SUMMARY:Jax: First Coast Comic-Con at Duval Hall (July 11\, 2026)
DESCRIPTION:First Coast Comic-Con (July 11\, 2026)\n\nFirst Coast Comic-Con\nDate: July 11\, 2026\nWebsite: www.firstcoastcomiccon.com\nIt looks like I just missed First Coast Comic-Con\, which just took placed earlier in July with guests such as Amanda Conner\, Jimmy Palmiotti\, Greg Land\, Mike Spicer\, Pat Broderick\, Alex Saviuk\, Jeff Whiting\, Joe Doyle\, Dominic Pirozzi\, Chris Hrdlicka\, and John Crowther. What I am reading and what I like what I’m seeing is that they’ve kept the entry cost low ($10)\, and focused on comic book writers and artists.\nThe entry fee is going up next year\, but it’s because they are moving to a larger venue. Details below.\nWe can’t keep it a secret any longer\, comic fans! First Coast Comic-Con returns July 11\, 2026 — and we’re leveling up. \nWe’re moving to a larger venue\, bringing in more vendors\, and adding on-site food options to enhance your experience. This is just the beginning\, exciting announcements will be rolling out over the next year\, so stay tuned! \nThank you all for the incredible support. Let’s make 2026 our biggest year yet! \n\nIf it works out\, I’ll report back in July at the new venue.\n \nSocial Share\n Share on Add Us (Opens in new window)\n Add Us\n \n Share on Instagram (Opens in new window)\n Instagram\n \n Share on X (Opens in new window)\n X\n \n Share on Bluesky (Opens in new window)\n Bluesky\n \n Share on Facebook (Opens in new window)\n Facebook\n More\n Print (Opens in new window)\n Print\n \n Share on Reddit (Opens in new window)\n Reddit\n \n Email a link to a friend (Opens in new window)\n Email\n \n Share on Pinterest (Opens in new window)\n Pinterest\n \n Share on Tumblr (Opens in new window)\n Tumblr\n \n Share on Threads (Opens in new window)\n Threads\n \n Share on WhatsApp (Opens in new window)\n WhatsApp\n \n Share on LinkedIn (Opens in new window)\n LinkedIn\n \n Share on Mastodon (Opens in new window)\n Mastodon\n \n Share on Telegram (Opens in new window)\n Telegram\n \n Share on Nextdoor (Opens in new window)\n Nextdoor\n Like this:Like Loading…

SUMMARY:Jax: Men at Work at The St. Augustine Amphitheatre\, St. Augustine (July 17\, 2026)
DESCRIPTION:Let’s Knife Re-Cut by Shonen Knife (Jul 10\, 2026)\n\nExplore More\n■ Shonen KnifeShonen Knife is a Japanese pop-punk band formed in Osaka in 1981. Influenced by 1960s girl groups\, pop bands\, the Beach Boys\, and early punk rock bands such as the Ramones\, the band crafts stripped-down songs with simple yet unconventional lyrics sung in both Japanese and English. \n\n\n\n Shonen Knifeshonenknife.net\n\n\nOsaka trio Shonen Knife originally formed in 1981 and features sisters Naoko Yamano (guitars/vocals) and Atsuko Yamano (drums)\, plus their college friend Michie Nakatani (bass). Currently\, the trio features the two sister and drummer Risa Kawano (from the band Brinky).\n\n\nI’m happy to report that the trio decided to re-record their debut album Let’s Knife. The original album is long out of print and its songs are not on streaming… so\, the band wanted to give fans an easier way to get that album\, but now re-recorded with better production. The Let’s Knife Re-Cut comes out July 10\, 2026.\n\n\n Shonen Knife at Fine Line Music Cafe\, Minneapolis (02 Oct 2019) \n\n We saw Shonen Knife in Oct 2019 and wrote\, “As we’ve previously mentioned\, this is the closest we get to the original Shonen Knife\, as original drummer Mana Nishiura died in a car accident in 1999. Since her death\, the band took a break and Atsuko Yamano retired from the group. Atsuko would return to the group\, because Ritsuko Taneda went on maternity leave. Since 2015\, she’s been permanently part of the group (with current drummer Risa Kawano). As you can see from their setlist\, they mostly sing songs about food (with ice cream being the theme to at least three songs). You would find out that the group enjoys cookies\, ice cream\, and green tea.”\n\nShonen Knife is on tour this Summer with Men At Work and Toad The Wet Sprocket.\n\n7/16 – Pompano Beach\, FL – Pompano Beach Amphitheater\n7/17 – St. Augustine\, FL – The St. Augustine Amphitheatre\n7/18 – Clearwater\, FL – The BayCare Sound\n7/19 – LaGrange\, GA – Sweetland Amphitheatre at Boyd Park\n7/21 – Atlanta\, GA – Cobb Energy Performing Arts Centre\n7/22 – Southaven\, MS – BankPlus Amphitheater at Snowden Grove\n7/23 – Nashville\, TN – The Pinnacle\n7/24 – Detroit\, MI – Masonic Temple\n7/26 – Cohasset\, MA – The Music Circus\n7/28 – Durham\, NH – The Whittemore Center\n7/29 – Bangor\, ME – Maine Savings Amphitheater\n7/31 – New York\, NY – Le Poisson Rouge ❤︎ \n8/01 – Harrington\, DE – Delaware State Fair\n8/02 – Cleveland Heights\, OH – Evans Amphitheatre at Cain Park\n8/04 – Indianapolis\, IN – HI-FI ❤︎ \n8/05 – Grand Rapids\, MI – Frederik Meijer Gardens & Sculpture Park\n8/06 – Bloomington\, IL – Grossinger Motors Arena\n8/07 – New Lenox\, IL – Performing Arts Pavilion @ The Commons\n8/08 – Council Bluffs\, IA – Stir Cove at Harrah’s Casino\n8/10 – Salina\, KS – Stiefel Theatre\n8/11 – Denver\, CO– HQ ❤︎ \n8/13 – Nampa\, ID – Ford Idaho Center Amphitheater\n8/14 – Carnation\, WA – Remlinger Farms\n8/15 – Spokane\, WA – Shriners Event Center\n8/17 – Salt Lake City\, UT – Red Butte Garden\n8/18 – Reno\, NV – Silver Legacy Resort Casino\n8/19 – Saratoga\, CA – The Mountain Winery\n 8/20 – Los Angeles\, CA – The United Theater on Broadway\nwith Men at Work and Toad the Wet Sprocket \n❤︎ Shonen Knife headliner show (Osaka Ramones SET) \n\n\nSocial Share\n Share on Add Us (Opens in new window)\n Add Us\n \n Share on Instagram (Opens in new window)\n Instagram\n \n Share on X (Opens in new window)\n X\n \n Share on Bluesky (Opens in new window)\n Bluesky\n \n Share on Facebook (Opens in new window)\n Facebook\n More\n Print (Opens in new window)\n Print\n \n Share on Reddit (Opens in new window)\n Reddit\n \n Email a link to a friend (Opens in new window)\n Email\n \n Share on Pinterest (Opens in new window)\n Pinterest\n \n Share on Tumblr (Opens in new window)\n Tumblr\n \n Share on Threads (Opens in new window)\n Threads\n \n Share on WhatsApp (Opens in new window)\n WhatsApp\n \n Share on LinkedIn (Opens in new window)\n LinkedIn\n \n Share on Mastodon (Opens in new window)\n Mastodon\n \n Share on Telegram (Opens in new window)\n Telegram\n \n Share on Nextdoor (Opens in new window)\n Nextdoor\n Like this:Like Loading…

SUMMARY:Mpls: Lindsey Stirling at St. Augustine Amphitheatre (July 20\, 2026)
DESCRIPTION:Lindsey Stirling Duality Untamed Tour 2026 \nGlobal phenomenon Lindsey Stirling\, the trailblazing multi-platinum electronic violinist\, dancer\, and aerialist\, announced her new Duality Untamed Tour 2026 with special guest PVRIS\, a 32-date North American run launching in Richmond\, Virginia. The tour will bring Stirling’s genre-defying live show to major markets including Boston\, Washington\, DC\, Phoenix\, Seattle\, Los Angeles\, Kansas City\, Nashville\, and Chicago. \nLindsey Stirling is an artist who stylishly blends sonics with visuals. From her arresting mixture of pop\, classical\, and electronica\, to her meticulous attention to impactful\, thematic albums and videos. Artistically\, she defies categorization. You can easily find her studio efforts at the top of Billboard’s Top Dance Electronic Album chart\, Classical Albums chart\, and the all-genre Billboard 200 list. She is the rare artist\, especially in the new millennium\, to have amassed instrumental AC radio hits. \nThe tour is named after Stirling’s most recent studio album\, Duality\, another experimental opus that embraces Stirling’s indie music spirit\, and features guests such as Royal & the Serpent and Walk Off the Earth. Stirling makes brilliant use of Duality’s extravagant soundscape by exploring intricate questions of intuition and truth. “Eye Of the Untold Her” was used in Suni Lee’s gold & bronze medal winning floor routines during the Paris summer Olympics. \nStirling stays on the pulse of social media as well\, amassing 14.3+ million subscribers and over three billion views on YouTube. She also has over 5.2M followers on Tik Tok\, and 4.2M+ on Instagram. It’s no wonder that Forbes placed her at #4 on its 2015 World’s Top-Earning YouTube Stars list. In a career spanning more than a decade\, Stirling has sold more than 1 million headlining concert tickets. \nSocial Share\n Share on Add Us (Opens in new window)\n Add Us\n \n Share on Instagram (Opens in new window)\n Instagram\n \n Share on X (Opens in new window)\n X\n \n Share on Bluesky (Opens in new window)\n Bluesky\n \n Share on Facebook (Opens in new window)\n Facebook\n More\n Print (Opens in new window)\n Print\n \n Share on Reddit (Opens in new window)\n Reddit\n \n Email a link to a friend (Opens in new window)\n Email\n \n Share on Pinterest (Opens in new window)\n Pinterest\n \n Share on Tumblr (Opens in new window)\n Tumblr\n \n Share on Threads (Opens in new window)\n Threads\n \n Share on WhatsApp (Opens in new window)\n WhatsApp\n \n Share on LinkedIn (Opens in new window)\n LinkedIn\n \n Share on Mastodon (Opens in new window)\n Mastodon\n \n Share on Telegram (Opens in new window)\n Telegram\n \n Share on Nextdoor (Opens in new window)\n Nextdoor\n Like this:Like Loading…

SUMMARY:Jax: Easy Honey at Jack Rabbits (August 29\, 2026)
DESCRIPTION:Charleston\, SC-based indie-rockers Easy Honey have released their rapid-fire five song EP Plaid on the newly-formed Third Brother Records (via Atlantic Records’ 10K Projects). PRESS HERE to listen! Written and recorded over a three-day session at an isolated cabin in snowy Marble\, Colorado and mixed by the legendary Tony Hoffer (Beck Phoenix\, The Kooks\, Air\, M83)\, the tremendous creative power between Easy Honey’s members Selby Austin (vocals\, guitar)\, Darby McGlone (vocals\, guitar)\, Charlie Holt (drums\, vocals) and Webster Austin (bass\, vocals) is on full display on this EP. FLOOD premiered the collection this AM and called it a “swift\, five-song smattering of surf-rock\, basement-indie\, and some harmonica licks for good measure [that] takes the carefree euphoria of summiting a peak and filters it through the melancholy haze of the Dust Bowl. The result? An atmosphere Easy Honey says feels like ‘dusk in western North Carolina'” – PRESS HERE to check it out. \nWhile the quartet is celebrated for their heartfelt\, nostalgic sound\, this versatile collection finds them deepening their musical exploration with a more refined and expansive approach; reflecting a creative concept they’ve dubbed “tilting the cone.” It’s a sampler platter of styles that leaves the listener wanting more\, tethered together by their classic song structures\, instantly memorable hooks and relatable\, raucous yet sentimental lyrics about love\, wistfulness and life’s big moments. \nOpener “Basement Kissing” is a folky indie-rocker laced with harmonica and punctuated by some artful time-signature trickiness. It’s also their attempt to capture the energy of a house show they played in Harrisonburg\, Virginia—and anyone who’s ever been to one would probably agree that they’ve succeeded. Meanwhile\, the sprightly “Everything I See” (which was part of ESPN’s Music of the Month)\, driven by Darby’s funky guitar riff\, was his attempt at pairing darkness and light. The EP packs tons of lyrical concepts and musical adventure into short blasts of classic songwriting: “Pink Lady\,” which Webster says reminds him of an ’80s-era Graham Nash tune\, draws on Darby’s story of innocence and heartbreak; Selby describes the more Americana-leaning “Bonfire Burning” as a “retrospective\, looking-at-your-childhood-type song.” But even at its folkiest\, the track never feels straightforward—a killer chromatic lead guitar line adds a gently woozy atmosphere\, and then there’s the Nick Drake-styled closer “Twilight\,” which melds some Charleston imagery and touring references and Kerouac nods into a meditative life-on-the-road stunner. \n“The cone was the symbol of the last record\, how far we went\,” says Easy Honey. “We had this idea: What if we just go deeper into different genres and it’ll pull us out of ourselves more but also\, in this weird way\, cyclically make us more ourselves? That’s what Plaid is about—these songs are all very different\, but they all intersect in some way.” \nEasy Honey’s catalog is already robust: five EPs\, one live record\, and three studio albums\, including 2024’s critically acclaimed Cupidity Unlimited (check out their Garden & Gun Back Porch Session HERE)\, and as their live shows have taken off with an organic buzz (reaching another level in 2025 when they opened a run of dates for indie-pop artist Carter Vail)\, the band has stayed prolific in the studio\, refining a sound that echoes their name: sweet but thick\, sugary but substantial\, harkening back to a more carefree era of rock music. \nThe band’s Plaid Headline Tour is underway\, with new dates just announced\, and the full routing can be found below \nEASY HONEY UPCOMING SPRING/SUMMER TOUR DATES \nApril 30 – Phoenix\, AZ – Rebel Lounge \nMay 2 – Redondo Beach\, CA – Beach Life Festival \nMay 3 – San Diego\, CA – Voodoo Room @ House of Blues \nMay 5 – San Francisco\, CA – Bottom of the Hill \nMay 7 – Portland\, OR – Polaris Hill \nMay 8 – Seattle\, WA – Baby Yaga \nMay 9 – Boise\, ID – Shrine Social Club – Basement \nMay 11 – Denver\, CO – Lost Lake Lounge \nMay 14 – Houston\, TX – Bronze Peacock @ House of Blues \nMay 15 – Austin\, TX – 29th Street Ballroom \nMay 16 – Grand Prairie\, TX – The Jambox \nMay 17 – Grand Prairie\, TX – The Jambox \nMay 28 – Savannah\, GA – Hop Atomica \nJune 20 – Catonsville\, MD – Music City Summer Fest \nJuly 3 – Milwaukee\, WI – Summerfest \nJuly 25 – Macon\, GA – Bragg Jam Concert Crawl \nJuly 30-31 – Appleton\, WI – Mile of Music Festival \nAugust 2 – Chicago\, IL – Lollapalooza \nAugust 4 – Bethlehem\, PA – Musikfest \nAugust 5 – Wellfleet\, MA – Beachcomber \nAugust 7 – Hampton Beach\, NH – Wally’s \nAugust 9 – Lewes\, DE – Anna’s Coastal Kitchen \nAugust 11 – Philadelphia\, PA – Nikki Lopez \nAugust 13 – Duck\, NC – Swellsa Brewing \nAugust 14 – Wilmington\, NC – Bowstring \nAugust 15 – Charleston\, SC – The Windjammer \nAugust 27 – Miami\, FL – Zey Zey \nAugust 28 – Tampa\, FL – New World \nAugust 29 – Jacksonville\, FL – Jack Rabbits \nAugust 30 – Fernandina Beach\, FL – Tiger Island Room \nSocial Share\n Share on Add Us (Opens in new window)\n Add Us\n \n Share on Instagram (Opens in new window)\n Instagram\n \n Share on X (Opens in new window)\n X\n \n Share on Bluesky (Opens in new window)\n Bluesky\n \n Share on Facebook (Opens in new window)\n Facebook\n More\n Print (Opens in new window)\n Print\n \n Share on Reddit (Opens in new window)\n Reddit\n \n Email a link to a friend (Opens in new window)\n Email\n \n Share on Pinterest (Opens in new window)\n Pinterest\n \n Share on Tumblr (Opens in new window)\n Tumblr\n \n Share on Threads (Opens in new window)\n Threads\n \n Share on WhatsApp (Opens in new window)\n WhatsApp\n \n Share on LinkedIn (Opens in new window)\n LinkedIn\n \n Share on Mastodon (Opens in new window)\n Mastodon\n \n Share on Telegram (Opens in new window)\n Telegram\n \n Share on Nextdoor (Opens in new window)\n Nextdoor\n Like this:Like Loading…

SUMMARY:Jax: Modest Mouse at The Saint Augustine Amphitheatre (Sep 17\, 2026)
DESCRIPTION:The institution that is Modest Mouse has released another song from its forthcoming new album in the form of the quiet gut-punch “Third Side of the Moon.” The track has been a highlight of the band’s live show since it was first introduced two years ago. Frontman Isaac Brock’s vivid lyrical style is the anchor\, its poignant minimalism centering on the oversight of small details: “I can’t remember if your eyes were green or brown or red / ‘cause you always spoke in a whisper and I ain’t so good at listening.” \n“Third Side of the Moon” will appear on An Eraser and A Maze\, the band’s first new album in five years and debut on Glacial Pace Recordings/Virgin Music Group. It will be released on June 5th and was produced by Brock with additional production by Jacknife Lee (REM\, U2)\, Suzy Shinn (Weezer)\, and Justin Raisen (Charli xcx\, Kim Gordon\, Lil Yachty). Previous single “Picking Dragons’ Pockets” has been the most added on Mediabase’s Alternative chart for two consecutive weeks. \nThere’s a theory in physics — the idea that past\, present\, and future all exist simultaneously\, and that the passage of time itself is an illusion. It’s also the best way to understand An Eraser and a Maze\, because you can hear every era of Modest Mouse coexisting at once on it. It might mark the end of a timeline. Or the start of one. Or maybe both at once. \nModest Mouse is also celebrating the 30th anniversary of the release of its debut studio album\, This Is a Long Drive for Someone With Nothing To Talk About. It remains one of the most critically respected bands of the modern era and one that never really fit anywhere – which is precisely why it has mattered so much. \nModest Mouse will bring its critically lauded live show on the road for a North American spring/summer tour beginning May 12th in Spokane\, WA\, including festival stops at Bonnaroo\, Outside Lands and Shaky Knees. SUMMARY:Jax: Girl Named Tom at Florida Theatre (October 1\, 2026)

The intimate hall allowed 300 guests to witness the funeral for ZERO\, the avatar Billy Corgan first inhabited 30 years ago on Mellon Collie. \nBefore the tour kicks off\, The Smashing Pumpkins will headline their hometown’s famed Lollapalooza on July 31st for the first time in over 30 years\, marking their long-awaited return to the festival since its touring iteration in 1994. Then\, in September\, the Rats In A Cage tour opens in Columbus. OH\, before visiting multiple major markets throughout America and Canada. With the Pumpkins’ shows forever known for delivering raw performances on an epic emotional scale\, theRats In A Cage tour and its journey through the decades promises to showcase the kaleidoscopic range the band has wielded from Gish all the way to their most recent album release\, Aghori Mhori Mei. \nThe Rats In A Cage Tour follows a multi-faceted 2025 anniversary blowout for Mellon Collie\, including a deluxe vinyl reissue featuring previously unheard live recordings from the world tour supporting the album\, a special reimagining of Mellon Collie’s iconic hits and beloved fan-favorites onstage with the Lyric Opera Of Chicago\, and culinary collaborations with Vosges Haut-Chocolat and Erewhon. Released the same year as Machina/The Machines Of God’s 25th anniversary reissue\, the Mellon Collie celebration continued what has been a furiously productive decade for The Smashing Pumpkins\, with a flood of inspiration producing 2020’s Cyr\, 2022/2023’s triple-album Atum: A Rock Opera In Three Parts\, and 2024’s Aghori Mhori Mei. \nAlongside all of his Pumpkins activity\, the ever-prolific Corgan has remained busy in other ventures as well. Entering its second year\, his widely praised podcast The Magnificent Others has recently featured candid conversations about creativity and legacy with Courtney Love\, Billy Idol\, Nancy Wilson\, and Yungblud.
