SUMMARY:Mpls: Cut Worms at Turf Club (May 8\, 2026)
DESCRIPTION:Cut Worms at Turf Club (May 8\, 2026)\n\nMay 8\, 2026 Friday\nCut Worms\nwith Tchotchke\nat Turf Club\nfirst-avenue.com\nCut Worms returns to Minnesota\, playing the Turf Club\, in St Paul on May 8\, 2026.\n\n Cut Worms \n\nWe caught Cut Worms in Oct 2023 and said\, “Turn out for the Cut Worms (aka Max Clarke) show was incredible\, for a sleepy Tuesday night! You wouldn’t know it until Cut Worms took the stage\, and his fans filled out the dance floor nicely. Clarke played a lot of tunes from his latest self-titled album\, which is actually his third album. His debut album\, called Hollow Ground was a big hit on Metacritic (thanks to Pitchfork leading the positive review). With the new self-titled album\, Clarke mentioned that he was inspired by The Beach Boys (Brian Wilson) four-and five-part harmonies\, so the record comes across feeling like it was written in the 60s. You can certainly pick up the influence when you hear them play “Ballad of the Texas King” live on stage\, with the jangle harmony.”\n\n Tchotchke \n\nTchotchke to open. We saw Tchotchke in April 2023 when they were first in the city: “Opening the show was New York’s Tchotchke (formerly Pinky Pinkyl from Los Angeles). The all-girls trio features singer and drummer Anastasia Sanchez\, bassist Eva Chambers\, and guitarist Emily Tooraen. This was their last week with King Tuff\, and they were sad to leave the tour. They recounted that they’ve been on the road with Tuff for what seemed like five weeks already…. Maybe it’s their first time in the Twin Cities\, but they were curious if Minnesotans ever “get cold?” Anastasia continues\, “I mean\, it’s cold here and you guys get snow.” They are referring to the fact that we were hit with a snow storm the previous night\, resulting in four or five inches of snow on the ground. While it’s uncommon to get snow in April\, Minnesotans shrug it off as Nature’s April Fools.”\nSocial Share\n Share on Add Us (Opens in new window)\n Add Us\n \n Share on Instagram (Opens in new window)\n Instagram\n \n Share on X (Opens in new window)\n X\n \n Share on Bluesky (Opens in new window)\n Bluesky\n \n Share on Facebook (Opens in new window)\n Facebook\n More\n Print (Opens in new window)\n Print\n \n Share on Reddit (Opens in new window)\n Reddit\n \n Email a link to a friend (Opens in new window)\n Email\n \n Share on Pinterest (Opens in new window)\n Pinterest\n \n Share on Tumblr (Opens in new window)\n Tumblr\n \n Share on Threads (Opens in new window)\n Threads\n \n Share on WhatsApp (Opens in new window)\n WhatsApp\n \n Share on LinkedIn (Opens in new window)\n LinkedIn\n \n Share on Mastodon (Opens in new window)\n Mastodon\n \n Share on Telegram (Opens in new window)\n Telegram\n \n Share on Nextdoor (Opens in new window)\n Nextdoor\n Like this:Like Loading…

SUMMARY:Mpls: ADULT. at 7th St Entry (May 8\, 2026)
DESCRIPTION:ADULT. at 7th St Entry (May 8\, 2026)\n\n\nMay 8\, 2026 Friday\nADULT.\nwith The Treasuryat 7th St Entryfirst-avenue.com\n\nDetroit’s synth-punk\, electroclash duo Adult. (Kuperus and Adam Lee Miller) is headlining the 7th St Entry\, in Minneapolis\, on May 8\, 2026\, in support of Kissing Luck Goodbye.\n\n\n Adult \n\n\nWe saw Adult. in May 2022 and said\, “Finally\, Adult. (Nicola Kuperus and Adam Lee Miller) closed the show out. Their fanbase are diehard fans\, many of them have seen the Detroit band numerous times. For this tour\, it would seem like they were using the Ring girl as inspiration on their concert poster. They seem to invoke fear and dread of a supernatural evil girl crawling on the floor\, set to a blood red background. The truth is\, seeing them on stage\, I thought it was closer to other horror genre\, like Hellraiser. It’s all good\, they still had a great electroclash/electropunk sound. Singer Nicola Kuperus is often seen with her arms open\, holding double mics (both have different sound effects). She seemed really happy to be on stage to her adoring fans.\n\nThe Treasury to open. \n\n ADULT.
