DESCRIPTION:Vacation Manor at 7th St Entry (Jul 31\, 2026)\n\n\nJuly 31\, 2026 Friday\n Vacation Manor\nwith Nolen Durham\nat 7th St Entry\nfirst-avenue.com\n\nVirginia indie-rock duo Vacation Manor will be headlining the 7th Street Entry\, on July 31\, 2026.\n\n\nThe last we heard from the duo was their EP Back to Town released on Nettwerk. The release was elf-produced by Nathan Towles [guitar\, vocals] and Cole Young [drums] over the past two years\, celebrating their 10 years as a band.\n\n\nNathan shares:\n\n\nWe’ve always set out to make records that feel personal and honest. Simply put\, ‘Back to Town’ was my way of reconciling the past\, trying to live into the present\, and have a sense of optimism for the future. Sonically this collection of songs draws from a lot of our main influences (The Sundays\, Wilco\, The Cure\, Brandon Flowers\, Oasis\, Nick Drake\, etc.) in a way that felt authentic to us.\n\n\n\n\nNolen Durham to open.\n\nSocial Share\n Share on Add Us (Opens in new window)\n Add Us\n \n Share on Instagram (Opens in new window)\n Instagram\n \n Share on X (Opens in new window)\n X\n \n Share on Bluesky (Opens in new window)\n Bluesky\n \n Share on Facebook (Opens in new window)\n Facebook\n More\n Print (Opens in new window)\n Print\n \n Share on Reddit (Opens in new window)\n Reddit\n \n Email a link to a friend (Opens in new window)\n Email\n \n Share on Pinterest (Opens in new window)\n Pinterest\n \n Share on Tumblr (Opens in new window)\n Tumblr\n \n Share on Threads (Opens in new window)\n Threads\n \n Share on WhatsApp (Opens in new window)\n WhatsApp\n \n Share on LinkedIn (Opens in new window)\n LinkedIn\n \n Share on Mastodon (Opens in new window)\n Mastodon\n \n Share on Telegram (Opens in new window)\n Telegram\n \n Share on Nextdoor (Opens in new window)\n Nextdoor\n Like this:Like Loading…

SUMMARY:Mpls: Faouzia at Fine Line (Aug 1\, 2026)
DESCRIPTION:Faouzia at Fine Line (Aug 1\, 2026)\n\n\nAugust 1\, 2026 Saturday \n Faouzia\nat Fine Line\nfirst-avenue.com\n\nInternationally renowned vocalist\, songwriter\, and classically trained multi-instrumentalist Faouzia is headlining the Fine Line\, on August 1\, 2026.\n\n\n Faouzia \n\n\nWe saw Faouzia in Oct 2022 and wrote\, “Faouzia came on stage to a room full of screaming teenagers. Faouzia looked pleased at the sold out show\, and said that it’s an honor to have Minneapolis as her first American show. You see\, Minneapolis was her very first road trip with her family. She visited the Mall of America\, so she has a soft spot for the state. Most of Faouzia’s set featured songs from Citizens\, which fans helping to sing along to the singles\, like “RIP\, Love” and “Thick and Thin.” Faouzia first became famous at the age of 15\, winning various awards. Her first single\, “Knock on My Door” came out in 2015\, and recently\, she released her deeply personal single\, “Habibi (My Love)”. It’s simply a love song\, as Faouzia said\, “to remind those closest to me how priceless and valuable their love is. I used the word ‘Habibi’ (which means ‘my love’) since it’s an Arabic term I use (as well as anyone who speaks the language) and it is very authentic and real to me.””\n\n\nThe ticket limit is strict. Any attempt to exceed the posted ticket limit per customer or household\, or to game the system in any way\, will result in cancellation of orders without notice. DESCRIPTION:The Irish Fair of Minnesota today announces the 2026 entertainment lineup alongside its new look and name as the Twin Cities Irish Fest. SUMMARY:Jax: Saidan at The Albatross (Aug 7\, 2026)
DESCRIPTION:Japanese horror-inspired USBM outfit SAIDAN will be releasing its highly anticipated fourth LP\, ‘FANGDRILLER: Scars Beneath Memory’s Wrist\,’ on June 19 via Avantgarde Music! The band is now unveiling the cinematic new single\, “Ethereal Blood\,” along with a music video\, which can be found at THIS LOCATION. \nA prequel to 2023’s ‘Visual Kill\,’ ‘FANGDRILLER’ follows The Student (Junko) as she tries to heal her fractured heart. Haunted by wistful solitude\, her isolation makes her the perfect victim for a mysterious cult known as Ethereal Blood. \nSAIDAN vocalist and multi-instrumentalist Splatterpvnk comments\, “‘Ethereal Blood’ is an essential part of the conceptual identity of ‘Fangdriller.’ Whereas many of the other songs on the album use metaphorical imagery to explain where I was emotionally at the time\, ‘Ethereal Blood’ is a perverse initiation into something seemingly pure\, yet shrouded in violent isolation.” \nWhile lyrically dealing with topics of depression\, heartbreak\, loss\, and loneliness\, the album is musically inspired by the lo-fi nature of classic Visual Kei and gothic black metal. Saidan strives to deliver an album that sounds nostalgic for an era of music that doesn’t exist. Blistering solos\, deranged vocals\, anthemic-riffage\, and diabolical drumming are slammed together with doses of modern breakcore and wrapped in a black metal bow\, garnering a feeling of familiarity while offering something that’s boldly unique. \nMoreover\, SAIDAN will be embarking on a U.S. tour in support of prolific atmospheric black metal band Trhä along with Barbelith. The trek will kick off on July 23 in Indianapolis\, IN and will lay waste through the East Coast and parts of the midwest until the final stop on August 8 in Charlotte\, NC. The full itinerary can be found below while tickets can be found HERE.\nGET TICKETS HERE \nSAIDAN U.S. Tour Dates (Supporting Trhä w/ Barbelith): \n07/23: Indianapolis\, IN @ State Street Pub \n07/24: Detroit\, MI @ Sanctuary \n07/25: Milwaukee\, WI @Club Garabaldi \n07/26: Minneapolis\, MN @ Zhora Darling \n07/27: Des Moines\, IA @ Locals \n07/28: Kansas City\, MO @ Mini Bar \n07/29: Tulsa\, OK @ Whittier Bar \n07/30: Denton\, TX @ Dan’s SilverLeaf \n07/31: Austin\, TX @ The Lost Well \n08/01: San Antonio\, TX @ Paper Tiger \n08/02: Houston\, TX @ Black Magic Social Club \n08/03: New Orleans\, LA @ Siberia \n08/04: Pensacola\, FL @ The Handlebar \n08/05: Tampa\, FL @ Deviant Libation \n08/06: Miami\, FL @ Churchill’s Pub \n08/07: Jacksonville\, FL @ The Albatross \n08/08: Charlotte\, NC @ The Milestone \nSocial Share\n Share on Add Us (Opens in new window)\n Add Us\n \n Share on Instagram (Opens in new window)\n Instagram\n \n Share on X (Opens in new window)\n X\n \n Share on Bluesky (Opens in new window)\n Bluesky\n \n Share on Facebook (Opens in new window)\n Facebook\n More\n Print (Opens in new window)\n Print\n \n Share on Reddit (Opens in new window)\n Reddit\n \n Email a link to a friend (Opens in new window)\n Email\n \n Share on Pinterest (Opens in new window)\n Pinterest\n \n Share on Tumblr (Opens in new window)\n Tumblr\n \n Share on Threads (Opens in new window)\n Threads\n \n Share on WhatsApp (Opens in new window)\n WhatsApp\n \n Share on LinkedIn (Opens in new window)\n LinkedIn\n \n Share on Mastodon (Opens in new window)\n Mastodon\n \n Share on Telegram (Opens in new window)\n Telegram\n \n Share on Nextdoor (Opens in new window)\n Nextdoor\n Like this:Like Loading…

SUMMARY:Mpls: Empire of the Sun at Mystic Lake Amphitheater (Aug 14\, 2026)
DESCRIPTION:Empire of the Sun returns to North America with the band’s largest tour to date and a reimagined live show following their sold-out Ask That God 2025 world tour. The last we saw of the Emperor he was finding his own redemption — now fans are invited to step into the next chapter with Ask That God: Afterlife 2026. \nThis tour presents the live show as the final installment of the Ask That God journey\, where the story continues and new frontiers unfold. Expanding on the universe introduced in their latest album\, the reimagined show is a celebration of imagination\, transformation\, and connection in a rapidly changing world. \nPromoted by Live Nation\, the 30+ headlining tour will start on August 11 at Colorado’s Red Rocks Amphitheatre and include two New York shows (August 29 at Forest Hills Stadium and August 30 at Northwell at Jones Beach Theater) and an evening at the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles (October 8). The tour will finish in Las Vegas on October 9 at PH Live at Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino. Polo & Pan and breakout electro-funk band Midnight Generation will support on all headline dates. See below for itinerary. The tour kicks off with festival performances at Osheaga in Montreal\, Up in the Sky in Aspen and Outside Lands in San Francisco. \nTo participate in the Empire of the Sun Artist Presale on Tuesday\, March 17\, at 10am local time\, you must sign up at https://livemu.sc/empireofthesun by Sunday\, March 15\, at 11:59pm PT. Artist Presales for this tour are hosted by multiple ticketing sites but anyone who signs up can join the sale. For Artist Presales on Ticketmaster\, no code is needed – access is tied to your account. Artist Presales hosted on other sites may require a code for access. Additional presales will run throughout the week ahead of the general on sale on Friday\, March 20\, at 10am local time at https://empireofthesun.co/?tour=tour. \nLeading up to today’s announcement was a cryptic teaser of Luke Steele with “AFTERLIFE 26” written across his chest\, delivering a message that hinted at what was to come: “Take this new music and tour to new frontiers…” \nASK THAT GOD TOUR: AFTERLIFE\nNOSTALGIA IS THE DRUG OF THE FUTURE \n“It feels like a very pivotal time\,” says Luke Steele. “We have a new song to sing\, we have to step into a new doorway — a new chapter. The world is changing. It feels like a revolution in the world and we have to unite. Love is the power weapon.” \nFor Empire of the Sun\, Afterlife represents that doorway. At the center of the experience stands the Emperor\, moving through the shifting landscape and guiding the journey forward. The live show becomes a place where sound\, imagination and human connection come together — a reminder that even in a changing world\, unity and creativity remain powerful forces. \nAfterlife invites fans to step into that moment together — a celebration of imagination\, connection and the power of music to unite. \n“Ask That God: Afterlife feels like a tour of unknowns and possibilities — new visions\, new plateaus\, fragile breakthroughs. I think things are going to happen on this tour that have never happened before. \nWe can’t wait to take this music and this tour to new frontiers. Let’s break barriers together.” – Luke Steele \nAsk That God Tour: Afterlife takes its name from 2024’s Ask That God\, which debuted at No. 4 on Billboard’s Top Dance Albums chart – Empire of the Sun’s fourth studio album to rank in the tally’s top 10. SPIN said\, “Ask That God’s production is tight and its message optimistic\, with the aim of universal connectivity.” Clash hailed it as “a journey in every sense providing enough density and style changes to keep listeners intrigued to the very end.” Observed office Magazine\, “With themes of surrender and the search for divine guidance\, Ask That God emerges as a response to uncomfortable times\, a call to look beyond worldly answers and instead ask the divine.” \nEmpire of the Sun’s 2025 global tour spanned over 22 countries\, more than nine festivals and a collective audience of over 220\,000\, with 110\,000 tickets sold in the U.S. and over 40\,000 tickets sold in Mexico. Naming their set as one of the top performances at ACL Fest 2025\, the Austin American-Statesman said\, “Empire of the Sun turned ACL into a neon daydream – equal parts mystic ritual and Tumblr-era revival…” Westword praised the group as “one of the most distinctive acts in modern electronic music” in this photo recap of their sold-out Red Rocks performance. Noted tmrw\, “An Empire of the Sun concert isn’t just a concert; it’s a sonic and visual spectacle that feels like stepping into another world.” \nEMPIRE OF THE SUN FESTIVAL PERFORMANCES\n8/1 – Montreal\, QC – Osheaga\n8/7 – Aspen\, CO – Up in the Sky\n8/7 – 8/9 – San Francisco\, CA – Outside Lands \nEMPIRE OF THE SUN – ASK THAT GOD TOUR: AFTERLIFE\nPolo & Pan and Midnight Generation will support on all headline dates\n8/11 – Morrison\, CO – Red Rocks Amphitheatre\n8/14 – Shakopee\, MN – Mystic Lake Amphitheater\n8/16 – Kansas City\, MO – Morton Amphitheater\n8/18 – Milwaukee\, WI – BMO Pavilion\n8/20 – Sterling Heights\, MI – Michigan Lottery Amphitheatre\n8/21 – Cuyahoga Falls\, OH – Blossom Music Center\n8/23 – Cincinnati\, OH – Riverbend Music Center\n8/25 – Toronto\, ON – RBC Amphitheatre\n8/28 – Mansfield\, MA – Xfinity Center\n8/29 – Queens\, NY – Forest Hills Stadium\n8/30 – Wantagh\, NY – Northwell at Jones Beach Theater\n9/2 – Holmdel\, NJ – PNC Bank Arts Center\n9/4 – Columbia\, MD – Merriweather Post Pavilion\n9/5 – Philadelphia\, PA – TD Pavilion at Highmark Mann\n9/6 – Raleigh\, NC – Coastal Credit Union Music Park at Walnut Creek\n9/9 – Charlotte\, NC – Truliant Amphitheater\n9/10 – Richmond\, VA – Allianz Amphitheater at Riverfront\n9/12 – Birmingham\, AL – Coca-Cola Amphitheater\n9/13 – Alpharetta\, GA – Ameris Bank Amphitheatre\n9/16 – Miami\, FL – FPL Solar Amphitheater\n9/17 – Tampa\, FL – MIDFLORIDA Credit Union Amphitheatre\n9/20 – Dallas\, TX – Dos Equis Pavilion\n9/21 – Austin\, TX – Moody Center\n9/24 – Houston\, TX – The Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion Sponsored by Huntsman\n9/26 – Rogers\, AR – Walmart AMP\n9/29 – Phoenix\, AZ – Talking Stick Resort Amphitheatre\n10/1 – Salt Lake City\, UT – Utah First Credit Union Amphitheatre\n10/3 – Bend\, OR – Hayden Homes Amphitheater\n10/7 – San Diego\, CA – Gallagher Square at Petco Park\n10/8 – Los Angeles\, CA – Hollywood Bowl\n10/9 – Las Vegas\, NV – PH Live at Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino \nSocial Share\n Share on Add Us (Opens in new window)\n Add Us\n \n Share on Instagram (Opens in new window)\n Instagram\n \n Share on X (Opens in new window)\n X\n \n Share on Bluesky (Opens in new window)\n Bluesky\n \n Share on Facebook (Opens in new window)\n Facebook\n More\n Print (Opens in new window)\n Print\n \n Share on Reddit (Opens in new window)\n Reddit\n \n Email a link to a friend (Opens in new window)\n Email\n \n Share on Pinterest (Opens in new window)\n Pinterest\n \n Share on Tumblr (Opens in new window)\n Tumblr\n \n Share on Threads (Opens in new window)\n Threads\n \n Share on WhatsApp (Opens in new window)\n WhatsApp\n \n Share on LinkedIn (Opens in new window)\n LinkedIn\n \n Share on Mastodon (Opens in new window)\n Mastodon\n \n Share on Telegram (Opens in new window)\n Telegram\n \n Share on Nextdoor (Opens in new window)\n Nextdoor\n Like this:Like Loading…

Despite getting the FIFA’s made-up “Peace Prize” to pleased Donald Trump\, it is not going well for the World Cup this Summer. There is an ongoing boycott on the World Cup from people around the globe who feels that “the US is not safe to visit.”\n\n\nAll eyes are on Bad Bunny at the upcoming NFL’s Super Bowl LX on February 8th. SUMMARY:POW! When UK Punk Went Pop\, 1980-84 (Aug 18\, 2026)
DESCRIPTION:POW! When UK Punk Went Pop\, 1980-84\nA memoir by Tony Fletcher \nOut August 18th \nBefore authoring eleven books\, including best-selling biographies of Who drummer Keith Moon\, R.E.M. and the Smiths\, Tony Fletcher was a teenaged music magazine publisher (Jamming!) in his native England. But\, with a degree of industry that sounds absolutely exhausting\, he also ran a record label\, interviewed rock stars\, led a band\, promoted concerts\, worked as an on-air TV interviewer — and still found time for romance. \nFletcher chronicled the early days of his life and career in Boy About Town (2013)\, but he went on to have many more extraordinary experiences\, which are detailed in this colorful and engaging memoir\, where the story gets really interesting. \n1980–’84 was an explosive time in British rock\, as the disruptive energy of bands like the Clash and Sex Pistols gave way to more sophisticated and chart-friendly genres and bands. Fletcher was on the front lines\, attending all the important concerts and meeting the top acts\, many of whom became MTV regulars: Madness\, Dexy’s Midnight Runners\, Wham!\, the Human League\, Echo and the Bunnymen\, Killing Joke Adam and the Ants. Then there’s the time he interviewed Paul McCartney… \nThis is a coming of age story\, the tale of a naïve young man in a cultural whirlwind who learns some hard lessons about business\, journalism\, love and sex – all the while trying to get his own band a record deal. \npaperback $22.95 ISBN 979-8-9990487-7-6\neBook $8.95 ISBN 979-8-9938678-0-9 \nSocial Share\n Share on Add Us (Opens in new window)\n Add Us\n \n Share on Instagram (Opens in new window)\n Instagram\n \n Share on X (Opens in new window)\n X\n \n Share on Bluesky (Opens in new window)\n Bluesky\n \n Share on Facebook (Opens in new window)\n Facebook\n More\n Print (Opens in new window)\n Print\n \n Share on Reddit (Opens in new window)\n Reddit\n \n Email a link to a friend (Opens in new window)\n Email\n \n Share on Pinterest (Opens in new window)\n Pinterest\n \n Share on Tumblr (Opens in new window)\n Tumblr\n \n Share on Threads (Opens in new window)\n Threads\n \n Share on WhatsApp (Opens in new window)\n WhatsApp\n \n Share on LinkedIn (Opens in new window)\n LinkedIn\n \n Share on Mastodon (Opens in new window)\n Mastodon\n \n Share on Telegram (Opens in new window)\n Telegram\n \n Share on Nextdoor (Opens in new window)\n Nextdoor\n Like this:Like Loading…
