SUMMARY:Mpls: Greg Mendez at 7th St Entry (Jun 17\, 2026)
DESCRIPTION:  \n \nGreg Mendez at 7th St Entry (Jun 17\, 2026)\n\n\nJune 17\, 2026 Wednesday\n Greg Mendez\nwith Scarlet Rae\nat 7th St Entry\nfirst-avenue.com\n\nGreg Mendez is returning to the 7th Street Entry\, in Minneapolis\, on June 17\, 2026\, in support of Beauty Land (due May 29th via Dead Oceans).\n\n\n Greg Mendez \n\n\nWe last saw Greg Mendez on his first Minneapolis appearance in May 2024 and said\, “Greg Mendez opened the evening by nonchalantly stepping on stage with the preshow music still in the main speakers. Quickly\, the music and the crowd quieted to listen to his quiet guitar and vocals. Menedez has been writing music since 2006. His fourth self-titled album released in 2023 has garnered praise with Pitchfork declaring it as one of the 10 New Albums You Should Listen to Now. “First time in Minneapolis\,” Mendez said to the crowd. “Like it better than Wisconsin.” He then elaborated that it may be due to the six-hour drive to the show. Being from Philadelphia\, he said he didn’t really comprehend the vastness of the middle of the country. After a few songs\, Mendez was joined on stage by V who played bass and keys while providing vocals to songs that were brief with poignant lyrics that often ran counter to the light and breezy sound coming from his guitar.”\n\n\nScarlet Rae to open.\n \n\nTour Dates\n\n06/10 – Washington\, DC – Songbyrd #\n06/11 – Richmond\, VA – Richmond Music Hall #\n06/12 – Asheville\, NC – Static Age #\n06/13 – Nashville\, TN – The Blue Room #\n06/15 – Bloomington\, IN – The Bishop #\n06/16 – Madison\, WI – High Noon Saloon #\n06/17 – Minneapolis\, MN – 7th St Entry #\n06/19 – Iowa City\, IA – Gabe’s Oasis #\n06/20 – Chicago\, IL – Lincoln Hall #\n06/21 – Detroit\, MI – Lager House #\n06/23 – Toronto\, ON – Sound Garage #\n06/24 – Northampton\, MA – Iron Horse Music Hall #\n06/25 – Portland\, ME – SPACE Gallery #\n06/26 – Boston\, MA – The Sinclair #\n06/27 – Hamden\, CT – Space Ballroom #\n06/30 – Brooklyn\, NY – Music Hall of Williamsburg #\n07/01 – Kingston\, NY – Tubby’s #\n07/10 – Philadelphia\, PA – First Unitarian Church #\n07/31 – Durham\, NC – Cat’s Cradle Back Room ^\n08/01 – Atlanta\, GA – Aisle 5 ^\n08/02 – New Orleans\, LA – Siberia ^\n08/04 – Austin\, TX – 29th Street Ballroom ^\n08/05 – Dallas\, TX – Club Dada ^\n08/08 – Phoenix\, AZ – Valley Bar ^\n08/09 – San Diego\, CA – Soda Bar ^\n08/10 – Los Angeles\, CA – Sid the Cat Auditorium ^\n08/12 – San Francisco\, CA – The Independent ^\n08/14 – Portland\, OR – Polaris ^\n08/15 – Seattle\, WA – Barboza ^\n08/16 – Vancouver\, BC – Biltmore Cabaret ^\n08/18 – Boise\, ID – Shrine Social Club ^\n08/19 – Salt Lake City\, UT – Kilby Court ^\n08/21 – Denver\, CO – Lost Lake ^\n08/22 – Kansas City\, MO – Record Bar ^\n08/23 – St Louis\, MO – Off Broadway ^\n08/24 – Newport\, KY – Southgate House Revival ^\n08/25 – Pittsburgh\, PA – Bottlerocket ^\n# with Scarlet Rae\n\n^ with Maria BC \n\n\nSocial Share\n Share on Add Us (Opens in new window)\n Add Us\n \n Share on Instagram (Opens in new window)\n Instagram\n \n Share on X (Opens in new window)\n X\n \n Share on Bluesky (Opens in new window)\n Bluesky\n \n Share on Facebook (Opens in new window)\n Facebook\n More\n Print (Opens in new window)\n Print\n \n Share on Reddit (Opens in new window)\n Reddit\n \n Email a link to a friend (Opens in new window)\n Email\n \n Share on Pinterest (Opens in new window)\n Pinterest\n \n Share on Tumblr (Opens in new window)\n Tumblr\n \n Share on Threads (Opens in new window)\n Threads\n \n Share on WhatsApp (Opens in new window)\n WhatsApp\n \n Share on LinkedIn (Opens in new window)\n LinkedIn\n \n Share on Mastodon (Opens in new window)\n Mastodon\n \n Share on Telegram (Opens in new window)\n Telegram\n \n Share on Nextdoor (Opens in new window)\n Nextdoor\n Like this:Like Loading…

SUMMARY:Jax: NIGHTS OF MALICE at Hard Love\, Jacksonville (June 17\, 2026)
DESCRIPTION:“Gore Nest” is the new single from New Jersey deathcore outfit NIGHTS OF MALICE. The band’s latest bruiser comes by way of their punishing Chaos Exordium full-length\, set to drop on June 4th through Bleeding Art Collective and Blood Blast Distribution (Nuclear Blast Records/Believe). \nComments vocalist Brendan McGrath\, “‘Gore Nest’ is super bouncy and fun. It still maintains the sonically heavy tone of the album\, but it brings a different kind of energy than the rest of the songs. That’s why the video was a party! It’s also the first time [guitarist] Josh [Kuhn] has written with us. Even before he became an official member\, we wanted him to have a solo on the record since we’d been jamming with him for a long time already. This is also the second song I’ve written about DOOM lore. The last one\, ‘Void Bearer’ (2021) was about the Icon Of Sin. ‘Gore Nest’ is about Hell’s invasion of Earth from an overall perspective. \nWith a sound that is synonymous with razor sharp technical death metal riffing\, monolithic groove\, and rapid-fire vocal phrasing\, as is signature with acts such as Psycroptic\, Whitechapel\, Aborted\, and Archspire\, NIGHTS OF MALICE is a triumphant example of the quality of acts that have emerged from the Garden State scene. \nSince the band’s inception\, the band has worked with the outstanding team of Carson Slovak and Grant McFarland at Atrium Audio\, who have produced albums from bands such as Black Crown Initiate\, August Burns Red\, Rivers Of Nihil\, The Ghost Inside\, and many more. NIGHTS OF MALICE has once again teamed up with Atrium Audio for Chaos Exordium. \n“The whole album started to really come together once we wrote [lead single] ‘Ex-Mortis\,” reflects McGrath on the creation of Chaos Exordium. “We felt like that was the song that fully encompassed the current era of our sound and from there\, it was easier to pick and choose which of our ideas were going to be on the album\, to sort of map out the pacing of it. Our goal was to make the heaviest\, most intense NIGHTS OF MALICE album ever. We’ve experimented with our sound in a lot of different ways\, but one thing we all agree on is that we are at our best when we’re riffing all over the place. Our writing process always starts with guitar\, so it comes naturally to us most of the time. \n“For the production\,” he continues\, “we knew we were going to go back to Atrium. We love working with Grant and Carson; we’ve been working with them for ten years now. They have always been an integral part of bringing our vision to life and they’ve given us our best sounding mix yet. It’s a very guitar-heavy mix since the riffs are the driving force behind this record.” \nChaos Exordium features album artwork created by Andriy Tkalenko and guest vocals by Bobby Yagodich of Verminoth on “Stitched” and Chaney Crabb of Entheos on “Riches To The Conjuror.” \nNIGHTS OF MALICE Chaos & Misery Tour w/ My Own Will: \n6/04/2026 Dingbatz – Clifton\, NJ \n6/05/2026 Capital City Music Hall – Harrisburg\, PA \n6/06/2026 Lurking Class Skate Shop – Salisbury\, MD \n6/09/2026 Growlers – Memphis\, TN \n6/10/2026 Cobra – Nashville\, TN \n6/11/2026 The Brickyard – Marietta\, GA \n6/12/2026 The Reverb Room – Warner Robins\, GA \n6/13/2026 My Sisters House – Orlando\, FL \n6/14/2026 Oscura – Bradenton\, FL \n6/16/2026 Propaganda – Lake Worth\, FL \n6/17/2026 Hard Love – Jacksonville\, FL \n6/18/2026 Handlebar – Pensacola\, FL \n6/19/2026 Ground Zero – Spartanburg\, SC \n6/20/2026 Riffhouse Pub – Chesapeake\, VA \nSocial Share\n Share on Add Us (Opens in new window)\n Add Us\n \n Share on Instagram (Opens in new window)\n Instagram\n \n Share on X (Opens in new window)\n X\n \n Share on Bluesky (Opens in new window)\n Bluesky\n \n Share on Facebook (Opens in new window)\n Facebook\n More\n Print (Opens in new window)\n Print\n \n Share on Reddit (Opens in new window)\n Reddit\n \n Email a link to a friend (Opens in new window)\n Email\n \n Share on Pinterest (Opens in new window)\n Pinterest\n \n Share on Tumblr (Opens in new window)\n Tumblr\n \n Share on Threads (Opens in new window)\n Threads\n \n Share on WhatsApp (Opens in new window)\n WhatsApp\n \n Share on LinkedIn (Opens in new window)\n LinkedIn\n \n Share on Mastodon (Opens in new window)\n Mastodon\n \n Share on Telegram (Opens in new window)\n Telegram\n \n Share on Nextdoor (Opens in new window)\n Nextdoor\n Like this:Like Loading…

SUMMARY:Mpls: The New Standards at Lowertown Series @ Mears Park (June 18\, 2026)

On this superb evening (weather in the low 70’s\, with a clear sky and a bit of breeze)\, the people turned out in droves for a great night of music with local favorites The New Standards highlighting the evening. With food trucks and drink tents busy\, a ton of puppies loving the smells\, and the ever growing crowd\, it was a perfect night for some outdoor live music. \n\n\nI caught the latter half of Black Market Brass\, who you could hear from over a block away as I approached. I’m not sure you could have had a much better fit of a band with the happy vibe of the outdoor crowd. With ten performers on stage\, this was a good\, snappy jazz\, with instrumental numbers that were longer\, but with good hooks and sections. That front line of brass (trumpet\, trombone\, and sax) were the rightful center of things musically\, but the rest of the crew in rhythm (guitar and bass) and percussion (drums and oh so much more) made great support\, allowing the free flowing music to shine. The build up on a number of those songs had all the right moments\, from the brass giving way for guitar or percussion\, but always chiming back in\, as a great brass solo would carry to the next section. The front line also did the hype up of the crowd\, getting the  audience clapping at various points. We even had a few brave souls dancing up near the stage\, and that perfect weather combined with the boisterous music kept spirits high. With good audio from the Lowertown Sounds crew\, the sound felt large and inviting and the band was soaring. A final marathon number was particularly funky and Black Market Brass had kicked off a perfect start. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nBlack Market Brass\n\n\n\nThe New Standards were up next and I was looking forward to a full set of their special brand of covers. Our last viewing of the band was in February 2026\, as they organized Our Neighbor: A Benefit with a huge number of guests at The Dakota. The trio (Chan Poling on vocals & piano\, John Munson on vocals and bass\, and Steve Roehm on vibraphone) have re-cast some of the great rock songs in a jazzier version\, and their 2015 album Decade is a great starting point to their sound. Hitting stage as a septet (the trio\, plus trumpet\, trumpet\, sax\, and drums) started with I Scare Myself\, and the late vibraphone solo combined with the brass was rock solid. A quick moment to get monitor sound levels correct had them launch into Queen’s Crazy Little Thing Called Love and Poling’s nearly spoken vocals were the front end to a mini-jam session. The switch of lead singer from Poling to Munson was a great contrast and Munson was well suited to Gnarls Barkley’s Crazy\, flying through the wide vocal scale and dynamics. Though Poling and Munson command a lot of attention\, Roehm’s tremendous work on vibraphone was a critical foundation and it’s impressive to watch everything going into that instrumental work. Video Killed the Radio Star was bubbly and was a top vibe song for the evening\, with both Poling and Munson singing and clearly enjoying themselves\, with some shouted “Merry Christmas” and just general goofiness.  \n\n\nWe got the first of what turned out to be a number of guest performers\, with a couple of back up singers (Cameron Kinghorn and Aby Wolf) for Michael Jackson’s The Way You Make Me Feel\, that had a great combo of piano and vibraphone. Wolf took lead vocals on the next song and wow\, she can sing\, and Cruel was pure soul in her hands. Just as you thought the energy couldn’t go higher\, Wolf was back to lead a passionate version of Tainted Love. The New Standards were throwing some shade at current politics\, with a deft version of Compared to What\, with that added brass section getting to shine. It was highly amusing to have Munson singing falsetto for Janet Jackson’s What Have You Done for Me Lately. A new guest\, The Suburbs’ drummer Hugo Klaers came on to sing Cars\, crashing a cymbal one-handed. And when Jeremy Messersmith appeared on stage for a version of With a Little Help from My Friends\, the crowd went absolutely bonkers. The sequencing by The New Standards was outstanding and they had created such momentum that the ride to the end was peak upon peak. A version of The Boxtops’ The Letter was probably most memorable for being at least twice as long as the original\, but then Wolf was back to lead a glorious rendition of I Will Survive\, with nearly all of the crowd on their feet and singing along. The main set was over with a blistering paced Life During Wartime\, but you knew what the encore would be and Love Is the Law was the cherry on top of what had been a truly fantastic evening in the park. \n\n\n\n\nChan Polong\n\n\n\n\nJohn Munson\n\n\n\n\nSteve Roehm\n\n\n\n\nAby Wolf\n\n\nThe New Standards\n\nSocial Share\n Share on Add Us (Opens in new window)\n Add Us\n \n Share on Instagram (Opens in new window)\n Instagram\n \n Share on X (Opens in new window)\n X\n \n Share on Bluesky (Opens in new window)\n Bluesky\n \n Share on Facebook (Opens in new window)\n Facebook\n More\n Print (Opens in new window)\n Print\n \n Share on Reddit (Opens in new window)\n Reddit\n \n Email a link to a friend (Opens in new window)\n Email\n \n Share on Pinterest (Opens in new window)\n Pinterest\n \n Share on Tumblr (Opens in new window)\n Tumblr\n \n Share on Threads (Opens in new window)\n Threads\n \n Share on WhatsApp (Opens in new window)\n WhatsApp\n \n Share on LinkedIn (Opens in new window)\n LinkedIn\n \n Share on Mastodon (Opens in new window)\n Mastodon\n \n Share on Telegram (Opens in new window)\n Telegram\n \n Share on Nextdoor (Opens in new window)\n Nextdoor\n Like this:Like Loading…

SUMMARY:Johnny Delaware at Treehouse Art Space (June 19\, 2026)
DESCRIPTION:Johnny Delaware (co-founder and former member of SUSTO) will release On God’s Time on July 24\, 2026 via Normaltown/New West Records. The 10-song set was produced by Delaware and recorded in his adopted hometowns of Mexico City and Charleston\, SC. The album follows 2024’s Para Llevar\, which Magnet Magazine said “evokes the Laurel Canyon aesthetic at its most vibey and approachable” and Glide Magazine hailed as “a swirl of indie rock\, Americana\, and psychedelic folk.” \nThe captivating On God’s Time isn’t so much a meditation on mortality as an embrace of our ephemerality. The collection looks to death as a means of putting life itself into focus\, as a lens through which to understand the meaning and purpose of our dwindling days on this planet. The songs here are firmly rooted in the spiritual realm of the cosmic drifter\, full of larger-than-life characters navigating their way through a world of tragic beauty and infinite wonder\, and the performances are loose and raw to match\, guided by instinct and tracked live and in the moment. It’s a moving snapshot\, a timeless exploration of love and loss and gratitude and regret rooted in the promise that our impermanence isn’t a curse\, but rather a gift. Delaware says\, “Life is wonderful and painful and a lot of times it’s not easy\, but it’s not supposed to be easy. We’re all on a mission to do what’s in our hearts before they stop beating. That’s the only journey that matters. \nToday\, Under the Radar premiered the video for the first single\, “Crystal Ball.” Delaware says\, “I was a door-to-door internet salesman in South Dakota during the Summer of 2024. While figuring things out\, the beginning stages consisted of a lot of doors being shut in my face. My whole timeline fell out of place. A musician selling the internet? It didn’t feel like I was a main character in what was supposed to be my story. Though a part of me loved the challenge\, I had to shift perspective and remind myself of what I’m most grateful for\, and why I love my life. That mindset brought ‘Crystal Ball’ on an acoustic guitar while staring at a popcorn ceiling with the lights off. That next summer\, while touring Europe\, I proposed to my wife in Madrid and added some of those details in the second verse. I mean what I say in the song – that I’d put my hand on the future and pray for all the beautiful blessings to last. I don’t want to fall into traps of thinking life is all doom and gloom. If I’m gonna be alive\, I wanna laugh and have fun. ‘Crystal Ball’ is my reminder.” See the Santiago Gomez-directed video HERE. \nFollowing the release of Para Llevar\, The Atlantic hilariously mistook it as a possible work of artificial intelligence. “I guess the Spotify algorithm was sharing my songs on playlists with that viral AI band The Velvet Sundown\, and there was a writer who started questioning if I was a real person\,” Delaware laughs. “It was absurd\, of course\, but it got me thinking even more about what makes us human\, about what it means to actually be alive.” Delaware began penning songs as reminders to himself to look for the bigger picture and\, as Warren Zevon once put it\, “enjoy every sandwich.” With the new songs came a new sense of fearlessness\, a commitment to living as authentically as possible. \nDelaware says “The album title\, On God’s Time\, isn’t a Biblical reference in the way most people use it to talk about letting go or surrendering to fate. It’s a reminder that this all ends\, that someday our bodies will be gone and no one will remember we were ever even here. We’ve been gifted this brief\, precious moment\, and it’s up to us to make the most of it. Death is one of the best teachers we have\,” he reflects. “It reminds you why you’re here\, how fleeting this all is and what a waste it would be to sleepwalk through it. You only get one chance to be who you’re meant to be.” \nFor Johnny Delaware\, dying is an inevitability. Living is a choice. \nJohnny Delaware On Tour: \nJune 19 – Jacksonville\, FL – Treehouse Art Space\nJune 20 – Atlanta\, GA – The House\nJune 25 – Charlotte\, NC – House Show\nJune 26 – Athens\, GA – Athfest (New West Athfest Party on the Georgia Theatre Rooftop) **\nJune 27 – Athens\, GA – Athfest (Georgia Theatre with Starboro) **\nJune 28 – Mobile\, AL – Callaghan’s Irish Pub\nJuly 1st – Louisville\, KY – Natalie’s Airbnb\nJuly 3rd – Chicago\, IL – House Show\nJuly 4th – Davenport\, IA – House Show\nJuly 5th – Maquoketa\, IA – House Show\nJuly 6th – Davenport\, IA – Raccoon Motel Anniversary Party\nJuly 10th – Atlanta\, GA – Moody Motel\nJuly 11th – McDonough\, GA – House Show \n** Full Band Performances \nSocial Share\n Share on Add Us (Opens in new window)\n Add Us\n \n Share on Instagram (Opens in new window)\n Instagram\n \n Share on X (Opens in new window)\n X\n \n Share on Bluesky (Opens in new window)\n Bluesky\n \n Share on Facebook (Opens in new window)\n Facebook\n More\n Print (Opens in new window)\n Print\n \n Share on Reddit (Opens in new window)\n Reddit\n \n Email a link to a friend (Opens in new window)\n Email\n \n Share on Pinterest (Opens in new window)\n Pinterest\n \n Share on Tumblr (Opens in new window)\n Tumblr\n \n Share on Threads (Opens in new window)\n Threads\n \n Share on WhatsApp (Opens in new window)\n WhatsApp\n \n Share on LinkedIn (Opens in new window)\n LinkedIn\n \n Share on Mastodon (Opens in new window)\n Mastodon\n \n Share on Telegram (Opens in new window)\n Telegram\n \n Share on Nextdoor (Opens in new window)\n Nextdoor\n Like this:Like Loading…

DESCRIPTION:Twin Cities Jazz Fest\, Minneapolis (June 19-20\, 2026)\n\n\nJune 17\, 2026 Wednesday\n The Twin Cities Jazz Fest\nat Various Venues\ntwincitiesjazzfestival.com\n\nThe Twin Cities Jazz Fest is celebrating their 28th Anniversary this June 19-20\, 2026. The non-profit organization with the mission of bringing communities together to enjoy and appreciate the art form of jazz and inspire new generations of youth. The festival is located in and around Mears Park in the Lowertown neighborhood of downtown Saint Paul. There are two outdoor stages at Mears Park as well as over 18 St. Paul venues have jazz programmed throughout the weekend. The Jazz Fest is a walking event. Most of the stages and venues are within walking distance.\n\n\n Emmet Cohen Trio \n\n\nWe caught the Twin Cities Jazz Festival last June 2025 and said\, “On a balmy summer evening in downtown St. Paul the Twin Cities Jazz Festival kicked off its 27th year. Earlier in the week the Star and Tribune noted that the TCJF is bigger than the Taste of Minnesota and boasts more musical acts than the Minnesota Yacht Club. In fact\, there were over eighty artists playing 20 venues over two days and a lot of it was free. So\, it was my intention to catch five of these acts at Mears Park.”\n\nSocial Share\n Share on Add Us (Opens in new window)\n Add Us\n \n Share on Instagram (Opens in new window)\n Instagram\n \n Share on X (Opens in new window)\n X\n \n Share on Bluesky (Opens in new window)\n Bluesky\n \n Share on Facebook (Opens in new window)\n Facebook\n More\n Print (Opens in new window)\n Print\n \n Share on Reddit (Opens in new window)\n Reddit\n \n Email a link to a friend (Opens in new window)\n Email\n \n Share on Pinterest (Opens in new window)\n Pinterest\n \n Share on Tumblr (Opens in new window)\n Tumblr\n \n Share on Threads (Opens in new window)\n Threads\n \n Share on WhatsApp (Opens in new window)\n WhatsApp\n \n Share on LinkedIn (Opens in new window)\n LinkedIn\n \n Share on Mastodon (Opens in new window)\n Mastodon\n \n Share on Telegram (Opens in new window)\n Telegram\n \n Share on Nextdoor (Opens in new window)\n Nextdoor\n Like this:Like Loading…

SUMMARY:Leslie Vincent at Twin Cities Jazz Fest Show (June 19\, 2026)
DESCRIPTION:Twin Cities Jazz Festival\nJune 19 @ 6:30 pm – 11:00 pm \nMetroNOME Brewery is proud to once again be a featured venue for the Twin Cities Jazz Festival. \nLittle Black Book is the forthcoming third album — and first of all original songs — by Minneapolis jazz vocalist and songwriter Leslie Vincent\, to be released independently on April 17 via the indie label\, Jazz Is Cool\, on CD and audiophile vinyl formats as well as all streaming services. Vincent wrote these dozen songs across several years\, placing songwriting at the center of her work as a jazz vocalist for the first time. \nThe album was written and recorded with Vincent’s longtime working band — pianist/keyboardist Patrick Adkins\, guitarist Blake Foster\, bassist Matt McIntyre\, drummer Ben Ehrlich\, and trumpeter Mitch Van Laar — musicians she has worked with consistently through rehearsal\, touring\, and performance. Guest contributors include songwriter and vocalist Jeremy Messersmith\, tenor saxophonist Stephanie Wieseler\, trombonist Zach Marley\, and violinist Mary Alice Hutton\, with horn arrangements by Sam Charlton. \nVincent’s move toward original songwriting has unfolded gradually across her discography. Her debut\, These Foolish Things (2020)\, established her as an interpreter grounded in the jazz tradition. With About Last Night (2023)\, she leaned more decisively into songs drawn from lived experience\, earning recognition from DownBeat\, which described her as “as much a storyteller as she is a jazz singer\,” and from Minneapolis’ Jazz88 FM\, which named the original song “Icetown Blues” one of the Best Jazz Songs of 2025. \n“I’m proud to live in Minneapolis\, but I don’t feel contained by it\,” Vincent says. “I look forward to sharing Little Black Book with the jazz world writ large\, and help elevate my city’s cultural fabric in the process.” \n“Leslie is a terrific songwriter — it’s so refreshing to hear an album of original\, jazz music that feels both familiar and unique\,” says two-time Grammy-winning vocalist and composer Nicole Zuraitis. “Her lyrics tell stories that paint vivid pictures all wild\, the band swings. The album showcases her talent\, all of it radiating from her pen.” \nLittle Black Book follows directly in that trajectory\, presenting songwriting not as a departure from jazz tradition\, but as a natural extension of Vincent’s artistic voice within it.“Once I started writing originals\, I realized how much I loved it\,” Vincent says. “I put a lot of time and attention into the process. I especially love watching audiences respond in real time to words I’ve strung together\, ideas I’ve carried for a long time. It’s incredibly rewarding.” \nThe songs that make up Little Black Book were originally imagined as a one-woman show. Many began as lines or scenes Vincent jotted down — voice memos captured while walking her dog or driving — accumulating gradually until they gelled into one record. The result is a song cycle rooted in lived experience: dating\, distraction\, anxiety\, memory\, and the grounding presence of long-term partnership. \nWhile Vincent brings material into the room\, her band shapes them collectively. “I’ll write some bones — a skeleton — and put things on paper\,” she explains. “Then when we have the full band\, we’ll spend quite a long time obsessing about it. It’s amazing how long we could talk about one chord change.” That attention to detail — deciding when to honor tradition and when to play with it — reflects a jazz process applied to original material. “It’s always done out of love for the art form\,” Vincent says. \nThe album opens with “Analog Love Affair\,” written from Vincent’s exhaustion with constant digital interruption. “Honestly\, if I could go back to the ’90s and live in the analog world\, I would\,” she says. The lyric states the tension plainly: “My emails take up all of my mind / But I’d rather be with you\,” before asking for “an analog love affair / Where no one gets to intrude.” \n“Tallying Strangers” grew out of a conversation with a close friend who had just gone on her hundredth first date. Vincent imagined the repetition of introductions and eye contact — the quiet math of modern dating — shaping the song around a question that never quite resolves: “How many strangers’ eyes / Do I have to meet / Until you finally / Make your way to me?” \n“What Humans Do\,” co-written with jeremy messersmith\, came from a practice Vincent calls “Human Days” — intentional breaks meant to reconnect with physical experience. The lyric lists what she wanted instead of routine: calling in sick\, putting her fingers in the dirt\, climbing trees\, taking her phone off the hook. \n“Love on Cape Cod” draws from Vincent’s relationship to storytelling across time. Loosely inspired by Sarah Waters’ Tipping the Velvet\, it reflects on earlier lives and intimacies — what love looked like\, and what was possible\, in another era — while subtly echoing Vincent’s own. \n“Ex #4: The Comedian” came out of a relationship that continued to surface long after it ended. “I dated a comedian who didn’t treat me right\,” Vincent says. “The way he treated me still haunts me. I’m ready for those thoughts and hang-ups to let me go. This song was my attempt to do that.” \nVincent has now found true love with her wife — and with “You & I (Go Together Like)\,” Vincent turns toward her marriage today. Guitarist Blake Foster wrote the music\, and Vincent shaped the lyrics around specific images — a honeymoon by the sea\, nights by a backyard fire pit. Foster also wrote the music for “Swinging Tattooed Queen\,” which Vincent wrote after her wife got a large\, radiant new tattoo. “I just thought it was so beautiful\,” Vincent says. “The words poured out: ‘Blues\, yellows\, greens / Oh\, your body is a kaleidoscope scene.’” \n“Rainy Days” grew from Vincent’s experience with anxiety. “I’m an anxious person — I can get caught up in my emotions\,” she says. Rather than hiding that from her partner\, the song holds it in place. “But you say you love my rainy days.” Vincent adds\, “I’m fascinated by this idea that once you find love\, your baggage doesn’t disappear. You just need someone who loves your baggage.” \n“Harriet the Spy” circles questions of truth-telling and restraint\, shaped in part by Vincent’s experience moving from the East Coast to the Midwest. The lyric lands on what gets softened or withheld: “The world doesn’t have the room for all our truth.” \n“Till They Do” came from a relationship that ended through ghosting after nine months. “While it was heartbreaking at the time\,” Vincent says\, “what a story for a song.” The line doesn’t blink: “You don’t know how they’re gonna leave you till they do.” \nThe album closes with two of Vincent’s earliest and funniest songs. “Hannah Always Cries at IKEA\,” one of the first songs she ever wrote and a longtime favorite at her live shows\, follows a real friend overwhelmed while preparing to move in with her partner. “Girls at My School” looks back on Vincent leaving her Maryland hometown at eighteen and rarely returning\, taking inventory of what stayed the same — the house on the hill\, the chain-link fence removed — and what didn’t: “But they don’t remember a thing / About all the ways that we dreamed.” \n“I live by the belief that if I feel something\, other people have felt it too\,” Vincent says. “By being vulnerable onstage\, I can help someone else feel seen — to realize\, ‘I didn’t know anyone else felt that way. I’d never thought about it like that.’” \nLittle Black Book arrives April 17th on all streaming platforms\, CDs and vinyl. \nTrack List \n1.Analog Love Affair \n2.Tallying Strangers \n3.What Humans Do (co-written with Jeremy Messersmith) \n4.Love on Cape Cod \n5.Ex #4: The Comedian \n6.You & I (Go Together Like) \n7.Swinging Tattooed Queen \n8.Rainy Days \n9.Harriet the Spy \n10.Till They Do \n11.Hannah Always Cries at IKEA \n12.Girls at My School \nSocial Share\n Share on Add Us (Opens in new window)\n Add Us\n \n Share on Instagram (Opens in new window)\n Instagram\n \n Share on X (Opens in new window)\n X\n \n Share on Bluesky (Opens in new window)\n Bluesky\n \n Share on Facebook (Opens in new window)\n Facebook\n More\n Print (Opens in new window)\n Print\n \n Share on Reddit (Opens in new window)\n Reddit\n \n Email a link to a friend (Opens in new window)\n Email\n \n Share on Pinterest (Opens in new window)\n Pinterest\n \n Share on Tumblr (Opens in new window)\n Tumblr\n \n Share on Threads (Opens in new window)\n Threads\n \n Share on WhatsApp (Opens in new window)\n WhatsApp\n \n Share on LinkedIn (Opens in new window)\n LinkedIn\n \n Share on Mastodon (Opens in new window)\n Mastodon\n \n Share on Telegram (Opens in new window)\n Telegram\n \n Share on Nextdoor (Opens in new window)\n Nextdoor\n Like this:Like Loading…

The band has been around since 2008\, releasing a first album in 2010 and their current lineup (aka v5.0) includes Brannen Miles\, Carter King\, Daniel Womack\, Thomas Johnson\, Kiffy Myers\, Thomas Myers\, and Spencer Thomas\, who all give off the vibe that you’re at their backyard barbecue and they’re all just jamming amongst friends. Not much was said between songs\, preferring to work as much in as possible\, but the guitarists were jumping about the stage\, they sing about things like “Olive Garden daydreams” and you would have thought the whole evening was over\, when Graves and half of The Head and The Heart all jumped on stage to gleefully sing along on “Wild Heart”\, the penultimate song of their fun set.”\n\nJoelton Mayfield to open.\nFuturebirds Tour Dates\n\n05/22 – Savannah\, GA – The Park At Eastern Wharf\n05/23–05/24 – Isle of Palms\, SC – The Windjammer\n05/31 – Columbia\, SC – Finlay Park\n06/05 – Greensboro\, NC – The Pyrle *\n06/06 – Richmond\, VA – The National\n06/08 – Washington\, DC – 9:30 Club *\n06/09 – Ardmore\, PA – Ardmore Music Hall *\n06/11 – Boston\, MA – Royale *\n06/12 – Woodstock\, NY – Levon Helm Studios *\n06/13 – New York\, NY – Irving Plaza *\n06/16 – Cleveland\, OH – Beachland Ballroom & Tavern *\n06/18 – Madison\, WI – High Noon Saloon *\n06/19 – Minneapolis\, MN – Fine Line *\n06/20 – Winnetka\, IL – Winnetka Music Festival\n07/08 – Kansas City\, MO – recordBar\n07/10 – Denver\, CO – Gothic Theatre ^\n07/11 – Beaver Creek\, CO – Vilar Performing Arts Center ^\n07/12 – Aspen\, CO – Belly Up Aspen ^\n07/14 – Phoenix\, AZ – Crescent Ballroom ^\n07/15 – San Diego\, CA – Music Box ^\n07/17 – Los Angeles\, CA – Teragram Ballroom ^\n07/18 – San Francisco\, CA – August Hall ^\n07/19 – Camino\, CA – Delfino Farms ^\n07/22 – Seattle\, WA – Tractor Tavern ^\n07/23 – Portland\, OR – Mississippi Studios ^\n07/24 – Bend\, OR – Volcanic Theatre Courtyard ^\n07/25 – Boise\, ID – Shrine Social Club Ballroom ^\n07/28 – Teton Village\, WY – Mangy Moose ^\n07/30 – Lander\, WY – Lander Presents: Summer Concert Series ^\n07/31–08/01 – Livingston\, MT – Pine Creek Lodge ^\n08/21 – Athens\, GA – Georgia Theatre\n09/02 – Nantucket\, MA – The Muse\n09/04 – Charlestown\, RI – Rhythm & Roots Festival\n09/06 – Portland\, ME – Ghostland\n09/15–19 – Nashville\, TN – AMERICANAFEST\n10/17 – Charlotte\, NC – TD Amp Ballantyne +\n10/18 – Cary\, NC – Koka Booth Amphitheatre +\n11/14 – Wilmington\, NC – B.A.D. It’s a night of memories\, sing-alongs\, and timeless hits you still know every word to.\n\n\n Five for Fighting \n\nWe saw Five for Fighting in July 2024 and wrote: “Grammy nominated\, platinum-selling artist Five for Fighting (aka John Ondrasik) closed out the show. He’s joined by an all-star backing band that included drummer Randy Cooke (Mick Jagger\, Ringo Starr\, Dave Stewart)\, bassist Sean Hurley (John Mayer\, Ringo Starr\, Alanis Morissette)\, and guitarist Peter Thorn (Chris Cornell\, Melissa Etheridge\, Don Henley). Before playing “Easy Tonight”\, one of Five for Fighting’s first hit single\, Ondrasik was very thankful to local Minnesota radio stations for playing his song. Thanks to strong support from the radio\, he was able to play the Fine Line\, then moved to First Avenue\, and at the Zoo. SUMMARY:Jax: The Runarounds at FIVE (June 20\, 2026)
DESCRIPTION:The Runarounds at FIVE (June 20\, 2026)\n\n\nJune 20\, 2026 Saturday The Runarounds\nat FIVEfivejax.com\n\nAmerican rock band The Runarounds will be headlining FIVE\, in Jacksonville\, on June 20\, 2026\, as part of their Minivan Tour.\n\n\n The Runarounds at First Avenue (Feb 6\, 2026) \n\nWe saw the band earlier in Feb 2026 and said\, “Headliners The Runarounds were up next. Formed in 2021\, the band was not originally supposed to perform at First Avenue\, but at nearby Fine Line. Having blown off the doors on sales\, they got promoted to the main stage (very nearly filling it to capacity)\, and the excitement from the crowd was palpable. In a very modern day turn of events\, The Runarounds have landed a serious following through their TV series on Amazon Prime that features them in a mix of real and fictional situations and characters\, but highlights their music throughout. The quintet (vocals/guitar\, guitar/vocals\, guitar\, bass\, and drums) came to stage and the crowd erupted. With multiple singers\, the band hit with a wave of sound with all those voices and guitars. Sophia was super charged and had band and audience all hyped up. After the first bit of banter\, including the note of being in the iconic venue\, they rolled into 15 Rootbeers\, with the crowd singing along in full voice. Crossroads was a new song and had some nice bright guitar riffs to nearly be in pop rock mode. The alternating lead vocalists even within a song was a nice effect for The Runarounds\, and it created a change of pace throughout. When Beautiful Stranger started\, I was unsure who was louder on vocals\, but the crowd might have been winning. Perhaps it’s because of their experience on the TV show\, but the band’s repartee with the crowd was easy going and humorous and continued to reward the audience.”\nThe Runarounds – Minivan Tour 2026\n\nJune 6 – Little Rock\, AR – The Hall\nJune 7 – Oklahoma City\, OK – Tower Theatre\nJune 10 – New Orleans\, LA – The Fillmore\nJune 11 – Branson\, MS – City Hall Live\nJune 13 – Manchester\, TN – Bonnaroo Music & Arts Festival\nJune 16 – Dothan\, AL – The Plant\nJune 18 – St. Petersburg\, FL – Jannus Live\nJune 19 – Orlando\, FL – House of Blues \nJune 20 – Jacksonville\, FL – FIVE\nJune 21 – Greensboro\, NC – The Pyrle \n \n\n\nSocial Share\n Share on Add Us (Opens in new window)\n Add Us\n \n Share on Instagram (Opens in new window)\n Instagram\n \n Share on X (Opens in new window)\n X\n \n Share on Bluesky (Opens in new window)\n Bluesky\n \n Share on Facebook (Opens in new window)\n Facebook\n More\n Print (Opens in new window)\n Print\n \n Share on Reddit (Opens in new window)\n Reddit\n \n Email a link to a friend (Opens in new window)\n Email\n \n Share on Pinterest (Opens in new window)\n Pinterest\n \n Share on Tumblr (Opens in new window)\n Tumblr\n \n Share on Threads (Opens in new window)\n Threads\n \n Share on WhatsApp (Opens in new window)\n WhatsApp\n \n Share on LinkedIn (Opens in new window)\n LinkedIn\n \n Share on Mastodon (Opens in new window)\n Mastodon\n \n Share on Telegram (Opens in new window)\n Telegram\n \n Share on Nextdoor (Opens in new window)\n Nextdoor\n Like this:Like Loading…

DESCRIPTION:Widowspeak at 7th St Entry (Jun 26\, 2026)\n\n\nJune 26\, 2026 Friday\nWidowspeak\nwith Neu Blumeat 7th St Entryfirst-avenue.com\n\nNew York’s Widowspeak is back on tour in support of Roses\, due out June 5 on Captured Tracks.\n\n Widowspeak at 7th Street Entry\, Minneapolis (15 September 2017) \n\n\nWe saw Widowspeak in Sep 2017 and wrote\, “Closing out the show was Brooklyn’s Widowspeak \, who is currently on tour in support of their recently released album Expect the Best (Captured Tracks). Originally\, the band formed in 2010 with Molly Hamilton and Michael Stasiak\, but after extensive touring for their self-titled debut album\, Stasiak left the band before 2012’s album Almanac. Widowspeak describe its band as a duo between Hamilton and guitarist Robert Earl Thomas\, but for their live shows\, they’ve also added bassist Willy Muse and drummer James Jano to their lineup. The last time the band was in town\, it was in 2012 (however\, we did cover them a few years ago at Georgia Theatre)\, so the band was really happy to be back in the city. Hamilton said she couldn’t remember the city’s nickname\, “Was it The Bigapplelous?” The audience yelled back\, “It’s Minni-appleous.” Just for clarification\, it’s “Twin Cities” for Minneapolis and St Paul (the other city across the Mississippi river).”\n\nNeu Blume to open.\nTour Dates\n\n06/16 – Brooklyn\, NY – Music Hall of Williamsburg\n06/18 – Philadelphia\, PA – Johnny Brenda’s\n06/19 – Washington DC – DC9\n06/20 – Mount Solon\, VA – Red Wing Roots Festival\n06/22 – Raleigh\, NC – Pour House\n06/23 – Atlanta\, GA – The Earl\n06/24 – Nashville\, TN – Third Man Blue Room\n06/26 – Minneapolis\, MN – 7th St. Entry\n06/27 – Milwaukee\, WI – The Argo\n06/28 – Chicago\, IL – Schubas\n06/30 – Ferndale\, MI – Magic Bag\n07/01 – Toronto\, ON – Sound Garage\n07/02 – Montreal\, QC – L’Esco\n07/03 – Boston\, MA – Arts at the Armory\n07/30 – Seattle\, WA – Barboza\n07/31-08/02 – Happy Valley\, OR – Pickathon (Festival)\n08/04 – San Francisco\, CA – Bottom of the Hill\n08/07 – Los Angeles\, CA – Lodge Room\n08/08 – Santa Ana\, CA – Constellation Room\n08/09 – Phoenix\, AZ – Valley Bar\n08/11 – Santa Fe\, NM – Tumbleroot Brewery\n08/12 – Denver\, CO – Hi-Dive\n08/14 – Salt Lake City\, UT – Urban Lounge (Psych Lake City Festival)\n08/15 – Boise\, ID – Shrine Social Club\n08/16 – Spokane\, WA – The District\nNov 12th – Leeds\, UK @ Brudenell Social Club\nNov 13th – Dublin\, IE @ Workmans Club\nNov 15th – Glasgow\, UK @ The Rum Shack\nNov 16th – Manchester\, UK @ YES (Pink Room)\nNov 17th – London\, UK @ Scala\nNov 18th – Lille\, FR @ La Bulle\nNov 19th – Paris\, FR @ LePopUp!\nNov 22nd – Milan\, IT @ Arci Bellezza\nNov 23rd – Zurich\, CH @ Bogen F\nNov 24th – Munich\, DE @ Milla\nNov 25th – Salzburg\, AT @ Rockhouse\nNov 27th – Prague\, CZ @ Café V Lese\nNov 29th – Warsaw\, PL @ Chmury\nDec 1st – Berlin\, DE @ Frannz Club\nDec 2nd – Hamburg\, DE @ Hebebuhne\nDec 3rd – Malmö\, SE @ Plan B\nDec 4th – Gothenburg\, SE @ Pustervik\nDec 5th – Stockholm\, SE @ Hus 7\nDec 6th – Oslo\, NO @ John Dee\nDec 7th – Copenhagen\, DK @ Rust\nDec 9th – Utrecht\, NL @ DB’s\nDec 10th – Kortrijk\, BE @ Wilde Westen\nDec 11th – Hasselt\, BE @ AFF\nDec 13th – Tilburg\, NL @ Hall of Fame\n \n\n\nSocial Share\n Share on Add Us (Opens in new window)\n Add Us\n \n Share on Instagram (Opens in new window)\n Instagram\n \n Share on X (Opens in new window)\n X\n \n Share on Bluesky (Opens in new window)\n Bluesky\n \n Share on Facebook (Opens in new window)\n Facebook\n More\n Print (Opens in new window)\n Print\n \n Share on Reddit (Opens in new window)\n Reddit\n \n Email a link to a friend (Opens in new window)\n Email\n \n Share on Pinterest (Opens in new window)\n Pinterest\n \n Share on Tumblr (Opens in new window)\n Tumblr\n \n Share on Threads (Opens in new window)\n Threads\n \n Share on WhatsApp (Opens in new window)\n WhatsApp\n \n Share on LinkedIn (Opens in new window)\n LinkedIn\n \n Share on Mastodon (Opens in new window)\n Mastodon\n \n Share on Telegram (Opens in new window)\n Telegram\n \n Share on Nextdoor (Opens in new window)\n Nextdoor\n Like this:Like Loading…
