SUMMARY:Event: Of Monsters and Men at Palace Theatre (Nov 7-8\, 2025)
DESCRIPTION:Of Monsters and Men at Palace Theatre (Nov 7-8\, 2025)\n\nNovember 7\, 2025 Friday \nNovember 8\, 2025 Saturday \nOf Monsters and Men\nwith Arny Margret\nat Palace Theatre\nfirst-avenue.com\nThe popular Of Monsters and Men returns to Minnesota\, selling out Friday night and quickly adding an additional date at the Palace Theatre\, in St Paul.\n\n \nOf Monsters and Men at Fine Line (March 29\, 2012)\n\nWe saw them when they just had one album\, at the Fine Line in 2012 and said\, “Of Monsters and Men sounded so happy to be here in America. They mentioned how they did the tourist-thing\, seeing the Mall of America. There are also a lot of them on stage; I think I counted seven of them. Many of their songs contain “hey! hey!” and yes\, it’s catchy. Since the band only has one album\, My Head Is an Animal\, most of the songs on the setlist were from that album. They did throw in The Cure’s “Close to Me” cover\, which in typical Of Monsters and Men had a massive build up at the end. Not on the setlist is “Sloom”\, which was an encore song squeezed in between “Your Bones” and “Lakehouse”.”\n \nNote: The ticket limit is strict. Any attempt to exceed the posted ticket limit per customer or household\, or to game the system in any way\, will result in cancellation of orders without notice. There is a transfer delay for all tickets prior to the show.\n \nNote: The ticket limit is strict. Any attempt to exceed the posted ticket limit per customer or household\, or to game the system in any way\, will result in cancellation of orders without notice. There is a transfer delay for all tickets prior to the show.\n \nArny Margret at Palace Theatre (July 12\, 2025)\n\nArny Margret to open. We last saw her at the Palace Theatre in July 2025 and said\, “She may never be an extremely gregarious sort on stage\, but the poise and a sense that she knew she belonged on that stage was a palpable step up from March. And these songs deserve that strength as they are really quite beautiful. Margret is a voice worth seeking out and her music exudes a depth that belies her youth. The reaction from the crowd was genuine and positive and although in a little different direction from the headliner\, I think it was close enough to speak to the crowd. She ended with an efficient set of just over thirty minutes. Having seen both her Minnesota shows\, I’ll be on the watch for her next performance and how she continues to develop. I found out after the show that Margret had a fever and had left immediately after the show\, which is quite impressive given how well she did. Get better quickly!”\nTour Dates:\n\n\n28th Oct – Toronto\, ON – History \n\n\n29th Oct – Boston\, MA – Roadrunner \n\n\n1st Nov – Brooklyn\, NY – Brooklyn Paramount \n\n\n2nd Nov – Brooklyn\, NY – Brooklyn Paramount \n\n\n3rd Nov – Washington\, DC – The Anthem \n\n\n4th Nov – Philadelphia\, PA – The Met \n\n\n6th Nov – Chicago\, IL – The Salt Shed (Indoors) \n\n\n7th Nov – St. Paul\, MN – Palace Theatre \n\n\n8th Nov – St. Paul\, MN – Palace Theatre \n\n\n10th Nov – Nashville\, TN – The Pinnacle \n\n\n11th Nov – Atlanta\, GA – The Eastern \n\n\n13th Nov – Austin\, TX – ACL Live at The Moody Theater \n\n\n19th Nov – Dallas\, TX – Bomb Factory \n\n\n22nd Nov – Salt Lake City\, UT – Rockwell at The Complex \n\n\n23rd Nov – Denver\, CO – Mission Ballroom \n\n\n25th Nov – Los Angeles\, CA – Hollywood Palladium \n\n\n26th Nov  – Oakland\, CA – Fox Theater \n\n\n  \nSocial Share\n Share on Add Us (Opens in new window)\n Add Us\n \n Share on Instagram (Opens in new window)\n Instagram\n \n Share on X (Opens in new window)\n X\n \n Share on Bluesky (Opens in new window)\n Bluesky\n \n Share on Facebook (Opens in new window)\n Facebook\n More\n Print (Opens in new window)\n Print\n \n Share on Reddit (Opens in new window)\n Reddit\n \n Email a link to a friend (Opens in new window)\n Email\n \n Share on Pinterest (Opens in new window)\n Pinterest\n \n Share on Tumblr (Opens in new window)\n Tumblr\n \n Share on Threads (Opens in new window)\n Threads\n \n Share on WhatsApp (Opens in new window)\n WhatsApp\n \n Share on LinkedIn (Opens in new window)\n LinkedIn\n \n Share on Mastodon (Opens in new window)\n Mastodon\n \n Share on Telegram (Opens in new window)\n Telegram\n \n Share on Nextdoor (Opens in new window)\n Nextdoor\n Like this:Like Loading…

SUMMARY:Event: Twin Cities Con (Nov 7-9\, 2025)
DESCRIPTION:Twin Cities Con (Nov 7-9\, 2025)\n\nTwin Cities Con\nDate: November 7-9\, 2025\nWebsite: www.twincitiescon.com\nAs I previously mentioned\, I’ll be missing Twin Cities Con this year\, but I am hopeful that we can still get some coverage this year for Minneapolis’ biggest comic convention!\n\n \nTwin Cities Con 2024\n\nPersonally speaking\, my favorite thing about this convention are all the cosplayers in one location! You get to see some of Minneapolis’ best costumes.\nFor comic book fans\, the top three\, for me\, is Paul Dini\, who’s work on Batman: The Animated Series (along with artist Bruce Timm) introduce the world to Harley Quinn. Phil Hester was at Twin Cities Con last year has a unique artist style to Green Arrow with Kevin Smith as the writer. Ron Marz created Kyle Rayner (Green Lantern) and was a big part of CrossGen Comics (created the popular Sojourn series).\nFor actors\, the biggest celebrities/actors that I’m excited are for Brendan Fraser\, the star of the Mummy series from 1999 to 2008\, and Rosario Dawson\, who recently was in the Netflix’s Marvel Television series… but I knew her from the Frank Miller’s Sin City movies. Giancarlo Esposito\, who famously was in Breaking Bad will also be at the convention!\n\n\n\nActor \n\nAhmed Best\nAlyson Stoner\nBrendan Fraser\nJohn Hannah\nPatricia Velásquez\nRosario Dawson\nClare Kramer\nGiancarlo Esposito\nKirk Fogg\nMarc Summers\nMarty Grabstein\nMick Foley\nPaul Rugg\nTom Ruegger\nVincent Martella\n\nAuthors \n\nAaron Reynolds/Effin’ Birds\nChad Corrie\nDelilah S.
