It was indeed their first public appearance with sheet music at the ready and songs still to be fine tuned before going into the studio to record their first album. The new dates include a performace at this summer’s Newport Jazz Festival and several shows in October supporting Black Violin. Tickets are on sale now and all dates can be found at: http://www.braxtoncook.com. \nNot Everyone Can Go is a visionary statement on conflict\, resolution\, and renewed love. It was conceived in a moment of transition and reflects the tensions after a year of balancing a busy touring schedule with family life. The album’s arc stretches from uncertainty to gratitude\, as Braxton doubles down on his family\, letting go of what no longer serves him. The album has drawn high praise from NPR to Essence\, Downbeat to Jazziz\, Vibe and countless others. \nAs his most collaborative effort yet\, Braxton draws from all parts of Black American music\, expanding the definition of what jazz can be. Notable features include Elijah Fox\, Nate Smith\, Joshua Crumbly\, Marie Dahlstrom\, NAVVY\, and more. Standout singles like “Zodiac\,” “My Everything\,” and “We’ve Come So Far” debuted on his NPR Tiny Desk Concert performance earlier this year. As NPR producer Ashley Pointer stated\, Braxton Cook is ready to take “center stage” with his most dynamic release to date. \nOne can hear Cook breaking through on Not Everyone Can Go\, a mix of jazz and R&B that feels indebted to similar hybrids of yesteryear. Musically\, the album conjures images of bright evening sunshine\, when the temperature begins to cool. Not quite Quiet Storm\, instead\, Not Everyone Can Go dabbles between the margins\, which won’t surprise those who’ve followed Cook to this point. Across albums like Somewhere In Between\, No Doubt\, and Who Are You When No One Is Watching?\, he’s made a career of blurring the lines between genres\, landing on a sound that isn’t one thing\, in particular. While that’s made his music tough to pin down\, that also makes it all the more intriguing. That you can’t label it just R&B or just jazz lends to the music’s attraction. \nLyrically\, Not Everyone Can Go follows the trek of conflict\, from where a romantic relationship faces challenges to when the couple makes it to the other side. The album soundtracks that journey without placing blame on one person or the other. Instead\, Cook assesses his own role in the disconnect\, as if doing the necessary self-work to show up fully for his significant other. The album’s second half incorporates love songs about the rediscovery of affection\, taking sonic cues from late-‘90s R&B\, with its slow\, body-rolling pace and lush electric keys. “The last part of the album is the action for me\,” Cook said. “It’s the act of rebuilding these relationships the way that I want and the way that I see them\, and that’s what those love songs are about. ‘Bad’ is very much about taking my wife back out on a date. As if we were just courting each other all over again.” \nUltimately\, Not Everyone Can Go is about embracing change\, that when seasons arrive where moves are inevitable\, you have to lean into them. “This particular record is a reminder to myself and others to take stock in what it is you have and be grateful for the breath in your lungs.” \nBRAXTON COOK 2026 TOUR DATES\n7/30/26 Portsmouth\, NH Jimmy’s Jazz & Blues Club\n7/31/26 Newport\, RI Newport Jazz Festival\n8/10/26 Appleton\, WI Jazz Coterie – Gibson Music Hall\n8/11/26 Stevens Point\, WI Jazz Coterie – Stevens Point Country Club\n8/12/26 Minneapolis\, MN Dakota\n8/13/26 Omaha\, NE Midtown Crossing – Jazz on the Green\n8/14/26 Evanston\, IL Space\n8/16/26 Ann Arbor\, MI Blue Llama Jazz Club\n8/16/26 Ann Arbor\, MI Blue Llama Jazz Club\n9/17/26 Honolulu\, HI Blue Note Hawaii\n9/17/26 Honolulu\, HI Blue Note Hawaii\n10/1/26 Providence\, RI Uptown Theater*\n10/2/26 Washington D.C. SUMMARY:Mpls: Castle Rat at Varsity Theater (Oct 14\, 2026)
DESCRIPTION:Castle Rat at Varsity Theater (Oct 14\, 2026)\n\n\nOctober 11\, 2026 Sunday\n Castle Rat\nwith Unto Others\, Wraith Knightat Varsity Theater\nlivenation.com\n\nOne of the hottest bands touring this realm is Castle Rat. They are stopping by the Varsity Theater\, in Minneapolis\, on October 14\, 2026.\n\n\n Castle Rat at the Ship\, Kansas City (September 12\, 2025) \n\n\nWe drove to the Ship\, Kansas City\, on September 12\, 2025 to witness fantasy doom metal: “Headlining was Castle Rat\, delivering a powerful blend of Doom Metal\, fantasy storytelling\, and… sword fighting! Did I mention they’re theatrical? On lead vocals and rhythm guitar is the Rat Queen and all-around renaissance woman herself\, Riley Pinkerton\, backed by a band of fantasy characters: The Count (Franco Vittore\, lead guitar/backing vocals)\, The Plague Doctor (Charley Ruddel\, bass)\, The Druid (Josh Strmic\, drums)\, and the Rat Reapress—not a musician\, but a performer and antagonist to our heroic musicians (Rebecca Corrigan). Nostalgic clean vocals\, Sabbath worthy bass lines\, all the riffs you could want\, gripping guitar solos\, and a maniac of a drummer that I still won’t stop talking about… that’s a recipe for success on its own. Now add in a story line woven through the albums and into the stage show and a call to action for the crowd to assist the band in saving The Realm… the crowd went insane for this band. Castle Rat is out supporting their new album The Bestiary\, a much-anticipated follow-up to their debut Into the Realm (2024). They’re causing quite a stir\, and I highly recommend seeing them in smaller venues while you still can. This show confirmed that it may have been our last chance before they’re playing much larger rooms. If you’re lucky enough to be near a show that hasn’t sold out\, grab a ticket now… and order that new album as well.”\n\nUnto Others and Wraith Knight to open.\n\n\nTour Dates\n\n\n Sep 23 – Baltimore\, MD – Baltimore Soundstage Sep 25 – Charlotte\, NC – Neighborhood Theatre Sep 26 – Atlanta\, GA – The Masquerade Sep 28 – Dallas\, TX – The Studio at The Bomb Factory Sep 30 – Mesa\, AZ – The Nile Theater Oct 1 – Los Angeles\, CA – The Belasco Oct 3 – Berkeley\, CA – The UC Theatre Oct 6 – Portland\, OR – Roseland Theater Oct 7 – Seattle\, WA – The Showbox Market Oct 9 – Spokane\, WA – Knitting Factory Oct 10 – Boise\, ID – Shrine Social Club Oct 11 – Salt Lake City\, UT – The Grand Oct 12 – Denver\, CO – The Ogden Theatre Oct 14 – Minneapolis\, MN – Varsity Theater Oct 15 – Chicago\, IL – Concord Music Hall Oct 16 – Detroit\, MI – The Majestic Theatre Oct 17 – Toronto\, ON – The Opera House Oct 19 – Montreal\, QC – Théâtre Beanfield Oct 20 – Worcester\, MA – The Palladium Oct 21 – New York\, NY – Webster Hall\n\n \nSocial Share\n Share on Add Us (Opens in new window)\n Add Us\n \n Share on Instagram (Opens in new window)\n Instagram\n \n Share on X (Opens in new window)\n X\n \n Share on Bluesky (Opens in new window)\n Bluesky\n \n Share on Facebook (Opens in new window)\n Facebook\n More\n Print (Opens in new window)\n Print\n \n Share on Reddit (Opens in new window)\n Reddit\n \n Email a link to a friend (Opens in new window)\n Email\n \n Share on Pinterest (Opens in new window)\n Pinterest\n \n Share on Tumblr (Opens in new window)\n Tumblr\n \n Share on Threads (Opens in new window)\n Threads\n \n Share on WhatsApp (Opens in new window)\n WhatsApp\n \n Share on LinkedIn (Opens in new window)\n LinkedIn\n \n Share on Mastodon (Opens in new window)\n Mastodon\n \n Share on Telegram (Opens in new window)\n Telegram\n \n Share on Nextdoor (Opens in new window)\n Nextdoor\n Like this:Like Loading…

SUMMARY:Jax: Toadies at FIVE (Oct 14\, 2026)
DESCRIPTION:Toadies: The Charmer Tour with Local H and Emily Wolfe \n Wednesday\, October 14\, 2026\n 8:00 PM 11:00 PM \n FIVE 1028 Park Street Jacksonville\, FL\, 32204 United States (map) \nToadies announce the first ever vinyl release of their second album Hell Below/Stars Above\, originally released in 2001. It’s the only studio album from their catalogue that has never been pressed on vinyl. With constant asks from fans asking for it the band is incredibly pleased to finally have it to offer. Guitarist Clark Vogeler says: “We worked steadily\, writing/jamming/arranging/rehearsing for literally years to create the songs that would comprise this\, our second album. Judged against its predecessor\, Rubberneck\, it was doomed to be seen as a commercial failure but several fan favorites reside on its tracklist. Tom (Rothrock) and Rob’s (Schnapf) recording and Andy Wallace’s mix give the sound a raw power and bite.” \nVogeler also talks about his first recording sessions with the band “This album especially means a lot to me because it was the first Toadies album I played on. In its time\, it felt overlooked at best\, and dead on arrival at worst\, so it’s been really interesting to see over time what some of these songs have come to mean to people.” \nDrummer Mark Reznicek talks about Hell Below/Stars Above being released on vinyl “I’m always surprised just how many fans rate this as our best album. And it’s the only one of our albums that hasn’t yet appeared on vinyl\, so it’s become a sort of holy grail for a lot of them.” He also talks about his favorite track “The title track has always stood out to me as a departure in style for us. The fast\, almost punk rock feel of the first half which segues into the dreamy\, near gospel feel of the second half was unusual\, and not something we’d ever attempted before. And the guest appearance by Elliott Smith on piano and the heavenly vocals by Rev. White makes it really special.” Vogeler concurs “I love the title track\, and not only because one of my faves\, the late great Elliott Smith played piano on it but because it pushes up against the idea of what makes a Toadies song. We tried to work freely and without boundaries\, and I think that expression is strong on this album.” \nToadies also announce a new limited release coffee collaboration. The Charmer brings together Palace Coffee and The Toadies\, two Texas originals connected through Toadies’ bassist Donivan Blair\, who once worked at Palace and remains part of its community. Anchored by a washed community lot from Huila\, Colombia and complemented by a naturally processed coffee from Sidama\, Ethiopia\, it delivers bright cherry notes\, balanced apple-like acidity\, and a soft caramel finish. Blair says ” I’m so thrilled that we get the opportunity to partner with my friends\, and favorite place for go-go juice\, Palace Coffee. I’ve known them for years and have always been impressed with their dedication to craft and that commitment shines through with our new collaboration\, The Charmer.” \nIn that same spirit of community and care\, proceeds from The Charmer coffee sales will be donated to Letters Charity\, a cause deeply valued by Steve Albini and his wife\, Heather. Letters Charity is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that provides direct\, unconditional assistance to families experiencing poverty\, bringing art and community together to turn compassion into action \nPatrick Burns Founder and CEO Palace Coffee talks about working with the band “I can still remember riding to lunch in my friend’s truck in high school when he put on Possum Kingdom for the first time. The songwriting\, the mood\, the whole record stuck with me. Years later\, Donivan Blair walked into Palace because he loved coffee\, spent some time working with us\, and became a friend. For the last several years we’ve talked about creating a coffee together\, and it’s exciting to finally see it happen. The Charmer Blend is a limited release celebrating the new album\, and I think that’s what makes it special. It’s not meant to be around forever. It captures a moment in time for both Palace and The Toadies.” \nBefore their sold-out show at Seattle’s Showbox\, Toadies stopped by KEXP bright and early to record their first-ever KEXP session with John Richards. \nToadies are in the midst of an extensive North American tour and kick off the third leg on September 18 that will run through October. The trek includes a stop at this weekend’s Shadow of the City at The Stone Pony\, alongside Bleachers and Real Estate\, followed by festival appearances at Louder Than Life\, Aftershock and The State Fair of Texas. Support on select headlining dates comes from Local H\, Olive Vox\, and Emily Wolfe. \nLive Dates\nAugust\nAug 28 Asbury Park\, NJ – Shadow of the City Fest with Bleachers (Rescheduled Show)\nSeptember\nSept 18 Columbia\, MO – The Blue Note =\nSept 19 Indianapolis\, IN – Hi-Fi Annex ^=\nSept 20 Louisville\, KY – Louder Than Life\nSept 21 St. Louis\, MO – The Pageant ^=\nSept 23 Kansas City\, MO – The Truman ^=\nSept 24 Tulsa\, OK – Cain’s Ballroom ^=\nSept 25 Amarillo\, TX – The Lumberyard^=\nSept 26 Santa Fe\, NM – The Bridge^=\nSept 29 Flagstaff\, AZ – Orpheum Theater^=\nOctober\nOct 02 Las Vegas\, NV – Brooklyn Bowl^=\nOct 03 Ventura\, CA – Ventura Theatre^=\nOct 04 Sacramento\, CA – Aftershock\nOct 05 – Menlo Park\, CA – The Guild Theater\nOct 06 Pioneertown\, CA – Pappy & Harriet’s^\nOct 08 Tucson\, AZ – Rialto Theatre^#\nOct 09 El Paso\, TX – Lowbrow Palace^#\nOct 10 – Dallas\, TX – State Fair Of Texas\nOct 14 Jacksonville\, FL – Five^#\nOct 15 Fort Lauderdale\, FL – Revolution Live^#\nOct 16 Orlando\, FL – House of Blues^#\nOct 17 St. Petersburg\, FL – Jannus Live^# \nWith\n^ Local H\n=Olive Vox\n#Emily Wolfe \nSocial Share\n Share on Add Us (Opens in new window)\n Add Us\n \n Share on Instagram (Opens in new window)\n Instagram\n \n Share on X (Opens in new window)\n X\n \n Share on Bluesky (Opens in new window)\n Bluesky\n \n Share on Facebook (Opens in new window)\n Facebook\n More\n Print (Opens in new window)\n Print\n \n Share on Reddit (Opens in new window)\n Reddit\n \n Email a link to a friend (Opens in new window)\n Email\n \n Share on Pinterest (Opens in new window)\n Pinterest\n \n Share on Tumblr (Opens in new window)\n Tumblr\n \n Share on Threads (Opens in new window)\n Threads\n \n Share on WhatsApp (Opens in new window)\n WhatsApp\n \n Share on LinkedIn (Opens in new window)\n LinkedIn\n \n Share on Mastodon (Opens in new window)\n Mastodon\n \n Share on Telegram (Opens in new window)\n Telegram\n \n Share on Nextdoor (Opens in new window)\n Nextdoor\n Like this:Like Loading…

SUMMARY:Mpls: Friko at Fine Line (Oct 15\, 2026)
DESCRIPTION:Friko at Fine Line (Oct 15\, 2026)\n \n\nOctober 15\, 2026 Thursday\n Friko\nat Fine Line\nfirst-avenue.com\n\nChicago based band Friko returns to Minnesota\, playing the Fine Line (and upgraded venue from 7th Street Entry)\, on October 15\, 2026.\n\n\n$1 from every ticket sold will go to Santa for a Day\, a certified 501 (c) (3) Public Charity who answers letters to Santa from kids in underserved communities. This two-pronged literacy component is vital to their mission: Volunteers helping\, teaching youngsters the power of the pen… and then donors rewarding their efforts\, by translating their wishes into reality\, This process helps children feel seen\, heard\, and valued—often for the first time—while fostering family dignity and empowerment that extends well beyond the holidays as participants author a different\, more positive narrative about life\, one sparked by optimism and the vision of a brighter future. Founded in 2018\, SFAD has fulfilled more than 50\,000 letters and delivered nearly 100\,000 gifts to children across eight U.S. cities.\n\n \n\n Friko at Fine Line (May 22\, 2025) \n\n\nWe saw Friko in May 2025 and wrote\, “After an intermission that played great music like “Get Innocuous!” by LCD Soundsystem and “Barley” from Water From Your Eyes\, Friko took the stage to The Talking Heads “Once in a Lifetime.” From there was a spine-tingling beginning in which lead singer\, Niko Kapetan\, tried to fit the whole evening into “Guess”. From there\, the band dialed it up even more to where it looked like they were almost assaulting their instruments during “Chemical”. We last saw Friko opening up for Royel Otis at First Ave in Sep\, 2024. We mentioned that they are known for their high-energy live shows\, and I was getting a front row view\, but there were moments when they took a step back and played the sweetest of songs like “For Ella” and “Cardinal”. In a Paste profile on their debut album Where We’ve Been\, Where We Go from Here\, the band noted not only being inspired by the Chicago indie rock scene\, but also influenced by the classical romantic era\, specifically the music of Frederic Chopin. As drummer Bailey Minzenberger stated: “With Chopin’s Nocturnes specifically\, I can’t wrap my head around how something can be so beautiful. There are some bits of it that are so complicated but still really accessible.””\nTour Dates\n\n Sep. 16 – Salt Lake City\, UT @ Kilby CourtSep. 18 – Phoenix\, AZ @ Valley BarSep. 19 – San Diego\, CA @ CasbahSep. 20 – Los Angeles\, CA @ Sid The Cat AuditoriumSep. 21 – San Francisco\, CA @ Rickshaw StopSep. 24 – Portland\, OR @ Polaris HallSep. 25 – Seattle\, WA @ Baba YagaSep. 26 – Vancouver\, BC @ Fox CabaretSep. 30 – Morrison\, CA @ Red RocksOct. 15 – Minneapolis\, MN @ Fine Line (venue upgrade)Oct. 16 – Milwaukee\, WI @ VivariumOct. 17 – Detroit\, MI @ The Loving TouchOct. 19 – Toronto\, ON @ The Great HallOct. 20 – Montreal\, QC @ Bar Le RitzOct. 22 – Boston\, MA @ The SinclairOct. 23 – New York\, NY @ Music Hall Of WilliamsburgOct. 24 – Philadelphia\, PA @ The FoundryOct. 26 – Washington\, DC @ AtlantisOct. 27 – Durham\, NC @ Motorco Music HallOct. 28 – Atlanta\, GA @ Terminal WestOct. 30 – Nashville\, TN @ The Blue RoomOct. 31 – Columbus\, OH @ A&R Music Bar Nov. 20 – Mexico City\, MX @ Corona Capital FestivalDec. 19 – Chicago\, IL @ Salt Shed (w/ Ratboys)\n\n \nSocial Share\n Share on Add Us (Opens in new window)\n Add Us\n \n Share on Instagram (Opens in new window)\n Instagram\n \n Share on X (Opens in new window)\n X\n \n Share on Bluesky (Opens in new window)\n Bluesky\n \n Share on Facebook (Opens in new window)\n Facebook\n More\n Print (Opens in new window)\n Print\n \n Share on Reddit (Opens in new window)\n Reddit\n \n Email a link to a friend (Opens in new window)\n Email\n \n Share on Pinterest (Opens in new window)\n Pinterest\n \n Share on Tumblr (Opens in new window)\n Tumblr\n \n Share on Threads (Opens in new window)\n Threads\n \n Share on WhatsApp (Opens in new window)\n WhatsApp\n \n Share on LinkedIn (Opens in new window)\n LinkedIn\n \n Share on Mastodon (Opens in new window)\n Mastodon\n \n Share on Telegram (Opens in new window)\n Telegram\n \n Share on Nextdoor (Opens in new window)\n Nextdoor\n Like this:Like Loading…

SUMMARY:Jax: Smashing Pumpkins at VyStar Veterans Memorial Arena (Oct 17\, 2026)
DESCRIPTION:The iconic\, GRAMMY® Award-winning rock band The Smashing Pumpkins have announced The Rats In A Cage Tour\, one of their most ambitious live shows yet. Kicking off in September and running through November 2026\, The Rats In A Cage Tour will feature the band playing two distinct sets: one celebrating the seminal 1995 RIAA Diamond certified Mellon Collie And The Infinite Sadness’ recent 30th anniversary\, and one a career-spanning journey through nearly four decades’ worth of beloved hits\, deep cuts\, and fan-favorites alike. \nTickets will be available starting with Citi and Verizon presales beginning on Tuesday\, May 19 at 10 am local. Additional presales will run throughout the week ahead of the general on-sale beginning on Thursday\, May 21 at 10 am local on smashingpumpkins.com. Fans will also have access to an exclusive presale through the band’s official fan club\, VIZ CLUB\, beginning on Wednesday\, May 20 at 9am local until Wednesday\, May 20 at 10pm local time. Join VIZ CLUB here. \nTo celebrate The Rats In A Cage Tour\, The Smashing Pumpkins will offer one of a kind VIP ticket packages that will include a special pre-show acoustic performance and Q&A with the band\, VIP lounge access\, memorabilia\, exclusive VIP merchandise\, and priority merchandise shopping. Pre-sale will begin on Tuesday\, May 19 at 10 am local. \nCiti is the official card of The Rats in A Cage Tour. Citi cardmembers will have access to presale tickets beginning Tuesday\, May 19 at 10 am local until Wednesday\, May 20 at 10pm local time through the Citi Entertainment program. For complete presale details visit http://www.citientertainment.com. \nVerizon will offer customers an exclusive presale for the Smashing Pumpkins in the U.S – no strings attached\, simply for being a Verizon customer. The presale for select shows runs from Tuesday\, May 19 at 10 am local to Wednesday\, May 20 at 10pm local time\, Visit myAccess in the My Verizon app for more details. Learn more about Verizon Access here. \n“Staging a Mellon Collie-themed show is something we’ve discussed for over a decade\, and finally the stars have aligned and exactly on the terms I’d set: which was to build a special night around its most enduring aspirations and ideas\,” Billy Corgan said. “With set 1 of the Rats In A Cage tour exclusively featuring Mellon Collie songs in a highly theatrical setting\, and set 2 drawing from the rest of our canon so that there’s a decent amount of variance as to what songs we’ll play from night to night: from our first in ‘Gish’ to our last in ‘Aghori Mhori Mei’.” \nLast night\, after dropping hints for several days\, the band hosted a Requiem For ZERO at the Hollywood Legion Theater in Los Angeles. The intimate hall allowed 300 guests to witness the funeral for ZERO\, the avatar Billy Corgan first inhabited 30 years ago on Mellon Collie. \nBefore the tour kicks off\, The Smashing Pumpkins will headline their hometown’s famed Lollapalooza on July 31st for the first time in over 30 years\, marking their long-awaited return to the festival since its touring iteration in 1994. Then\, in September\, the Rats In A Cage tour opens in Columbus. OH\, before visiting multiple major markets throughout America and Canada. With the Pumpkins’ shows forever known for delivering raw performances on an epic emotional scale\, theRats In A Cage tour and its journey through the decades promises to showcase the kaleidoscopic range the band has wielded from Gish all the way to their most recent album release\, Aghori Mhori Mei. \nThe Rats In A Cage Tour follows a multi-faceted 2025 anniversary blowout for Mellon Collie\, including a deluxe vinyl reissue featuring previously unheard live recordings from the world tour supporting the album\, a special reimagining of Mellon Collie’s iconic hits and beloved fan-favorites onstage with the Lyric Opera Of Chicago\, and culinary collaborations with Vosges Haut-Chocolat and Erewhon. Released the same year as Machina/The Machines Of God’s 25th anniversary reissue\, the Mellon Collie celebration continued what has been a furiously productive decade for The Smashing Pumpkins\, with a flood of inspiration producing 2020’s Cyr\, 2022/2023’s triple-album Atum: A Rock Opera In Three Parts\, and 2024’s Aghori Mhori Mei. \nAlongside all of his Pumpkins activity\, the ever-prolific Corgan has remained busy in other ventures as well. Entering its second year\, his widely praised podcast The Magnificent Others has recently featured candid conversations about creativity and legacy with Courtney Love\, Billy Idol\, Nancy Wilson\, and Yungblud. Corgan also made his Coachella debut\, joining Sombr onstage for a surprise performance. Most recently\, in his capacity as president of the National Wrestling Alliance\, Corgan led the hallowed athletic institution to a landmark deal with Comet TV\, bringing NWA back to free broadcast TV nationwide for the first time since the early ‘90s. The new chapter of NWA dawned on May 1st\, marking the latest moment in a standout year for Corgan and the Pumpkins. \nFULL TOUR ROUTING \nWed\, Sep 30 — Columbus\, OH — Schottenstein Center \nFri\, Oct 2 — Boston\, MA — TD Garden \nSat\, Oct 3 — Baltimore\, MD — CFG Bank Arena \nSun\, Oct 4 — Brooklyn\, NY — Barclays Center \nTue\, Oct 6 — Pittsburgh\, PA — PPG Paints Arena \nWed\, Oct 7 — Hamilton\, ON — TD Coliseum \nFri\, Oct 9 — Montreal\, QC — Bell Centre \nSun\, Oct 11 — Madison\, WI — Kohl Center \nTue\, Oct 13 — St. Paul\, MN — Grand Casino Arena \nWed\, Oct 14 — Chicago\, IL — United Center \nFri\, Oct 16 — Charlotte\, NC — Spectrum Center \nSat\, Oct 17 — Jacksonville\, FL — VyStar Veterans Memorial Arena \nSun\, Oct 18 — Tampa\, FL — Benchmark International Arena \nTue\, Oct 20 — Indianapolis\, IN — Gainbridge Fieldhouse \nWed\, Oct 22 — Nashville\, TN — The Truth \nSat\, Oct 24 — Oklahoma City\, OK — Paycom Center \nSun\, Oct 25 — Austin\, TX — Moody Center \nTue\, Oct 27 — Denver\, CO — Ball Arena \nThu\, Oct 29 — Salt Lake City\, UT — Delta Center \nFri\, Oct 30 — Las Vegas\, NV — MGM Grand Garden Arena \nSun\, Nov 1 — Portland\, OR — Moda Center \nTue\, Nov 3 — Calgary\, AB — Scotiabank Saddledome \nThu\, Nov 5 — Vancouver\, BC — Rogers Arena \nFri\, Nov 6 — Seattle\, WA — Climate Pledge Arena \nSun\, Nov 8 — San Jose\, CA — SAP Center \nWed\, Nov 11 — Phoenix\, AZ — Mortgage Matchup Center \nThu\, Nov 12 — Los Angeles\, CA — Kia Forum \nSocial Share\n Share on Add Us (Opens in new window)\n Add Us\n \n Share on Instagram (Opens in new window)\n Instagram\n \n Share on X (Opens in new window)\n X\n \n Share on Bluesky (Opens in new window)\n Bluesky\n \n Share on Facebook (Opens in new window)\n Facebook\n More\n Print (Opens in new window)\n Print\n \n Share on Reddit (Opens in new window)\n Reddit\n \n Email a link to a friend (Opens in new window)\n Email\n \n Share on Pinterest (Opens in new window)\n Pinterest\n \n Share on Tumblr (Opens in new window)\n Tumblr\n \n Share on Threads (Opens in new window)\n Threads\n \n Share on WhatsApp (Opens in new window)\n WhatsApp\n \n Share on LinkedIn (Opens in new window)\n LinkedIn\n \n Share on Mastodon (Opens in new window)\n Mastodon\n \n Share on Telegram (Opens in new window)\n Telegram\n \n Share on Nextdoor (Opens in new window)\n Nextdoor\n Like this:Like Loading…

SUMMARY:Jax: The Number Twelve Looks Like You at The Albatross (Oct 23\, 2026)
DESCRIPTION:THE NUMBER TWELVE LOOKS LIKE YOU\, KAONASHI\, DIFFERENCES\nAll Ages\nFriday\, October 23\, 2026\nDoors: | 6 pm // Show: | 6 pm\n$37.76\nThe Albatross\nTHE NUMBER TWELVE LOOKS LIKE YOU\n(MONGREL 20TH ANNIVERSARY TOUR)\nPlus guests:\nKAONASHI\nDIFFERENCES \nFriday October 23rd 2026\nThe Albatross\n113 E Bay St Downtown Jacksonville Fl\nDoors 6pm\nAll ages \nTHE NUMBER TWELVE LOOKS LIKE YOU\, KAONASHI\, DIFFERENCES \n \nLegendary independent New York-based rock label Equal Vision Records and The Number Twelve Looks Like You are excited to announce the Friday\, October 16 release of Howls From The Holographic Heart\, the New Jersey-bred progressive metalcore band’s brand new studio album. Produced by Jeremy Cormitas (Senses Fail\, Chiodos)\, Trae Titus\, and The Number Twelve Looks Like You’s Alexis Pareja\, Howls From The Holographic Heart finds the band once again throwing themselves into their art in a way that stays true to their enduring vision. “This is a very honest album\,” frontman Jesse Korman explains. “We don’t want to live up to what everyone just expects of us\, and at this point in our career\, we have nothing to lose.” \nWith the announcement of the album\, the band has also released the music video for its brutal new single “Joy Is A Weapon.” Featuring Foxy Shazam\, “Joy Is A Weapon” is about refusing to let anger\, bitterness\, or the people who hurt you define who you become. “Sometimes the most powerful act of rebellion isn’t fighting back\,” the band says\, “it’s finding joy any way possible and refusing to be broken.” Watch the music video for “Joy Is A Weapon” on YouTube HERE. \nThe Number Twelve Looks Like You also recently announced its upcoming fall Mongrel 20th anniversary tour. Kicking off on Friday\, September 25 in San Antonio\, TX\, the upcoming run will span the entire month of October\, feature special guests Kaonashi\, Blind Equation and Differences in select markets\, and culminate in a performance at Mahall’s in Lakewood\, OH on Friday\, October 30. Tickets for all shows are on sale now HERE\, and a full listing of dates can be found below. \nThe Number Twelve Looks Like You have never been a band that follows trends\, and they aren’t about to start now. Correspondingly\, for the band’s sixth full-length\, Howls From The Holographic Heart\, the New Jersey-bred act once again indulged their creative impulses to create an album that no other group of musicians could possibly create. “For this album\, we wanted to do what The Number Twelve Looks Like You does and write something that is just completely unexpected\,” explains vocalist Jesse Korman of the band’s follow-up to 2019’s Wild Gods. In order to accomplish this\, Korman and his bandmates—guitarist Alexis Pareja\, bassist Cody McCorry and drummer Michael DeMarco—leaned into both the technical and melodic wizardry that has established them as post-hardcore innovators for the past two decades without trying to consciously shape the outcome in any particular artistic direction. \nHowls From The Holographic Heart is a showcase of the diverse influences that contribute to the band’s overall sound. From the chaotic screamo of the album opener “Trust Chaos” to the salsa death metal vibe of “Joy Is A Weapon” (which features Foxy Shazam) and progressive pop of “Glow In The Dark Skin\, ” the album may not make sense on paper\, but works perfectly in its execution. “I always try to write lyrics that capture the moment\, so I continued that trend\,” Korman explains. In that spirit\, “Dancing Before The Flood” was about the vocalist’s response to the COVID pandemic while “Joy Is A Weapon” is an ode to anti-violence. “If you just look back at every single album we’ve made\, it’s just a timestamp of that time period\, so ‘Howls From The Holographic Heart’ is just an extension of that\,“ Korman says. “It’s a timestamp of the duration of seven years.” Whether the vocalist is stretching out vocally on songs like “Become A Ghost” or screaming with vitriol on “Trust Chaos\,” that sincere sentiment never wavers. \nFrom the cover image and music to the overall aesthetic\, Howls From The Holographic Heart is a cohesive collection of songs that isn’t necessarily meant to appeal to everyone. That sense of liberation lies at the core of this album and explains why it’s such a powerful artistic statement for the band. “At the end of the day\, we really choose our path\,” Pareja summarizes\, “and hopefully people enjoy it.” \nThe Number Twelve Looks Like You will be making the following appearances this fall on its Mongrel 20th anniversary tour. Dates below. \nAUGUST\n21 — Philadelphia\, PA — Never Home Festival at Underground Arts + \nSEPTEMBER\n25 — San Antonio\, TX — The Rock Box (Vibes Stage) *\n26 — Dallas\, TX — Three Links *\n28 — Mesa\, AZ — The Rosetta Room *\n29 — Las Vegas\, NV — Area15 *#\n30 — Los Angeles\, CA — The Echo *# \nOCTOBER\n01 — San Diego\, CA — SOMA Sidestage *#\n02 — Bakersfield\, CA — Temblor Brewing Company *#\n03 — Sacramento\, CA — Harlow’s *#\n05 — Portland\, OR — High Limit Room *#\n06 — Seattle\, WA — El Corazon *#\n09 — Denver\, CO — HQ *#\n11 — Birmingham\, AL — Furnace Fest +\n16 — Hamden\, CT — Space Ballroom ^\n18 — Brooklyn\, NY — TV Eye *^\n19 — Richmond\, VA — Richmond Music Hall *^\n20 — Greensboro\, NC — Hangar 1819 *^\n22 — Orlando\, FL — Conduit *^\n23 — Jacksonville\, FL — The Albatross *^\n24 — Atlanta\, GA — Vinyl at Center Stage *^\n25 — Nashville\, TN — The End *^\n27 — Columbus\, OH — Ace of Cups *^\n28 — Detroit\, MI — The Crypt *^\n29 — Buffalo\, NY — Rec Room ^\n30 — Lakewood\, OH — Mahall’s ^ \n* — w/ Kaonashi\n# — w/ Blind Equation\n^ — w/ Differences\n+ — festival appearance \nSocial Share\n Share on Add Us (Opens in new window)\n Add Us\n \n Share on Instagram (Opens in new window)\n Instagram\n \n Share on X (Opens in new window)\n X\n \n Share on Bluesky (Opens in new window)\n Bluesky\n \n Share on Facebook (Opens in new window)\n Facebook\n More\n Print (Opens in new window)\n Print\n \n Share on Reddit (Opens in new window)\n Reddit\n \n Email a link to a friend (Opens in new window)\n Email\n \n Share on Pinterest (Opens in new window)\n Pinterest\n \n Share on Tumblr (Opens in new window)\n Tumblr\n \n Share on Threads (Opens in new window)\n Threads\n \n Share on WhatsApp (Opens in new window)\n WhatsApp\n \n Share on LinkedIn (Opens in new window)\n LinkedIn\n \n Share on Mastodon (Opens in new window)\n Mastodon\n \n Share on Telegram (Opens in new window)\n Telegram\n \n Share on Nextdoor (Opens in new window)\n Nextdoor\n Like this:Like Loading…

SUMMARY:Mpls: DICE at 7th St Entry (Oct 24\, 2026)
DESCRIPTION:Saturday\nOct\n24\n2026\n7th St Entry\nDICE\nwith The Back Alley\nDoors Open\n7PM\nShow Starts\n8PM\nAges\n18+ \nDICE 10/24/26 \n \n \nCall Me For A Good Time by Dice (2026)\n\n\n Dice\n\n\nPerth’s DICE released the single\, “Call Me For A Good Time”\, taken from their forthcoming album I Thought The Altitude Would Make It Worth The View (due out July 31).\n\n\nDice explains the song title:\n\n\n\nA track of desire\, addiction and devotion. It’s got that late night feeling and was definitely written to serve its title. ‘Call Me for a Good Time’ is us stepping directly into the afterparty of our mid-20s. Having Jay Watson from POND jump on synths was incredible—he brought this amazing\, swirling nocturnal texture that completely dialled in that head-spinning\, hazy feeling when you’re caught between heaven or hell at 3 AM\, lost in the noise\, and just looking for a real connection to numb the surroundings.\n\n\n\n\n DICE \n\n\n We saw Dice in Oct 2025 and wrote\, “DICE had a heavier rock feel as they progressed through their set\, with some really pulsating guitar work. Like the opener\, Hodge said this was their first time in Minnesota\, and really\, their first extended tour in the United States. The band clearly recognized how great this was as they have hit the mid-point of the tour. Hourglass had King letting loose on his guitar throughout the latter half. This Is Not a Love Song\, off the debut album\, had a great bass lick from Beazley and Barrett-Lennard was flying on drums again. A loud round applause for the intro to Double Espresso also had multiple people with cameras out to record the moment. As the stage went dark\, the band had a moment to reset\, then came back to it with The Search\, with a long guitar and drum intro that picked up speed as it went. Stop Sign was the last song for the night and had the band ending on a high note and inviting the audience to join them at the merch table. A quick word with the band had them talking about how exciting and crazy it was to be on this headlining US tour. The note\, “I think we’re on state 11 of 26 that we’ll get to” showed their joy at being on the road and the members of DICE were off to talk with other audience members in the happy post-concert glow.”\n\n\nTour Dates\n\n\n\nWed 10/14/26 Washington\, D.C. – Union Stage\nThu 10/15/26 New York\, NY – Bowery Ballroom\nFri 10/16/26 Boston\, MA – Sonia Live\nSat 10/17/26 Fairfield\, CT – StageOne\nSun 10/18/26 Philadelphia\, PA – Johnny Brenda’s\nWed 10/21/26 Columbus\, OH – Rumba Café\nThu 10/22/26 Chicago\, IL – Schubas Tavern\nFri 10/23/26 Madison\, WI – High Noon Saloon\nSat 10/24/26 Minneapolis\, MN – 7th St Entry\nTue 10/27/26 Denver\, CO – Globe Hall\nFri 10/30/26 Portland\, OR – Show Bar\nSun 11/1/26 Seattle\, WA – Barboza\nTue 11/3/26 Sacramento\, CA – The Starlet Room @ Harlows\nWed 11/4/26 San Francisco\, CA – Cafe du Nord\nThu 11/5/26 Los Angeles\, CA – Venice West\nFri 11/6/26 San Diego\, CA – Casbah\nSat 11/7/26 Phoenix\, AZ – Last Exit Live\n\n\n\nSocial Share\n Share on Add Us (Opens in new window)\n Add Us\n \n Share on Instagram (Opens in new window)\n Instagram\n \n Share on X (Opens in new window)\n X\n \n Share on Bluesky (Opens in new window)\n Bluesky\n \n Share on Facebook (Opens in new window)\n Facebook\n More\n Print (Opens in new window)\n Print\n \n Share on Reddit (Opens in new window)\n Reddit\n \n Email a link to a friend (Opens in new window)\n Email\n \n Share on Pinterest (Opens in new window)\n Pinterest\n \n Share on Tumblr (Opens in new window)\n Tumblr\n \n Share on Threads (Opens in new window)\n Threads\n \n Share on WhatsApp (Opens in new window)\n WhatsApp\n \n Share on LinkedIn (Opens in new window)\n LinkedIn\n \n Share on Mastodon (Opens in new window)\n Mastodon\n \n Share on Telegram (Opens in new window)\n Telegram\n \n Share on Nextdoor (Opens in new window)\n Nextdoor\n Like this:Like Loading…
