It’s kind of the main constant throughout our whole life. We get targeted for different things at different ages by commercials\, billboards\, social media ads\, etc. At different times of life we’re supposed to need different products\, clothes\, food\, meds\, etc. Everywhere you look\, something is trying to remind you of that. And that’s how we go through life until we die. It’s just kind of funny to think about.” \nThe video for the track was directed by Wong using live footage by Señor Diablo. Wong reveals\, “We made the video on the road. We’ve been touring in the past year and a half since Hello Hell came out\, it’s hard to find time to make a video. So\, we decided to use footage from tour. The live shots are from our show at Mag Bar in Louisville this past April. The rest of the footage is from the van and stopping to get food. The band\, with Nickole Regala (vocals\, bass)\, Frankie Sripada (guitar)\, and Sophia Williams (guitar\, backing vocals)\, was touring in support of their debut full length album\, All in a Name\, released in June 2025. With a drummer in tow\, the quartet went to work with their psych rock sound. Motel was a strong opener\, with Regala’s vocals a silky smooth intro for the band. But we also quickly got dual vocals with Williams regularly joining in on fantastic harmonies or dual leads. G String had excellent harmonies both vocally and musically on guitar. I also really dug the band’s stage presence\, with a slightly more hard core take. With Williams taking lead vocals\, it was a slight change\, but also allowed Regala to own the lower end on bass and Sripada to shred on a mid-song solo. Singer and guitarist Buzz Osborne\, aka King Buzzo (dressed in an illuminati robe)\, and was joined on stage by bassist Steven Shane McDonald and Dale Crover (the latter two wearing t-shirts with their first name).
