SUMMARY:Jax: Alabama Shakes at The St. Augustine Amphitheatre (Apr 26\, 2026)
DESCRIPTION:Alabama Shakes (Apr 26\, 2026)\n \n\nExplore More\n■ Alabama ShakesAlabama Shakes is an American rock band formed in Athens\, Alabama\, in 2009. The band currently consists of lead singer and guitarist Brittany Howard\, guitarist Heath Fogg\, and bassist Zac Cockrell. \n\n\n\n\nApril 26\, 2026 Sunday\nAlabama Shakes\nat St. Augustine Amphitheatretheamp.com\n\nAthens’ Alabama Shakes is headlining The St. Augustine Amphitheatre\, in St Augustine\, on April 26\, 2026.\n\n\n Alabama Shakes \n\n\nWe caught Alabama Shakes in July 2025 and said\, “It’s great to have Alabama Shakes back in action and the band came out with a lot of performers\, but all supporting Howard’s tremendous vocals. Her banter was as powerful as her singing and after switching guitars\, she started a great riff for the next song. Her high range singing was shockingly good as she then dropped back into her normal range. Cockrell’s closing bass work was also excellent. The interplay between Howard and Fogg’s guitar and Cockrell’s bass was the key interest in a funky number\, even as all of the additional performers (and there were a lot\, as I think I counted nine total on stage) added a lot on vocals\, keys\, and drums. Some bands thrive in a live setting\, and Alabama Shakes was showing they are definitely one. Howard switched guitars again and they launched into Hold On and the entire band was into it\, with Howard’s big smile closing it out. (“I love it when y’all sing along\, y’all are so beautiful.”) A quieter song followed before moving back to the faster tempo songs. The fastest song yet in The Greatest\, which had everyone tromping along until a purposeful slowed tempo in the middle\, that then gave way to the original speed and a frenzied ending. At some point\, Fogg had also changed guitars; I think to one of the ones Howard had been playing. A very appreciative Howard introduced the band before going into a very R&B intro guitar lick. One last guitar switch and the band was nearly done\, with a powerful closer\, Gimme All Your Love.”\nSocial Share\n Share on Add Us (Opens in new window)\n Add Us\n \n Share on Instagram (Opens in new window)\n Instagram\n \n Share on X (Opens in new window)\n X\n \n Share on Bluesky (Opens in new window)\n Bluesky\n \n Share on Facebook (Opens in new window)\n Facebook\n More\n Print (Opens in new window)\n Print\n \n Share on Reddit (Opens in new window)\n Reddit\n \n Email a link to a friend (Opens in new window)\n Email\n \n Share on Pinterest (Opens in new window)\n Pinterest\n \n Share on Tumblr (Opens in new window)\n Tumblr\n \n Share on Threads (Opens in new window)\n Threads\n \n Share on WhatsApp (Opens in new window)\n WhatsApp\n \n Share on LinkedIn (Opens in new window)\n LinkedIn\n \n Share on Mastodon (Opens in new window)\n Mastodon\n \n Share on Telegram (Opens in new window)\n Telegram\n \n Share on Nextdoor (Opens in new window)\n Nextdoor\n Like this:Like Loading...

SUMMARY:Jax: The Chameleons at Jack Rabbits (April 26\, 2026)
DESCRIPTION:The Chameleons (April 26\, 2026)\n \n\nExplore More\n■ The ChameleonsThe Chameleons are an English rock band formed in Middleton\, Greater Manchester\, in 1981. The band’s classic line-up consisted of bassist and vocalist Mark Burgess\, guitarists Reginald Smithies and Dave Fielding and drummer John Lever. \n\n\n\n\nApril 26\, 2026 SundayThe Chameleons\nwith The Veldtat Jack Rabbitsjaxlive.com\n\nManchester’s Chameleons is headlining Jack Rabbits\, in Jacksonville\, in support of their latest album Arctic Moon (Metropolis Records). You can read our review of the record here.\n\n Chameleons at recordBar\, Kansas City MO (04 November 2024) \n\nWe saw the band in November 2024 and wrote\, “Despite the absence of Dave Fielding and missing drummer John Lever (who died in 2017)\, the band faithfully reprised their seminal album\, with many in the crowd still remembering the old lyrics enough to sing along\, especially on singles “Mad Jack” (which opens the record)\, first single\, “Tears” and second side opener\, “Swamp Thing”. Although the band was well-known in Europe and the UK\, they missed many radars in the US compared to their Manchester cohorts of the day- i.e. The Smiths\, Joy Division/New Order\, The Stone Roses- perhaps due to Strange Times not being available on CD until seven years later\, in 1993. The post-punk punch that begins the album does wane towards its end\, towards the gentler and retrospective\, as on “Childhood” and “I’ll Remember”\, but energy again increased as the band played its brand-new song\, “Where are You?”\, released in May as a three-song EP via Metropolis Records. It’s also the first single from a planned new forthcoming full album\, “Arctic Moon” and brought momentum up one last time before the encore.”\n\n The Veldt \n\nThe Veldt was previously announced will be the support for this North American tour. We haven’t seen the band since March 2017 when they opened for Phantogram: “The evening began with a welcome return of experimental shoegazing soul band The Veldt and a too brief thirty-five minute set that truly showed their music was ahead of its time. Formed in the mid-80’s in Raleigh\, NC\, the group led by the Chavis brothers (Daniel and Danny) have influences that lean from Prince to Echo and the Bunnymen\, Otis Redding to My Bloody Valentine\, and were on labels like Capitol\, Mammoth\, and Mercury during the ‘90s. Layered experimental sounds coming from artists like The Weeknd\, Anderson .Paak and Miguel\, are just catching up to what The Veldt was exploring twenty years prior.”\nTour Dates\n\nApr 7 Minneapolis\, MN Varsity Theater\nApr 8 Madison\, WI Majestic Theatre\nApr 10 Chicago\, IL Lincoln Hall\nApr 11 Detroit\, MI The Magic Stick\nApr 12 Toronto\, ON Mod Club\nApr 13 Montreal\, QC Théâtre Fairmount\nApr 14 Somerville\, MA Crystal Ballroom\nApr 16 Brooklyn\, NY Warsaw\nApr 17 Washington\, DC Black Cat\nApr 18 Philadelphia\, PA Underground Arts\nApr 19 Asbury Park\, NJ The Stone Pony\nApr 20 Richmond\, VA Richmond Music Hall\nApr 21 Durham\, NC Motorco Music Hall\nApr 23 Tampa\, FL New World Music Hall\nApr 24 Orlando\, FL The Social\nApr 25 West Palm Beach\, FL Respectable Street\nApr 26 Jacksonville\, FL Jack Rabbits\nApr 27 Atlanta\, GA Center Stage – The Loft\nApr 28 Nashville\, TN The Basement East\nApr 30 Fort Worth\, TX Tulips\nMay 1 Austin\, TX Mohawk (outside)\nMay 2 Houston\, TX Numbers\n \n\n\nSocial Share\n Share on Add Us (Opens in new window)\n Add Us\n \n Share on Instagram (Opens in new window)\n Instagram\n \n Share on X (Opens in new window)\n X\n \n Share on Bluesky (Opens in new window)\n Bluesky\n \n Share on Facebook (Opens in new window)\n Facebook\n More\n Print (Opens in new window)\n Print\n \n Share on Reddit (Opens in new window)\n Reddit\n \n Email a link to a friend (Opens in new window)\n Email\n \n Share on Pinterest (Opens in new window)\n Pinterest\n \n Share on Tumblr (Opens in new window)\n Tumblr\n \n Share on Threads (Opens in new window)\n Threads\n \n Share on WhatsApp (Opens in new window)\n WhatsApp\n \n Share on LinkedIn (Opens in new window)\n LinkedIn\n \n Share on Mastodon (Opens in new window)\n Mastodon\n \n Share on Telegram (Opens in new window)\n Telegram\n \n Share on Nextdoor (Opens in new window)\n Nextdoor\n Like this:Like Loading...

Courtney and band worked hard to get the still-filling room into his corner and pulled it off with songs like his initial single\, ‘Glitter & Gold’ and even pulled a move out of the Tantrums playbook during hit\, ‘Fire’ (heard in the Bradley Cooper chef movie\, Burnt as well) by having everyone huddle low on the ground\, before exploding up for the song’s chorus. Based on the warm reception he’s received locally\, expect a return headlining show\, once the album is released.”\n\n\nBelle and Chain to open. \n\n2026 North America Tour Dates\n\nApril 1 – Dada Dallas – Dallas\, TX*\nApril 2 – 3TEN Austin City Limits Live – Austin\, TX*\nApril 4 – Chickie Wah Wah – New Orleans\, LA*\nApril 6 – Crowbar – Tampa\, FL*\nApril 7 – The Social – Orlando\, FL*\nApril 8 – Jack Rabbits – Jacksonville\, FL*\nApril 10 – The Masquerade – Atlanta\, GA*\nApril 11 – Kings – Raleigh\, NC*\nApril 12 – Pearl Street Warehouse – Washington\, DC*\nApril 14 – The Sultan Room – Brooklyn\, NY*\nApril 15 – Sonia Live Music Venue – Cambridge\, MA*\nApril 17 – Grog Shop – Cleveland\, OH*\nApril 18 – Adelaide Hall – Toronto\, Canada*\nApril 19 – El Club – Detroit\, MI*\nApril 21 – 3rd and Lindsley – Nashville\, TN*\nApril 22 – HI-FI – Indianapolis\, IN*\nApril 24 – Space – Evanston\, IL*\nApril 25 – Vivarium – Milwaukee\, WI*\nApril 26 – Turf Club – St Paul\, MN*\nApril 28 – Reverb – Omaha\, NE*\nApril 29 – Bottleneck – Lawrence\, KS*\nMay 1 – Meow Wolf – Santa Fe\, NM*\nMay 2 – Last Exit Live – Phoenix\, AZ*\nMay 3 – Moroccan Lounge – Los Angeles\, CA*\nMay 26 – The Academy\, Middle Abbey Street – Dublin\, Ireland\nMay 27 – The Garage – Glasgow\, United Kingdom\nMay 29 – Night & Day Cafe – Manchester\, United Kingdom\nMay 30 – The Lower Third – London\, United Kingdom\nMay 31 – Les Étoiles – Paris\, France\nJune 2 – Bitterzoet – Amsterdam\, Netherlands\nJune 3 – Kavka – Antwerp\, Belgium\nJune 4 – Artheater – Cologne\, Germany\nJune 6 – Chelsea – Vienna\, Austria\nJune 7 – Turbina Kulturális Központ – Budapest\, Hungary\nJune 9 – Kranhalle – Munich\, Germany\nJune 10 – Mikropol – Berlin\, Germany\nJune 12 – Klub Mechanik – Warsaw\, Poland\n \n* Unplugged Solo Acoustic Sessions Tour\n\n\nSocial Share\n Share on Add Us (Opens in new window)\n Add Us\n \n Share on Instagram (Opens in new window)\n Instagram\n \n Share on X (Opens in new window)\n X\n \n Share on Bluesky (Opens in new window)\n Bluesky\n \n Share on Facebook (Opens in new window)\n Facebook\n More\n Print (Opens in new window)\n Print\n \n Share on Reddit (Opens in new window)\n Reddit\n \n Email a link to a friend (Opens in new window)\n Email\n \n Share on Pinterest (Opens in new window)\n Pinterest\n \n Share on Tumblr (Opens in new window)\n Tumblr\n \n Share on Threads (Opens in new window)\n Threads\n \n Share on WhatsApp (Opens in new window)\n WhatsApp\n \n Share on LinkedIn (Opens in new window)\n LinkedIn\n \n Share on Mastodon (Opens in new window)\n Mastodon\n \n Share on Telegram (Opens in new window)\n Telegram\n \n Share on Nextdoor (Opens in new window)\n Nextdoor\n Like this:Like Loading...

SUMMARY:Mpls: Colin James at The Parkway Theater (Apr 26\, 2026)
DESCRIPTION:Colin James at The Parkway Theater (Apr 26\, 2026)\n\n\nApril 26\, 2026 Sunday\nColin James\nwith Matt Andersen and Terra Lightfootat The Parkway Theater\ntheparkwaytheater.com\n\nCanadian blues/rock guitarist Colin James will be headlining the Parkway Theater\, in Minneapolis\, on April 26\, 2026\, as part of a make-up date for his unexpected cancellation of his 2024 tour due to a car accident.\n\n\nDetails from venue:\n\n\n\nMulti-award-winning blues/rock guitarist Colin James’ last US tour in 2024 was cut short due to an automobile accident. Now fully recovered he’s bringing his exciting blend of blues and rock music to fans in the States with the upcoming “Coast to Coast Tour” in April and May. Joining him on the tour are Matt Andersen and Terra Lightfoot to celebrate the rich legacy of electrifying Canadian blues and roots music. \nThe “Coast to Coast Tour” starring Colin James\, Matt Andersen and Terra Lightfoot brings these friends and fellow musicians together for an 18-city US Spring 2026 cross-country tour celebrating blues and folk to rock and soul. Audiences can expect powerful individual sets and inspired collaborative performances from three of Canada’s most acclaimed and distinctive roots artists. The “Coast to Coast Tour” honors the enduring power of music to cross borders\, generations\, and traditions – live on stage!\n \n\n\n\n Terra Lightfoot \n\n\nWe saw Terra Lightfoot in June 2018 and wrote\, “Hamilton\, ONT singer-songwriter Terra Lightfoot was first up\, with band and well-traveled SG guitar named “Veronica” in tow\, in support of last fall’s New Mistakes (Sonic Unyon / Sony Music). Lightfoot (no relation to fellow Canuck Gordon) has a rootsy blues sound\, and guitar work that is confident and often roaring with swagger. With stomping songs like ‘Paradise’\, this is a storm from the great white north worth catching the next time through. ”\n\nSocial Share\n Share on Add Us (Opens in new window)\n Add Us\n \n Share on Instagram (Opens in new window)\n Instagram\n \n Share on X (Opens in new window)\n X\n \n Share on Bluesky (Opens in new window)\n Bluesky\n \n Share on Facebook (Opens in new window)\n Facebook\n More\n Print (Opens in new window)\n Print\n \n Share on Reddit (Opens in new window)\n Reddit\n \n Email a link to a friend (Opens in new window)\n Email\n \n Share on Pinterest (Opens in new window)\n Pinterest\n \n Share on Tumblr (Opens in new window)\n Tumblr\n \n Share on Threads (Opens in new window)\n Threads\n \n Share on WhatsApp (Opens in new window)\n WhatsApp\n \n Share on LinkedIn (Opens in new window)\n LinkedIn\n \n Share on Mastodon (Opens in new window)\n Mastodon\n \n Share on Telegram (Opens in new window)\n Telegram\n \n Share on Nextdoor (Opens in new window)\n Nextdoor\n Like this:Like Loading...
