She created her stagename from the Spanish word for “mala”\, which means “bad b**ch”. Areli is really excited to be on tour with her self-described “besties” Upsahl. Apparently\, Upsahl would later tell us how she was a fan of King Mala’s music when they first met… since then\, the two became close friends. Areli is joined on stage with Alison on drums\, Benny on bass\, and Bill on guitars. It would seem that her big hit song was “cult leader”\, as that song had the biggest response from the crowd.”\nDEZI to open. We previously saw Dezi in June 2024 and noted\, “Los Angeles’ Dezi opened the show. She’s joined by drummer Rami\, who already broke a drum stick\, indicating that it’s going to be a wild time. Sadly\, it was Dezi’s last night on the Xana tour\, so it was a little bitter sweet for the ending show… however\, she’s staying in Minneapolis for another day to play Pride Stoplight Party at the Fillmore on Saturday night. Songs on Dezi’s set included “Boba”\, a song that was written after a harassment on the subway for her Boba Tea.
