You might know Hackett’s work with  popular English band Genesis (the same band featuring Phil Collins and Peter Gabriel).\n\n          Steve Hackett       \n\n  We saw Hackett in April 2024 and wrote\, “Hackett and his band landed at the Uptown Theater in midtown Kansas City on his current North American Tour\, a tour initially delayed by the pandemic\, but since he’s been able to hit the road again\, seems to be playing cities and venues like he’s making up for lost time\, and hitting some markets he hasn’t played for years. He’s celebrating Genesis’ 1972 album Foxtrot on this tour\, shifting to a Lamb Lies Down on Broadway-centric setlist\, when returning to Europe and the UK this summer and fall\, and has celebrated other albums on previous tours. And all along\, Hackett has also regularly released solo albums\, including his twenty-eighth studio release\, the semi-autobiographical The Circus and the Nightwhale (via InsideOut music)\, out since February. DESCRIPTION:Gogol Bordello at First Avenue (Feb 25\, 2026)\n\n\nFebruary 25\, 2026 Wednesday\nGogol Bordello\nwith Puzzled Panther and Boris and the Joy\nat First Avenue\nfirst-avenue.com\n\nInternational punk band  Gogol Bordello (led by Ukrainian frontman Eugene Hütz) will be headlining First Avenue\, in Minneapolis\, on February 25\, 2026.\n\n\n          Gogol Bordello       \n\n\nWe saw Gogol Bordello in July 2023 and said\, “We still stand by our previously statement about Gogol Bordello\, from Oct 2017\, stating\, “If you really want to see the band\, buy your ticket early\, you’ll thank yourself later. The band is so great live\, and\, especially with the popular songs like ‘Start Wearing Purple’ and ‘Trans-Continental Hustle’\, will have the audience often going crazy for songs (so watching the audience is also half the fun).” We did run into a few people\, who was seeing the New York band for the first time on Tuesday night. They decided to buy a ticket based on word-of-mouth recommendation. The large international group is lead by singer/guitarist Eugene Hütz (Ukraine)\, with violinist Sergey Ryabtsev (Russia)\, percussionist Pedro Erazo (Ecuador)\, guitarist Boris Pelekh (Russia)\, drummer Korey Kingston (USA)\, bassist Gil Alexandre (Brazil)\, and accordion Erica Mancini (Argentina).
