SUMMARY:Mpls: Five for Fighting & Edwin McCain at Jackpot Junction Casino Hotel (June 20\, 2026)
DESCRIPTION:From “Superman” to “I’ll Be”… this is a concert you don’t want to miss 💙\n🎤 Five for Fighting & Edwin McCain are bringing the songs you grew up with to the Dacotah Exposition Center on Saturday\, June 20! It’s a night of memories\, sing-alongs\, and timeless hits you still know every word to.\n🎟 Tickets go on sale Friday\, February 13 at 10am\n📍 ticketmaster.com or the Casino Gift Shop\n🔞 18+ show\nOne night. Two iconic artists. All the feels. \nhttps://jackpotjunction.com/calendar \nGrammy® nominated\, platinum-selling artist\, Five For Fighting (John Ondrasik) and multi-platinum singer-songwriter Edwin McCain will team up for a summer co-headline tour bringing two of the most enduring catalogs to theaters and amphitheaters across the U.S. this June. Says Ondrasik\, “So looking forward to sharing the stage with Ed and his fantastic band while bringing fans back to the future!” Each night will feature Five For Fighting and McCain alternating closing sets. Tickets are on sale now HERE. Dates are listed below with more dates to be announced soon. \nOndrasik will bring along his band\, drummer Randy Cooke (Mick Jagger\, Ringo Starr\, Dave Stewart)\, bassist Sean Hurley (John Mayer\, Ringo Starr\, Alanis Morissette)\, and guitarist Peter Thorn (Chris Cornell\, Melissa Etheridge\, Don Henley)\, to play the songs his fans have loved for over two decades along with his recent viral hits. \nTo date\, Five For Fighting\, has released six studio albums\, including the platinum certified America Town and The Battle for Everything; and the top 10 charting Two Lights\, along with an EP and live albums. Ondrasik has penned major hits\, including the chart-topping “100 Years\,” “The Riddle\,” “Chances\,” “World\,” and “Easy Tonight\,” which have earned tens of millions of streams and place him as a top 10 Hot Adult Contemporary artist for the 2000s. The reflective “100 Years” has joined “Superman (It’s Not Easy)” as part of the American Songbook and continues to stand the test of time at weddings\, birthdays\, graduations\, memorials\, and many a home video. Five For Fighting’s music has also been featured in more than 350 films\, television shows\, and commercials\, including the Oscar-winning The Blind Side\, Hawaii Five-O\, The Sopranos and the CBS drama\, Code Black. \nOndrasik’s passion for supporting humanitarian efforts and freedom has been a longstanding commitment for the artist as well. Recently\, he’s been writing songs about key events around the world from a humanistic perspective including “OK (We Are Not Ok)” in response to the October 7th Hamas attacks in Israel\, while addressing the cultural aftermath both in America and around the world. On April 13 Ondrasik performed in Tel Aviv hours before Iran’s missile attack on Israel. Now\, “Superman (It’s Not Easy)\,” takes on new meaning as a tribute to Alon Ohel\, a 24-year-old hostage released by Hamas. \nOndrasik performed alongside Alon’s brother Ronen\, his mother Idit Ohel\, and a community of friends who gathered in Hostage Square\, Tel Aviv. Ondrasik’s revised lyrics turn pain into resilience. Watch the video HERE. \nOndrasik also wrote “Can One Man Save The World?” which was inspired by the courage of President Vladimir Zelenskyy and the people of Ukraine. He performed the song in Ukraine with the Ukrainian Orchestra amongst the ruins of the Antonov Airport in front of the Ukrainians’ beloved Mriya\, the world’s largest cargo plane that Russia destroyed at the outset of the war. \nAnd as a longtime supporter of music education\, Ondrasik teamed up with Let Music Fill My World again in 2025\, a privately funded non-profit launched by Tullman Family Office. The Music Matters Challenge is a nationwide competition aimed at rekindling the transformative power of music education in schools across the country. The winners were given the chance to make a lasting impact through the power of music and compete for prizes. \nAbout Edwin McCain: \nA major-label breakout in the mid-’90s with Honor Among Thieves\, Edwin McCain became a Top 40 mainstay and soundtrack favorite thanks to enduring smash hits like “I’ll Be” and “I Could Not Ask for More\,” earning a reputation as one of pop’s great romantics while sustaining a three-decade career. Last year\, the veteran singer-songwriter-guitarist released his 11th studio album\, Lucky—his first collection of new material since 2011—an expansive set that reflects his blues\, soul\, rock\, and folk roots while embracing fresh creative ambition. Adding to a banner year\, McCain was unmasked as “Nessy” on The Masked Singer\, making it all the way to the final six before losing by the closest margin in the show’s history\, less than 1%. \nFive For Fighting + Edwin McCain Tour Dates: \nJune 4 in Paducah\, KY at The Carson Center* \nJune 5 in Memphis\, TN at Graceland Soundstage At Elvis Presley’s Memphis \nJune 6 in Bowling Green\, KY at Southern Kentucky Performing Arts Center* \nJune 7 in Lexington\, KY at Lexington Opera House \nJune 9 in Nashville\, IN at Brown County Music Center \nJune 12 in Sault Ste. SUMMARY:Mpls: Kim Gordon at First Avenue (Jun 24\, 2026)
DESCRIPTION:Kim Gordon releases her highly anticipated third solo album PLAY ME via Matador Records. PLAY ME processes\, in Gordon’s inimitable way\, the collateral damage of the billionaire class: the demolition of democracy\, technocratic end-times fascism\, the A.I.-fueled chill-vibes flattening of culture – where dark humor voices the absurdity of modern life. But despite its frequent outward gaze\, PLAY ME is an interior record\, one in which a heightened emotionality pulses through physical jams\, rejecting definitive statements in favor of an inquisitiveness that keeps Gordon searching\, ever in process. Listen here. \nEarlier this week\, she shared the title-track to the album along with a video directed by Barney Clay. The release follows singles “DIRTY TECH\,” a track that explores the power struggle between humans and robots\, a theme visually complemented by the Moni Haworth-directed video\, which features Gordon in an abandoned corporate office. The album’s lead track “NOT TODAY” was accompanied by a short film directed by Rodarte fashion label founders and filmmakers Kate and Laura Mulleavy with director of photography Christopher Blauvelt. Mulleavy and Blauvett spoke with Harper’s Bazaar about the video\, read the conversation here. \nGordon has announced a string of North American spring and summer tour dates\, including a show in Los Angeles at Sid The Cat on April 2\, and additional shows in Chicago\, Denver\, Minneapolis\, San Francisco\, Vancouver\, and more. The full rundown of dates can be found below\, with newly announced dates in bold. This list includes previously announced UK and European headline and festival dates this Spring. DESCRIPTION:First Coast Comic-Con (July 11\, 2026)\n\nFirst Coast Comic-Con\nDate: July 11\, 2026\nWebsite: www.firstcoastcomiccon.com\nIt looks like I just missed First Coast Comic-Con\, which just took placed earlier in July with guests such as Amanda Conner\, Jimmy Palmiotti\, Greg Land\, Mike Spicer\, Pat Broderick\, Alex Saviuk\, Jeff Whiting\, Joe Doyle\, Dominic Pirozzi\, Chris Hrdlicka\, and John Crowther. What I am reading and what I like what I’m seeing is that they’ve kept the entry cost low ($10)\, and focused on comic book writers and artists.\nThe entry fee is going up next year\, but it’s because they are moving to a larger venue. Details below.\nWe can’t keep it a secret any longer\, comic fans! First Coast Comic-Con returns July 11\, 2026 — and we’re leveling up. \nWe’re moving to a larger venue\, bringing in more vendors\, and adding on-site food options to enhance your experience. This is just the beginning\, exciting announcements will be rolling out over the next year\, so stay tuned! \nThank you all for the incredible support. Let’s make 2026 our biggest year yet! \n\nIf it works out\, I’ll report back in July at the new venue.\n \nSocial Share\n Share on Add Us (Opens in new window)\n Add Us\n \n Share on Instagram (Opens in new window)\n Instagram\n \n Share on X (Opens in new window)\n X\n \n Share on Bluesky (Opens in new window)\n Bluesky\n \n Share on Facebook (Opens in new window)\n Facebook\n More\n Print (Opens in new window)\n Print\n \n Share on Reddit (Opens in new window)\n Reddit\n \n Email a link to a friend (Opens in new window)\n Email\n \n Share on Pinterest (Opens in new window)\n Pinterest\n \n Share on Tumblr (Opens in new window)\n Tumblr\n \n Share on Threads (Opens in new window)\n Threads\n \n Share on WhatsApp (Opens in new window)\n WhatsApp\n \n Share on LinkedIn (Opens in new window)\n LinkedIn\n \n Share on Mastodon (Opens in new window)\n Mastodon\n \n Share on Telegram (Opens in new window)\n Telegram\n \n Share on Nextdoor (Opens in new window)\n Nextdoor\n Like this:Like Loading...

SUMMARY:Mpls: Meghan Trainor at Grand Casino Arena (Jul 13\, 2026)
DESCRIPTION:Global superstar Meghan Trainor has announced her seventh full-length album\, Toy With Me\, out April 24 via Epic Records. She has also unveiled The Get In Girl Tour\, produced by Live Nation\, which will begin in June 2026. Today\, Meghan is giving fans a taste of the record with upbeat new personal anthem “Still Don’t Care.” \nIn this new era\, Meghan expertly dances between vulnerability and empowerment\, encouraging fans to embrace themselves despite any challenges they may be facing. All the while\, Meghan delivers undeniably infectious pop production and witty songwriting with more precision than ever. \nOn the new music\, Meghan shares\, “‘Still Don’t Care’ really sets the tone for this whole Toy With Me era — it’s bold\, fun\, a little cheeky\, and full of confidence. This song came from a place of growth for me; I’m learning to care less about perfection and more about what actually makes me happy. I’m learning to shake off negativity\, choosing joy\, and living life my way — because at this point in my life and career\, I’m ready to be done worrying about pleasing everyone. ‘Still Don’t Care’ is my reminder to myself — and to anyone who’s ever felt judged. Toy With Me feels like the most honest and fearless I’ve ever been — it’s all about self-confidence\, freedom\, and learning how to meet people where they are at. I wanted to kick off this new chapter with a song that makes people feel unstoppable\, and I can’t wait to bring that same energy to everyone on The Get In Girl Tour next summer.” \nThe new album follows 2024’s Timeless\, which was Meghan’s most confident and ambitious record yet. Timeless was accompanied by Meghan’s first headline tour in eight years and the biggest of her career — a 26-show run that included sold out stops at Madison Square Garden and the Kia Forum. Shortly after the tour wrapped Meghan was also honored with the Hitmaker Award at the Billboard Women in Music Awards\, celebrating 10 years of hits since the release of her debut album Title and chart-topping smash “All About That Bass.” \nNext summer\, Meghan heads back on the road for The Get In Girl Tour\, which sees her return to over 30 arenas and amphitheatres across North America\, featuring support from Icona Pop. A portion of the proceeds will be donated to The Trevor Project. The Trevor Project is a non profit organization with a charitable mission to end suicide among lesbian\, gay\, bisexual\, transgender\, queer\, and questioning (LGBTQ+) young people\, offering suicide prevention and crisis intervention services for LGBTQ+ youth through their free\, 24/7 hotline and serving as a leading voice in education\, advocacy\, and research relating to LGBTQ+ youth and mental health. For more info and to get involved please visit this website. \nMeghan has also partnered with HeadCount for The Get In Girl Tour to encourage voter registration and participation. HeadCount is a nonpartisan\, nonprofit organization dedicated to promoting participation in democracy through the power of music\, culture\, and community. By collaborating with artists\, festivals\, and brands\, HeadCount helps register voters and inform them about upcoming elections\, empowering individuals to make their voices heard. Since 2004\, they’ve signed up over 1.7 million voters through their work with touring musicians like Sabrina Carpenter\, Dead & Company\, Tate McRae\, John Legend and Ravyn Lenae\, and events like Camp Flog Gnaw\, Bonnaroo\, Outside Lands\, Pride Festivals and RuPaul’s DragCon. \nAMEX PRESALE: American Express is providing Card Members access to Amex Presale Tickets® for select shows in North America\, available for purchase HERE starting Tuesday\, November 18 at 10 a.m. before the general public on sale\, while supplies last. SUMMARY:Mpls: Minnesota Yacht Club | St. Paul\, MN | July 17-19\, 2026
DESCRIPTION:Minnesota Yacht Club at Harriet Island (July 17-19\, 2026)\n\n\nMinnesota Yacht ClubJuly 17-19\, 2026at Harriet Islandminnesotayachtclubfestival.com\n\nMinnesota’s biggest music festival\, Minnesota Yacht Club returns this July 17-19\, 2026\, and\, again\, it’s bigger than ever! Very excited to see The Strokes reformed and playing at the biggest festival in the Twin Cities! Do yourself a favor and buy your tickets early\, it will sell out and you’ll regret it later.\n\n\n Green Day at Minnesota Yacht Club\, Harriet Island (July 20\, 2025) \n\n\nWe covered the Yacht Club in 2024 and 2025 and wrote\, “The final day of the Minnesota Yacht Club Festival\, at Harriet Island\, in St Paul\, was looking to be nearly perfect weather and was certainly the heaviest attended crowd of the festival early in the day… Green Day’s set started a little later\, due to a delay from 311’s set\, when a fan passed out and forced the band to play passed their allotted set time. Then after a long\, long\, long intro (three intros!) including a full playback of Queen’s Bohemian Rhapsody\, then Drunk Bunny shows up to ramp up excitement with The Ramones’ Blitzkrieg Bop. And finally the band walk on music featuring a medley of The Imperial March\, Blitzkrieg Bop\, We Will Rock You and I Love Rock ‘n’ Roll\, the band launched into fan favorite American Idiot with some choice lyrics change (like I’m not a part of a MAGA agenda). We suspect the reasons for the long intro is to make up the time the band has to fill\, over an hour and 30 minutes (and many of their songs are quick 2-3 minute songs). Green Day was recently in Minneapolis last August\, 2024 (alongside Smashing Pumpkins and Rancid)\, but their fanbase still showed up in force to see their favorite band close out the Minnesota Yacht Club. It’s clear that their music spans over generations\, from fans in the 90s to teenagers\, just discovering their music.”\n\n\n2026 Artist Lineup\n \n\n\n\nFriday\, July 17 \n\nThe Lumineers\nThe Black Keys\nMt Joy\nThe Fray\nDashboard Confessional\nShakey Graves\nMarcy Playground\nNight Moves\nPrize Horse\nPat Kennedy\n\n\nSaturday\, July 18 \n\nMatchbox Twenty\nLord Huron\nGeese\nThe All-American Rejects\nLucy Dacus\nMatt & Kim\nJensen McRae\nDevon Gilfillian\nYam Haus\nPorch Light\n\n\nSunday\, July 19 \n\nThe Strokes\nCage the Elephant\nAtmosphere\nPassion Pit\nSemisonic\nDope Lemon\nDie Spitz\nCouch\nHeart to Gold\nCommon People\n\n\n\n\n  \n \nMinnesota Yacht Club at Harriet Island (July 17-19\, 2026)\n\n\nWe recently had to upgrade W♥M due to running low on storage. As part of the upgrade\, we can now host video files width “unlimited bandwidth”. This post is to just test out the video option. I do not plan on hosting videos on this website\, this is just strictly a test to see how well it performs\, etc.\n\nHere is a very brief video of Bugsy asking the audience to say ‘Yippee’\, from their appearance at the Minnesota Yacht Club in July 2024. What an unforgettable music festival. And just a reminder that the third annual Minnesota Yacht Club will take place on July 17-19\, 2026 at Harriet Island.\n\n\n Matt & Kim \n\n\nThere are many bands on the 2026 lineup (see below)\, but one name would really benefit from a large audience – and that is the profanity and musical party powerhouse Matt & Kim. They are such a fun duo to see live\, they really feed off the energy of the crowd and I think they will have a blast at this show. We saw them in Aug 2015 and said\, “They [Matt & Kim] were described as “dance party”\, and it wasn’t until I saw them in person in Minneapolis in 2012 that I absolutely believed it. Of all the shows I saw in 2012\, that one stood out as easily one of my highlight. We’ve seen them again at Rock the Garden in 2014\, and a couple of things you should know about this party band: 1. Kim does this walking on people bit\, 2. They go from zero to one hundred percent\, 3. They have potty mouths (esp Kim)\, 4. Plenty of confetti\, and 5. Just have a good time. Don’t over analyze their songs or question their singing abilities\, you’re missing the point if you do. I had a lot of fun\, and I think the audience did too. Some new gimmick they did tried for this show was getting everyone to blow up balloons and then tossing them up in the air. They also brought out a parachute and had people holding it up (wasn’t quite sure this one worked as well as they intended).”\n \n\n2026 Artist Lineup\n \n\n\n\nFriday\, July 17 \n\nThe Lumineers\nThe Black Keys\nMt Joy\nThe Fray\nDashboard Confessional\nShakey Graves\nMarcy Playground\nNight Moves\nPrize Horse\nPat Kennedy\n\n\nSaturday\, July 18 \n\nMatchbox Twenty\nLord Huron\nGeese\nThe All-American Rejects\nLucy Dacus\nMatt & Kim\nJensen McRae\nDevon Gilfillian\nYam Haus\nPorch Light\n\n\nSunday\, July 19 \n\nThe Strokes\nCage the Elephant\nAtmosphere\nPassion Pit\nSemisonic\nDope Lemon\nDie Spitz\nCouch\nHeart to Gold\nCommon People\n\n\n\n\n  \nhttps://wheartm.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/03/C0003.mp4 \n  \n\nRead more Site Update.\n  \nvu ♥ wheartm.com ♥ twitter.com ♥ instagram.com\nSocial Share\n Share on Add Us (Opens in new window)\n Add Us\n \n Share on Instagram (Opens in new window)\n Instagram\n \n Share on X (Opens in new window)\n X\n \n Share on Bluesky (Opens in new window)\n Bluesky\n \n Share on Facebook (Opens in new window)\n Facebook\n More\n Print (Opens in new window)\n Print\n \n Share on Reddit (Opens in new window)\n Reddit\n \n Email a link to a friend (Opens in new window)\n Email\n \n Share on Pinterest (Opens in new window)\n Pinterest\n \n Share on Tumblr (Opens in new window)\n Tumblr\n \n Share on Threads (Opens in new window)\n Threads\n \n Share on WhatsApp (Opens in new window)\n WhatsApp\n \n Share on LinkedIn (Opens in new window)\n LinkedIn\n \n Share on Mastodon (Opens in new window)\n Mastodon\n \n Share on Telegram (Opens in new window)\n Telegram\n \n Share on Nextdoor (Opens in new window)\n Nextdoor\n Like this:Like Loading...

SUMMARY:Mpls: Empire of the Sun at Mystic Lake Amphitheater (Aug 14\, 2026)
DESCRIPTION:Empire of the Sun returns to North America with the band’s largest tour to date and a reimagined live show following their sold-out Ask That God 2025 world tour. The last we saw of the Emperor he was finding his own redemption — now fans are invited to step into the next chapter with Ask That God: Afterlife 2026. \nThis tour presents the live show as the final installment of the Ask That God journey\, where the story continues and new frontiers unfold. Expanding on the universe introduced in their latest album\, the reimagined show is a celebration of imagination\, transformation\, and connection in a rapidly changing world. \nPromoted by Live Nation\, the 30+ headlining tour will start on August 11 at Colorado’s Red Rocks Amphitheatre and include two New York shows (August 29 at Forest Hills Stadium and August 30 at Northwell at Jones Beach Theater) and an evening at the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles (October 8). The tour will finish in Las Vegas on October 9 at PH Live at Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino. Polo & Pan and breakout electro-funk band Midnight Generation will support on all headline dates. See below for itinerary. The tour kicks off with festival performances at Osheaga in Montreal\, Up in the Sky in Aspen and Outside Lands in San Francisco. \nTo participate in the Empire of the Sun Artist Presale on Tuesday\, March 17\, at 10am local time\, you must sign up at https://livemu.sc/empireofthesun by Sunday\, March 15\, at 11:59pm PT. Artist Presales for this tour are hosted by multiple ticketing sites but anyone who signs up can join the sale. For Artist Presales on Ticketmaster\, no code is needed – access is tied to your account. Artist Presales hosted on other sites may require a code for access. Additional presales will run throughout the week ahead of the general on sale on Friday\, March 20\, at 10am local time at https://empireofthesun.co/?tour=tour. \nLeading up to today’s announcement was a cryptic teaser of Luke Steele with “AFTERLIFE 26” written across his chest\, delivering a message that hinted at what was to come: “Take this new music and tour to new frontiers…” \nASK THAT GOD TOUR: AFTERLIFE\nNOSTALGIA IS THE DRUG OF THE FUTURE \n“It feels like a very pivotal time\,” says Luke Steele. “We have a new song to sing\, we have to step into a new doorway — a new chapter. The world is changing. It feels like a revolution in the world and we have to unite. Love is the power weapon.” \nFor Empire of the Sun\, Afterlife represents that doorway. At the center of the experience stands the Emperor\, moving through the shifting landscape and guiding the journey forward. The live show becomes a place where sound\, imagination and human connection come together — a reminder that even in a changing world\, unity and creativity remain powerful forces. \nAfterlife invites fans to step into that moment together — a celebration of imagination\, connection and the power of music to unite. \n“Ask That God: Afterlife feels like a tour of unknowns and possibilities — new visions\, new plateaus\, fragile breakthroughs. I think things are going to happen on this tour that have never happened before. \nWe can’t wait to take this music and this tour to new frontiers. Let’s break barriers together.” – Luke Steele \nAsk That God Tour: Afterlife takes its name from 2024’s Ask That God\, which debuted at No. 4 on Billboard’s Top Dance Albums chart – Empire of the Sun’s fourth studio album to rank in the tally’s top 10.
