According to the billing\, it looks like Osborne will be covering Bob Dylan songs. \n\n \nJoan Osborne at Dakota Jazz Club (Sep 30\, 2023)\n\n\nWe saw Osborne in Sept 2023 and said\, “American singer/songwriter Joan Osborne shot into fame with her recorded song “One Of Us” (written by Eric Bazilian)\, from her debut album Relish\, in 1995. The song poses the question\, what if God was one of us\, just trying to find his way home. The single was certified Gold and earning three Grammy nominations. The song was so popular\, even Prince covered the song on his album Emancipation in 1996.” \n\n\nTour Dates: \n\n\n\nSEP 25 Uptown Theatre Napa Napa\, CA\nSEP 27 Gallo Center For the Arts Modesto\, CA\nSEP 28 The Venice West Venice\, CA\nSEP 30 Musical Instrument Museum Phoenix\, AZ\nOCT 2 Space Evanston\, IL\nOCT 3 Dakota Minneapolis\, MN\nOCT 4 Dakota Minneapolis\, MN\nOCT 7 Historical Armory Fort Collins\, CO\nOCT 8 Boulder Theater Boulder\, CO\nOCT 10 Kirkland Performance Center Kirkland\, WA\nOCT 11 Patricia Reser Center for the Arts Beaverton\, OR\nNOV 7 The Palladium at the Center for the Performing Arts Carmel\, IN\nNOV 8 Edwin J. SUMMARY:Garbage at First Avenue
DESCRIPTION:Oct 4\, 2025 Saturday\nGarbage \nwith Starcrawler\nat First Avenue\nfirst-avenue.com \nAmerican rock band Garbage (led by Scottish singer/actress Shirley Manson) will be headlining First Avenue on October 4\, 2025\, in support of their new album Let All That We Imagine Be the Light. \n  \nTo be perfectly honest\, we were looking forward to seeing the group at Minnesota Yacht Club Music Festival in July 2025\, but was somewhat disappointed in the show. Possibly because Shirley Manson was dressed in a plastic dress and it was so hot\, she admitted she was not in tip-top shape: “Manson shared how she suddenly was way too hot\, being in the plastic outfit she had (“I don’t know what I was f’ing thinking”)\, but thankfully Garbage only had a little time left. The weather was also starting to cool down\, so hopefully Manson was starting to feel a little less overheated. In any case\, Garbage finished their set strong and left the stage to thankful fans.” \nStarcrawler to open. \n\nI don’t think we’ll ever forget how amazing this band is when we saw them in Oct 2019: “\nVisually and performance-wise\, this is probably our favorite show of Rocktober. Everything from de Wilde strangling herself with the mic cords\, to Cash’s guitar playing on the Turf Club’s bar (see photo!)\, to that faithful cover of the Ramones’ “Pet Semetary” song was done amazingly well.” \nThe Los Angeles previously toured with Boris\, and now with Garbage. I hate to say it\, but I feel like Starcrawler’s performance may actually outshine Garbage\, just based on seeing the two bands played before. \nTour Dates \n\n\nSep 3\, 2025 Hard Rock Live Orlando\, FL\nSep 5\, 2025 Pompano Beach Amphitheatre Pompano Beach\, FL\nSep 6\, 2025 Jannus Live St. Petersburg\, FL\nSep 8\, 2025 The Eastern Atlanta\, GA\nSep 10\, 2025 The Pinnacle Nashville\, TN\nSep 12\, 2025 Agora Theatre and Ballroom Cleveland\, OH\nSep 13\, 2025 Masonic Temple – Cathedral Theatre Detroit\, MI\nSep 16\, 2025 Franklin Music Hall Philadelphia\, PA\nSep 17\, 2025 The Anthem Washington\, DC\nSep 18\, 2025 Roadrunner Boston\, MA\nSep 20\, 2025 Brooklyn Paramount New York\, NY\nSep 21\, 2025 College Street Music Hall New Haven\, CT\nSep 23\, 2025 Stage AE Pittsburgh\, PA\nSep 24\, 2025 HISTORY Toronto\, ON\nSep 26\, 2025 Ohana Festival – Doheny State Beach Dana Point\, CA\nSep 29\, 2025 The Salt Shed – The Shed Chicago\, IL\nSep 30\, 2025 MegaCorp Pavilion Newport\, KY\nOct 1\, 2025 KEMBA Live! SUMMARY:Swervedriver at Turf Club (Oct 4\, 2025)
DESCRIPTION:Swervedriver at Turf Club (Oct 4\, 2025)\n\n\nOctober 4\, 2025 Saturday \nSwervedriver\nwith Porcupine\nat Turf Club\nfirst-avenue.com \n\n  \nOxford’s Swervedriver is headlining the Turf Club\, in St Paul\, on October 4\, 2025. \n\n  \n \nSwervedriver at the Turf Club (Mar 12\, 2015)\n\n\nWe saw the band in March 2015 and mentioned: “Swervedriver is also heading down to SXSW\, this year (they’ve already announced a free show). Expect to see the band continue their tour to the East Coast after SXSW. As you can see from their autographed setlist\, the band played almost all of their new album I Wasn’t Born to Lose You\, with the exception of “English Subtitles” and “Red Queen Arms Race”. The other half of their set was older material\, including the classic 1993 album Mezcal Head (the album with the bull on the cover)\, including these two songs that ended their set\, “Girl On A Motorbike” and “Duel”.” \n\n  \n \nPorcupine at 7th St Entry (Feb 26\, 2023)\n\nPorcupine to open. We saw the band a few times\, the last being with Loki’s Folly in Feb 2023: “We previously caught Porcupine opening for The Posies in June 2018 and The Flesh Eaters in March 2019\, so they are playing in good company…. Evolving forward from a late ‘80s/‘90s indie-rock sound of Swervedriver meets QOTSA\, the trio is out in support of latest six-song record\, What You’ve Heard Isn’t Real (on Dead Broke Rekerds/DC-Jam) and recent lead single\, ‘Lifetime’. The teenage alienation of their version of Hüsker Dü’s ‘Standing by the Sea’ from the new record was originally penned by Norton’s ex-band mate\, the late Grant Hart\, and is a fitting tribute to his musical legacy. Even songs like 2011’s ‘Rooftops’ resonate further\, with Norton providing an extra bump from his restless stage presence and formidable bass skills.” \n  \nTour Dates: \n\n  \n\n\nSEP 29 Great American Music Hall San Francisco\, CA\nOCT 1 Mississippi Studios Portland\, OR\nOCT 2 Neumos Seattle\, WA\nOCT 4 Turf Club St Paul\, MN\nOCT 5 Thalia Hall Chicago\, IL\n\n\n  \nSocial Share\n Share on Add Us (Opens in new window)\n Add Us\n \n Share on Instagram (Opens in new window)\n Instagram\n \n Share on X (Opens in new window)\n X\n \n Share on Bluesky (Opens in new window)\n Bluesky\n \n Share on Facebook (Opens in new window)\n Facebook\n More\n Print (Opens in new window)\n Print\n \n Share on Reddit (Opens in new window)\n Reddit\n \n Email a link to a friend (Opens in new window)\n Email\n \n Share on Pinterest (Opens in new window)\n Pinterest\n \n Share on Tumblr (Opens in new window)\n Tumblr\n \n Share on Threads (Opens in new window)\n Threads\n \n Share on WhatsApp (Opens in new window)\n WhatsApp\n \n Share on LinkedIn (Opens in new window)\n LinkedIn\n \n Share on Mastodon (Opens in new window)\n Mastodon\n \n Share on Telegram (Opens in new window)\n Telegram\n \n Share on Nextdoor (Opens in new window)\n Nextdoor\n Like this:Like Loading…

SUMMARY:Destroyer at Fine Line (Oct 4\, 2025)
DESCRIPTION:Destroyer at Fine Line (Oct 4\, 2025)\n\n\nOctober 4\, 2025 Saturday \nDestroyer\nwith Jennifer Castle\nat Fine Line\nfirst-avenue.com \n\n  \nDestroyer is headlining the Fine Line\, in Minneapolis\, on October 4\, 2025\, in support of their 14th album Dan’s Boogie (Merge Records). This upcoming tour will feature a full seven-piece band\, for a complete Destroyer experience. \n\n  \n \nDestroyer at Fine Line (January 18\, 2018)\n\n\nWe saw Destroyer in Jan 2018 and mentioned: “Destroyer came on stage slightly later than advertised. The Vancouver band is fronted by singer-songwriter Dan Bejar\, and features Nicholas Bragg on guitar\, Tim Loewen on bass\, Ted Bois on keys\, Scott Morgan on drums\, and secret weapon Fisher Rose on trumpet. The thing to note about Destroyer is that they sound very different from album to album. In Bejar’s words\, “That’s kind of my goal: to start from scratch every time.”” \n\n  \n \nJennifer Castle at Dakota Jazz Club (Oct 30\, 2014)\n\nJennifer Castle to open. We saw Castle over ten years ago\, at the Dakota Jazz Club in October 2014 (but she’s previously toured with Destroyer last year): “Toronto’s Jennifer Castle decorated the stage with flowers that she found along the long road to Minneapolis. She joking offered to sell the flowers too\, along with her entire discography for sale at the merch table. She started and ended her set with covers\, starting with Bob Dylan’s “Walkin’ Down the Line” and ending with a traditional song “Sailor’s Blessing”\, which she sang a cappella. Sandwiched between were mostly selections from her latest album Pink City\, which came out last month on Idée Fixe Records.” \n  \nDestroyer On Tour \n\n  \n\n\nSep 23 Eugene\, OR – WOW Hall ^\nSep 24 San Francisco\, CA – August Hall ^\nSep 25 Los Angeles\, CA – The Bellwether ^\nSep 26 Phoenix\, AZ – The Rebel Lounge ^\nSep 29 Dallas\, TX – Trees ^\nOct 01 Louisville\, KY – Whirling Tiger ^\nOct 02 Chicago\, IL – Thalia Hall ^\nOct 03 Milwaukee\, WI – Vivarium ^\nOct 04 Minneapolis\, MN – Fine Line ^\nOct 06 Cleveland\, OH – Beachland Ballroom ^\nOct 07 Pittsburgh\, PA – Mr. Smalls Theatre ^\nOct 08 Toronto\, ON – The Opera House ^\nOct 09 Montréal\, QC – Les Foufounes Électriques ^\nOct 10 Boston\, MA – Paradise Rock Club ^\nOct 11 Brooklyn\, NY – Knockdown Center ^*\nOct 12 Philadelphia\, PA – Underground Arts\nOct 14 Washington\, DC – Black Cat ^\nOct 15 Carrboro\, NC – Cat’s Cradle ^\nOct 16 Atlanta\, GA – Hell at The Masquerade ^\nOct 17 Nashville\, TN – Basement East ^\nOct 18 St. Louis\, MO – Off Broadway ^\nOct 19 Kansas City\, MO – Warehouse on Broadway ^\nOct 21 Denver\, CO – Bluebird Theater ^\nOct 22 Salt Lake City\, UT – Urban Lounge ^\nOct 23 Boise\, ID – Shrine Social Club ^\nOct 24 Portland\, OR – Aladdin Theater ^\nOct 25 Seattle\, WA – Crocodile ^\nOct 26 Vancouver\, BC – Vogue Theatre ^\nwith Jennifer Castle ^ \nwith Cass McCombs *\n\n\nSocial Share\n Share on Add Us (Opens in new window)\n Add Us\n \n Share on Instagram (Opens in new window)\n Instagram\n \n Share on X (Opens in new window)\n X\n \n Share on Bluesky (Opens in new window)\n Bluesky\n \n Share on Facebook (Opens in new window)\n Facebook\n More\n Print (Opens in new window)\n Print\n \n Share on Reddit (Opens in new window)\n Reddit\n \n Email a link to a friend (Opens in new window)\n Email\n \n Share on Pinterest (Opens in new window)\n Pinterest\n \n Share on Tumblr (Opens in new window)\n Tumblr\n \n Share on Threads (Opens in new window)\n Threads\n \n Share on WhatsApp (Opens in new window)\n WhatsApp\n \n Share on LinkedIn (Opens in new window)\n LinkedIn\n \n Share on Mastodon (Opens in new window)\n Mastodon\n \n Share on Telegram (Opens in new window)\n Telegram\n \n Share on Nextdoor (Opens in new window)\n Nextdoor\n Like this:Like Loading…

DESCRIPTION:Panchiko at FIVE (Oct 4\, 2025)\n\nOctober 4\, 2025 Saturday \nPanchiko\nwith Glixen\nat FIVE\nfivejax.com\nEnglish band Panchiko will be headlining FIVE\, in Jacksonville\, on October 4\, 2025. We last mentioned the band in June 2025\, when they played in Minneapolis.\nGlixen to open.\n\n \nGlixen at Cloudland (Mar 2\, 2024)\n\nWe saw Glixen in March 2024\nand said\, “Glixen next took the stage. They are also a shoegazing band from Phoenix\, Arizona with headliner Aislinn Ritchie on vocals and guitar with Esteban Santana on guitar\, Sonia Garcia on bass and Keire Johnson on drums. Whereas she’s green was more melodic\, Glixen leans heavily into fuzz and distortion\, as Ritchie explained to Alternative Press: “Our goal is just to have it sound more heavy and grittier\, but also have that sweetness to it.””\nTour Dates:\n\nSep. 23 2025 Electric City Buffalo\, NY\nSep. 24 2025 Empire Live Albany\, NY\nSep. 26 2025 Higher Ground South Burlington\, VT\nSep. 27 2025 District Music Hall Norwalk\, CT\nSep. 28 2025 The National Richmond\, VA\nSep. 30 2025 Woodward Theatre Cincinnati\, OH\nOct. 02 2025 Cannery Hall Nashville\, TN\nOct. 03 2025 40 Watt Club Athens\, GA\nOct. 04 2025 FIVE Jacksonville\, FL\nOct. 05 2025 ZeyZey Miami Miami\, FL\nNov. 04 2025 Élysée Montmartre Paris\, France\n\nSocial Share\n Share on Add Us (Opens in new window)\n Add Us\n \n Share on Instagram (Opens in new window)\n Instagram\n \n Share on X (Opens in new window)\n X\n \n Share on Bluesky (Opens in new window)\n Bluesky\n \n Share on Facebook (Opens in new window)\n Facebook\n More\n Print (Opens in new window)\n Print\n \n Share on Reddit (Opens in new window)\n Reddit\n \n Email a link to a friend (Opens in new window)\n Email\n \n Share on Pinterest (Opens in new window)\n Pinterest\n \n Share on Tumblr (Opens in new window)\n Tumblr\n \n Share on Threads (Opens in new window)\n Threads\n \n Share on WhatsApp (Opens in new window)\n WhatsApp\n \n Share on LinkedIn (Opens in new window)\n LinkedIn\n \n Share on Mastodon (Opens in new window)\n Mastodon\n \n Share on Telegram (Opens in new window)\n Telegram\n \n Share on Nextdoor (Opens in new window)\n Nextdoor\n Like this:Like Loading…
