SUMMARY:Jax: James McMurtry at FIVE (January 26\, 2027)
DESCRIPTION:James McMurtry released The Black Dog and the Wandering Boy on June 20 via New West Records. The 10-song collection was co-produced by McMurtry & Don Dixon (R.E.M.\, The Smithereens) and is his first album in four years. It follows his 2021 acclaimed New West debut\, The Horses and the Hounds\, which Uncut Magazine said “lifts storytelling-in-song to meticulous new levels” and Pitchforkawarded an 8.0\, saying “James McMurtry stands out even among the Lone Star State’s finest songwriters…” The Black Dog and the Wandering Boy features appearances by Sarah Jarosz\, Charlie Sexton\, Bonnie Whitmore\, Bukka Allen\, and more alongside his trusted backing band\, The Martial Law Review\, Cornbread on bass\, Tim Holt on guitar\, and Daren Hess on drums. \nAs varied as they are\, McMurtry’s new story-songs find inspiration in scraps from his family’s past: a rough pencil sketch by Ken Kesey that serves as the album cover\, the hallucinations experienced by his father\, the legendary writer Larry McMurtry\, an old poem by a family friend. A supremely insightful and inventive storyteller\, McMurtry teases vivid worlds out of small details\, setting them to arrangements that have the elements of Americana but sound too sly and smart for such a general category. Funny and sad often in the same breath\, The Black Dog and the Wandering Boy adds a new chapter to a long career that has enjoyed a resurgence as young songwriters like Sarah Jarosz and Jason Isbell (who is namechecked on the new album) cite him as a formative influence. \nOn the day of release\, Rolling Stone shared the album’s rumbling title track\, calling him “one of America’s greatest living songwriters.” A kind of squirrely blues\, it features two mysterious figures who appear only to those slipping from reality\, yet it’s never grim nor especially despairing. Instead\, McMurtry namechecks a “Weird Al” deep cut and depicts a tortured soul who doesn’t have to work a nine-to-five. McMurtry says\, “The album title and that song comes from my stepmother\, Faye. After my dad passed\, she asked me if he ever talked to me about his hallucinations. He’d gone into dementia for a while before he died\, but hadn’t mentioned to me anything about seeing things. She told me his favorite hallucinations were the black dog and the wandering boy. I took them and applied them to a fictional character.” Speaking to Rolling Stone\, McMurtry added\, “I stole one line from the late Keith Ferguson\, who played bass in the Fabulous Thunderbirds back in the day. I didn’t know Keith\, but Ronnie Johnson\, our longtime ex-bassist\, used to hang out with him some. Ronnie remembers Keith stirring his drink on the front porch as the sun came up and saying\, ‘I like to sit up and watch the squares go to work.'” \nFor The Black Dog & The Wandering Boy\, McMurtry called on his old friend Don Dixon\, who produced his third album\, Where’d You Hide the Body?\, back in 1995. He says\, “A couple of years ago I quit producing myself. I felt like I was repeating myself methodologically and stylistically. I needed to go back to producer school\, so I brought in CC Adcock for Complicated Game\, and then Ross Hogarth did The Horses & The Hounds. It seemed natural to revisit Mr. Dixon’s homeroom. I wanted to learn some of what he’s learned over the last thirty years.” McMurtry and his band worked to create something that sounds spontaneous\, as though he’s writing the songs as you hear them. They were open to odd experiments\, weird whims\, and happy accidents. In addition to his original compositions\, the album features a pair of covers as bookends\, “Laredo (Small Dark Something)\,” an opioid blues & testimony from a part-time junkie losing a weekend to dope by Jon Dee Graham\, and Kris Kristofferson’s “Broken Freedom Song.” McMurtry says\, “Kris was one of my major influences as a child. He was the first person that I recognized as a songwriter. I hadn’t really thought about where songs come from\, but I started listening to Kristofferson as a songwriter and thinking\, How do you do this? Kris had just passed not too long before we recorded ‘Broken Freedom Song.’” \nOnce the album was mixed\, mastered\, and sequenced\, McMurtry recalled a pencil sketch he had found a few years earlier in his father’s effects. It seemed like it might make a good cover. “I knew it was me\, but I didn’t realize who drew it. I asked my mom and my stepdad\, and finally asked my stepmom\, Faye\, who said it looked like Ken Kesey’s work back in the ‘60s. She was married to Ken for forty years.” The Merry Pranksters—Kesey’s roving band of hippie activists and creators—stopped by a couple of times to visit Larry McMurtry and his family. “I don’t remember their first visit\, the one documented in Tom Wolfe’s Electric Kool-Aid Acid Test. I was too young\, but I do remember a couple of Ken’s visits. I guess he drew it on one of those later stops. I remembered it and thought it would be the perfect art\, but I had to go back through the storage locker. It’s a miracle I found it again.” It’s a fitting image for an album that scavenges personal history for inspiration. \nKnown for his powerhouse performances\, McMurtry tours year-round. So far\, his initial tour dates in support of the new album have been mostly sold out and wildly enjoyed with stops at the legendary Troubadour in Los Angeles\, Tractor Tavern in Seattle\, The Bluebird Theater in Denver\, and more. \n“You follow the words where they lead. If you can get a character\, maybe you can get a story. If you can set it to a verse-chorus structure\, maybe you can get a song. A song can come from anywhere\, but the main inspiration is fear. Specifically fear of irrelevance. If you don’t have songs\, you don’t have a record. If you don’t have a record\, you don’t have a tour. You gotta keep putting out work.” \nJames McMurtry’s The Black Dog & The Wandering Boy is available across digital platforms\, compact disc\, and standard black vinyl. \nThe Black Dog & The Wandering Boy Track Listing:\n1. SUMMARY:Jax: MICO at FIVE (February 23\, 2027)
DESCRIPTION:After a whirlwind year of sold out shows\, his debut album\, and a rapidly expanding global fanbase\, 23-year-old Filipino Canadian artist MICO announces his 2027 IN:BETWEEN Tour\, taking him across Europe and the U.S. beginning January 18. \nThe 29-date global headline tour arrives at a fitting moment for MICO\, who has spent the past year navigating the space between where he came from and where he is headed. From growing up in Toronto and building his audience online to spending much of the last year on the road\, MICO’s music has increasingly explored what happens when the life you knew starts to feel different. The IN:BETWEEN Tour brings that feeling to the stage\, marking his biggest headline run yet and taking his world to new cities across two continents. \nMICO released his debut album When the lights turn on in June via Columbia Records. Blending the hook heavy nostalgia of 2000s and 2010s pop punk with modern alt pop\, hyperpop\, and alternative influences\, the album captures the emotional chaos of growing up in real time. Across the project\, MICO explores identity\, heartbreak\, nostalgia\, online perception versus reality\, and the strange experience of outgrowing the people and places that once felt like home. \nThe IN:BETWEEN Tour will kick off in Europe in January\, taking MICO through Barcelona\, Paris\, Cologne\, Munich\, Prague\, Copenhagen\, Amsterdam\, London\, Dublin\, and more before continuing across the U.S. through March. The tour follows MICO’s sold out headline dates across North America and Europe and comes as his community of “amicos” continues to grow well beyond the internet spaces where he first found them. \nTickets and VIP Upgrades will be available through a series of presales beginning Tuesday\, October 13\, with the general onsale beginning Friday\, October 16. \nEUROPE\nJanuary 18\, 2027 | Barcelona\, Spain | Razzmatazz Room 1\nJanuary 20\, 2027 | Paris\, France | La Cigale\nJanuary 21\, 2027 | Cologne\, Germany | Live Music Hall\nJanuary 23\, 2027 | Munich\, Germany | Kesselhaus\nJanuary 25\, 2027 | Prague\, Czech Republic | Roxy\nJanuary 27\, 2027 | Copenhagen\, Denmark | Vega\nJanuary 29\, 2027 | Amsterdam\, Netherlands | Melkweg\nJanuary 30\, 2027 | Antwerp\, Belgium | Trix\nFebruary 1\, 2027 | Manchester\, UK | Academy\nFebruary 2\, 2027 | Glasgow\, UK | QMU\nFebruary 4\, 2027 | London\, UK | Roundhouse\nFebruary 7\, 2027 | Dublin\, Ireland | Academy \nUNITED STATES\nFebruary 19\, 2027 | Carrboro\, NC | Cat’s Cradle\nFebruary 20\, 2027 | Charlotte\, NC | The Underground\nFebruary 21\, 2027 | Charleston\, SC | Charleston Music Hall\nFebruary 23\, 2027 | Jacksonville\, FL | FIVE\nFebruary 25\, 2027 | Fort Lauderdale\, FL | Revolution Live\nFebruary 26\, 2027 | St. Petersburg\, FL | Jannus Live\nFebruary 27\, 2027 | Orlando\, FL | House of Blues\nMarch 1\, 2027 | Birmingham\, AL | Iron City\nMarch 2\, 2027 | New Orleans\, LA | House of Blues\nMarch 4\, 2027 | Fayetteville\, AR | Ozark Music Hall\nMarch 5\, 2027 | Oklahoma City\, OK | Tower Theatre\nMarch 6\, 2027 | Lawrence\, KS | The Granada\nMarch 8\, 2027 | St. Louis\, MO | The Hawthorn\nMarch 9\, 2027 | Indianapolis\, IN | Deluxe at Old National Centre\nMarch 10\, 2027 | Columbus\, OH | Newport Music Hall\nMarch 12\, 2027 | Cincinnati\, OH | Bogart’s\nMarch 13\, 2027 | Cleveland\, OH | Globe Iron \nSocial Share\n Share on Add Us (Opens in new window)\n Add Us\n \n Share on Instagram (Opens in new window)\n Instagram\n \n Share on X (Opens in new window)\n X\n \n Share on Bluesky (Opens in new window)\n Bluesky\n \n Share on Facebook (Opens in new window)\n Facebook\n More\n Print (Opens in new window)\n Print\n \n Share on Reddit (Opens in new window)\n Reddit\n \n Email a link to a friend (Opens in new window)\n Email\n \n Share on Pinterest (Opens in new window)\n Pinterest\n \n Share on Tumblr (Opens in new window)\n Tumblr\n \n Share on Threads (Opens in new window)\n Threads\n \n Share on WhatsApp (Opens in new window)\n WhatsApp\n \n Share on LinkedIn (Opens in new window)\n LinkedIn\n \n Share on Mastodon (Opens in new window)\n Mastodon\n \n Share on Telegram (Opens in new window)\n Telegram\n \n Share on Nextdoor (Opens in new window)\n Nextdoor\n Like this:Like Loading…

The band plays a blend of indie rock\, indie pop\, jangle pop\, and lo-fi\, which they often describe as “woozy guitar pop”.\n\nAhead of Vacations’ Pursuit of Anything release\, our Italian partner Kalporz interviewed the Australian band.\n \n\n Vacations \n\nWe last saw the band headlined First Avenue in Minneapolis\, on October 6\, 2023\, and said: “Platinum-selling Australian band Vacations closed out the night. The popular band has a string of hit singles\, recently with the “Midwest” and “Terms & Conditions.” Every song they’ve released gets millions of streams and airplay. Their most popular song\, “Next Exit”\, has over 9 million streams and #1 on XMU. The group prides itself as a DIY band\, and “get-go” type of band. It was started in 2016 as a stagename for Campbell Burns\, but he soon recruited band members Jake Johnson\, Nate Delizzotti\, and Joseph Van Lier\, to join his group… to release their debut album Changes in 2018… These Tourzilla shows are a great way to get word out on these two upcoming Australian bands to the American audience. Based on the young audience\, it is working.”\n\n\nSince we saw them\, the band went on to being named Pandora’s “Artists to Watch” and made their American television debut on CBS Morning’s Saturday Session\, followed by Jimmy Kimmel Live\, and The Late Show with Stephen Colbert. With the new album out\, expect to see the band coming to a town near you in 2027.\n\n>>>“Happiness as a feedback loop”\, a small talk with Vacationsby Emanuele Santucci\, 02/09/2026\n\nThe Australian band is back with a new album\, “Pursuit of Anything”\, set for release on October 2\, and we talked with them about it. \n[Qui l’intervista in italiano.]\n\n\nPursuit of Anything captures Vacations at a turning point as lead songwriter and vocalist Campbell Burns reflects on the disorienting\, often contradictory experience of growing up\, tracing his path from Newcastle (Australia) to Los Angeles and New York — caught between ambition and the more traditional lives unfolding back home. Written by the band and produced by Burns\, the album finds Vacations operating as a fully creative force with Burns drawing constant inspiration from his bandmates’ lives and perspectives: exploring how they’re each living out different lives yet share a common experience\, all in their own “pursuits.”\n\nVacations is a band that loves to break records: sold-out world tours\, double-platinum hits\, and more than 3.7 billion streams. Today\, they took 10 minutes to talk to us about their music\, as well as emotions\, togetherness\, life stages\, and places close to their hearts.\n\nHi\, guys! Thanks for your time. How are you? I know you just wrapped up a long\, sold-out tour around the world. How was it?Exhausting\, but still fulfilling. The tour was two months or so and involved a lot of flying due to the routing we had. This resulted in a lot of time spent passing through airports\, going through security and customs\, and waiting for luggage. Everyday started to feel the same\, but we were progressively getting more worn out from the time zone differences and rushing to get to the venue after landing. In future\, I wouldn’t have multiple continents back-to-back on a tour. I don’t think it impacted any of our performances\, we’d give our all for it\, but it did get close. Like I said though\, the shows themselves were still great and it was wonderful to meet fans all over. Truly a case of\, “oh no\, my steak is too juicy and my lobster too buttery”\, y’know?\n\nSpeaking of distances\, your latest album\, “Pursuit of Anything\,” set for release on October 2\, was composed between the United States and Australia\, with Campbell in Los Angeles and Brooklyn and the rest of the band in Newcastle (South Wales). What was it like to write new songs with band members scattered across the globe? It seems to me that you still managed to find great chemistry. We did it with No Place Like Home as well\, it’s honestly not as wild as it seems. I write a lot of the foundation for a song anyway\, so almost every part is sketched out and exists before a demo is shown to everyone else. From there\, we can refine once we’re in the studio. Some parts will change\, and others stay the same.\n\n“Pursuit of Anything” is inspired by each of your lives and by reaching the age of 30\, that is\, the end of what we might call “post-adolescence”\, and by all the changes and decisions that adulthood brings. What conclusions can you draw about your lives so far? If you could go back in time\, what would you change\, and what wouldn’t you?I’ve thought about this before\, but ultimately\, I don’t think I’d change anything. I know if I did\, there’d only be other things I’d want to change because I wouldn’t be able to predict every outcome. I think that takes away the whole point of life.\n\nQuestion for Campbell: What’s it like to move away from home\, more or less permanently? You’re all together on tour for months at a time\, so I imagine you’re used to it\, but how does changing something that serves as a point of reference for all of us\, like our home and our city\, affect your writing and inspiration? How much do you think our feelings and emotions can change when we’re in a place that’s more or less far away? You find a new home\, and so you find new meaning. I think it’s a beautiful\, and necessary\, process if you truly want to grow as a person. My hometown is so different compared to what I grew up in that it’s not the same anymore\, and that’s okay. I live in NYC now and I love it here.\n\n“Pursuit of Anything” was produced by Campbell (congratulations!) and mixed by Beatriz Artola\, who has a truly impressive track record as a producer and has just collaborated with Geese on their album “Getting Killed.” Were you looking for that kind of inspiration for your sound? Not really. Beatriz was recommended to us by our A&R. We gave her two songs that were complete opposites to one another\, Last Call and I See Myself in You\, and when we heard back the test mixes we knew she would be perfect to mix the record. I’m glad we had someone recommend her because she became a mentor\, and a friend\, for me. We’d spend days in her studio in Brooklyn going back and forth together mixing and trying out different ideas. Beatriz would handle the technical side and I’d be there to suggest some creative ideas around reverbs and delays\, and then once she knew what I was trying to do\, she could refine it further. I felt like we quickly built a respectful and admirable rapport between one another. I’ve never had so much fun in the mixing stage before.\n\n\nI think if I wasn’t in music then I’d be a photographer or a gardener.\n\n\nThe title you chose for your upcoming album\, according to Campbell\, “is about happiness as a feedback loop\, how we’re always chasing the next thing.” But what if I told you that if you hadn’t chased your “next things\,” we probably wouldn’t be here talking right now\, so it can also be seen as a positive thing! What do you think? I think you can be happy with what you’ve accomplished!Thank you. I try to remind myself of that. I think if I wasn’t in music then I’d be a photographer or a gardener.\n\nIn closing\, all that’s left is for me to thank you once again and wish you all great music! Would you like to say hello to your Italian fans and the readers of Kalporz? Will you be coming to play in Italy on your next tour? I’d love to! I hope we can make it to Italy on our next European tour because the last time we were in Italy was 2019. \nSocial Share\n Share on Add Us (Opens in new window)\n Add Us\n \n Share on Instagram (Opens in new window)\n Instagram\n \n Share on X (Opens in new window)\n X\n \n Share on Bluesky (Opens in new window)\n Bluesky\n \n Share on Facebook (Opens in new window)\n Facebook\n More\n Print (Opens in new window)\n Print\n \n Share on Reddit (Opens in new window)\n Reddit\n \n Email a link to a friend (Opens in new window)\n Email\n \n Share on Pinterest (Opens in new window)\n Pinterest\n \n Share on Tumblr (Opens in new window)\n Tumblr\n \n Share on Threads (Opens in new window)\n Threads\n \n Share on WhatsApp (Opens in new window)\n WhatsApp\n \n Share on LinkedIn (Opens in new window)\n LinkedIn\n \n Share on Mastodon (Opens in new window)\n Mastodon\n \n Share on Telegram (Opens in new window)\n Telegram\n \n Share on Nextdoor (Opens in new window)\n Nextdoor\n Like this:Like Loading…

SUMMARY:Mpls: THAO at Turf Club (Mar 9\, 2027)
DESCRIPTION:Tuesday\nMar\n9\n2027\nTurf Club\nTHAO ( Full Band )\n‘SHOW ME’ Tour\nDoors Open\n7PM\nShow Starts\n8PM\nAges\n21+ \nTHAO (Full Band) \n \nCritically acclaimed songwriter and performer THAO will release her first album in six years Show Me on October 30 via Kill Rock Stars. A suite of primal\, expansive\, sexy and wrenchingly tender-hearted songs that act as portals into THAO’s kaleidoscopic inner life\, the album was self-produced alongside Nate Brenner (also a co-writer) and Merrill Garbus of Tune-Yards and features special guests: Tune-Yards\, The Linda Lindas\, Neko Case and Adrian Quesada (Black Pumas). Lucky fans in select cities will have a chance to experience her captivating live show this fall. Today\, she is thrilled to announce an extensive 2027 North American tour\, making stops in NYC\, DC\, Boston\, Nashville\, Portland\, Seattle\, Chicago\, Atlanta and much more. Ticket on-sale: Friday\, Sept 25 @ 12pm local. \nSometimes life starts educating you before you are ready to receive the lesson. Show Me documents her personal life as it underwent a reckoning – divorce\, the upending of a home – and desire to use her voice for community + positive political change on a national and local level. To this point\, she has teamed up with The Ally Coalition to donate a portion of ticket sales for the 2027 tour to non-profit organizations supporting LGBTQ Youth in each city \n“I learned that the point of life is not to emerge unscathed\, and that I don’t want to operate as I always have — masking fear as indifference\,” says THAO. “This album is a real-time record-keeping of my life evolving into a different relationship with love and desire over the last few years. For example\, I came out publicly years ago but I’ve never really written a song about sex or queer identity. So\, that’s in there.” In the shearing spirit\, out went her long-time band name — Thao and the Get Down Stay Down. Show Me is a record of that journey. \nAs a multidisciplinary visionary\, THAO graced the cover of New York Times’s T Magazine\, guest-hosted the famed Song Exploder podcast\, hosted the PBS show Southern Songs in 2023 and performed on Fred Armisen’s 2018 Netflix special\, Standup for Drummers. She is also politically engaged and continues her support for Working Families Power. She is also developing a musical and is working on her first book for renowned publisher Graywolf Press. First and foremost\, THAO is a stage commanding recording artist and she is thrilled to be connecting with fans directly again on tour! \n2026 \n11/3: Los Angeles @ Lodge Room \n11/8: San Francisco @ The Independent \n11/11: Kingston\, NY @ Unicorn \n11/12: New York City @ Mercury Lounge \n11/13: Providence\, RI @ Alchemy \n11/14: Brattleboro\, VT @ Stone Church \n2027 \n2/23: Hamden\, CT @ Space Ballroom \n2/24: New York\, NY @ Bowery Ballroom \n2/25: Boston\, MA @ Paradise Rock Club \n2/26: Sellersville\, PA @ Sellersville Theater \n2/27: Washington\, DC @ Black Cat \n3/1: Asheville\, NC @ The Grey Eagle \n3/3: Atlanta\, GA @ City Winery \n3/4: Knoxville\, TN @ Bijou Theatre \n3/5: Nashville\, TN @ The Blue Room at Third Man Records \n3/6: Cincinnati\, OH @ Memorial Hall \n3/7: Chicago\, IL @ Lincoln Hall \n3/9: St. Paul\, MN @ Turf Club \n3/10: Madison\, WI @ Majestic Theatre \n3/12: Columbus\, OH @ Skully’s Music Diner \n3/13: Kent\, OH @ The Kent Stage \n3/14: Toronto\, ON @ The Great Hall \n4/1: Vancouver\, BC @ Fox Cabaret \n4/2: Portland\, OR @ Aladdin Theater \n4/3: Seattle\, WA @ The Crocodile \n4/5: Salt Lake City\, UT @ Urban Lounge \n4/7: Fort Collins\, CO @ The Armory \n4/8: Denver\, CO @ Meow Wolf Denver \n4/9: Santa Fe\, NM @ Meow Wolf \n4/10: Tucson\, AZ @ 191 Toole \n4/11: Phoenix\, AZ @ Crescent Ballroom \nSocial Share\n Share on Add Us (Opens in new window)\n Add Us\n \n Share on Instagram (Opens in new window)\n Instagram\n \n Share on X (Opens in new window)\n X\n \n Share on Bluesky (Opens in new window)\n Bluesky\n \n Share on Facebook (Opens in new window)\n Facebook\n More\n Print (Opens in new window)\n Print\n \n Share on Reddit (Opens in new window)\n Reddit\n \n Email a link to a friend (Opens in new window)\n Email\n \n Share on Pinterest (Opens in new window)\n Pinterest\n \n Share on Tumblr (Opens in new window)\n Tumblr\n \n Share on Threads (Opens in new window)\n Threads\n \n Share on WhatsApp (Opens in new window)\n WhatsApp\n \n Share on LinkedIn (Opens in new window)\n LinkedIn\n \n Share on Mastodon (Opens in new window)\n Mastodon\n \n Share on Telegram (Opens in new window)\n Telegram\n \n Share on Nextdoor (Opens in new window)\n Nextdoor\n Like this:Like Loading…

Horan also stopped by Perfectly Imperfect to talk about what he’s been into recently. Read HERE. \nThere’s something about sharing a table that feels like sharing a future and Dinner Party brings the listener into that experience with warmth\, wit and sincerity. The album is cinematic and organic\, with songs that play like memories being gently created. Julian Bunetta and John Ryan\, Horan’s longtime collaborators\, served as executive producers. His other creative partners and co-writers included Afterhrs\, Amy Allen\, Ian Franzino\, Andrew Haas\, Steph Jones\, Rocky Block and Joel Little.  \nPraising his new single\, “Little More Time\,” as an “anthem for any 30something looking down the barrel of midlife\,” GQobserved\, “Horan sings about turning clocks upside down\, stretches out each melody and verse like it’s stuck in honey\, and begs for one more song like a reveler coming to terms with last call at their favorite karaoke bar—a Bernard’s Watch for the adults in the room.” \nThe multi-Platinum-selling singer/songwriter first rose to prominence as part of the internationally acclaimed One Direction and has since firmly established himself as a powerhouse solo artist\, selling over 90 million records worldwide. He launched his solo career with the Platinum-certified album Flicker\, which featured the triple-Platinum hit “Slow Hands.” Horan has since released three additional albums —Heartbreak Weather\, which ranked No. 1 on both Billboard’s Top Album Sales Chart and the U.K.’s Official Albums Chart\, The Show\, which topped the same two charts\, and The Show: Encore. His 2024 global headline trek “THE SHOW” LIVE ON TOUR brought his music to packed arenas across multiple continents\, culminating in a sold-out North American run and over 1.2 million tickets sold worldwide. \nNIALL HORAN DINNER PARTY LIVE ON TOUR –NORTH AMERICA 2027 \n3/17 – St. Paul\, MN – Grand Casino Arena \n3/19 – Detroit\, MI – Little Caesars Arena \n3/20 – Columbus\, OH – Nationwide Arena \n3/23 – Chicago\, IL – United Center \n3/26 – Indianapolis\, IN – Gainbridge Fieldhouse \n3/27 – St. Louis\, MO – Enterprise Center \n3/30 – Toronto\, ON – Scotiabank Arena \n4/2 – Montreal\, QC – Bell Centre \n4/4 – Brooklyn\, NY – Barclays Center \n4/8 – Baltimore\, MD – CFG Bank Arena \n4/12 – Boston\, MA – TD Garden \n4/13 – Hartford\, CT – PeoplesBank Arena \n4/15 – Raleigh\, NC – Lenovo Center \n4/17 – Orlando\, FL – Kia Center \n4/28 – Atlanta\, GA – State Farm Arena \n4/29 – New Orleans\, LA – Smoothie King Center \n5/1 – Houston\, TX – Toyota Center \n5/2 – Fort Worth\, TX – Dickies Arena \n5/14 – Austin\, TX – Moody Center \n5/16 – Denver\, CO – Ball Arena \n5/18 – Salt Lake City\, UT – Maverik Center \n5/20 – Phoenix\, AZ – Mortgage Matchup Center \n5/22 – Los Angeles\, CA – The Kia Forum \n5/25 – San Francisco\, CA – Chase Center \n5/27 – Seattle\, WA – Climate Pledge Arena \n5/29 – Vancouver\, BC – Rogers Arena \nSocial Share\n Share on Add Us (Opens in new window)\n Add Us\n \n Share on Instagram (Opens in new window)\n Instagram\n \n Share on X (Opens in new window)\n X\n \n Share on Bluesky (Opens in new window)\n Bluesky\n \n Share on Facebook (Opens in new window)\n Facebook\n More\n Print (Opens in new window)\n Print\n \n Share on Reddit (Opens in new window)\n Reddit\n \n Email a link to a friend (Opens in new window)\n Email\n \n Share on Pinterest (Opens in new window)\n Pinterest\n \n Share on Tumblr (Opens in new window)\n Tumblr\n \n Share on Threads (Opens in new window)\n Threads\n \n Share on WhatsApp (Opens in new window)\n WhatsApp\n \n Share on LinkedIn (Opens in new window)\n LinkedIn\n \n Share on Mastodon (Opens in new window)\n Mastodon\n \n Share on Telegram (Opens in new window)\n Telegram\n \n Share on Nextdoor (Opens in new window)\n Nextdoor\n Like this:Like Loading…

All tickets purchased for original show will be honored. \nA message from the band: \n When we booked our fall 2026 tour\, we wanted it to be an album tour\, yet we hadn’t stepped foot in a studio. Was this foolish? Perhaps. Are we optimists? We must be! As the winds of time flipped the pages of the calendar we began to feel that it would be best to move the shows to early 2027. This way we can put the final touches on our new music and prepare to share it. \n We realize that for some of you this is quite short notice and incredibly inconvenient. For this we truly apologize. We hope that you will still join us in the new year when we can really freak out together to new music. In fact\, how about we start freaking out ASAP? Can’t wait for you to hear. \n And now for the least sexy sentences in rock’n’roll: \n Refunds will be available for 30 days on rescheduled shows after which time tickets will transfer over to the new date. Any total cancellations should be refunded at your point-of-purchase. See you soon soon soon! \n Love and respect.\n Jesse and Sebastien \nDeath From Above 1979 3/19/27 \n \nDFA 1979 soon got to work on assembling what would become Private Lives\, unearthing unused but privately cherished demos and drawing from their history and experience. Grainger reflects\, “When we first started\, making music it was as easy as going down to the basement. It was a physical process. An extension of just hanging out and living together. As the years went by\, the process became more deliberate. The trick is to remember what makes it fun and special. Our band has always been a balance of sweet and sour. Heavy music that’s also tender and playful. We’re really cooking when we lean into those contradictions.” \nThe results are a record brimming with megawatt boldness\, as Grainger’s vocals are more front-and-center than ever before on songs like the cascading anthem “Like My Ex Did” and laser-guided hardcore missile that is “Dreams”. He states: “It wasn’t really until Outrage! Is Now that I began to understand my voice in this band. The goal since then has been maximum freedom. It’s a journey.” Keeler is effusive: “You can really hear the confidence in his voice\, and that inspired me to make more space for him. We used to try and cram everything at all times\, now we can let each other breathe.” \nTour Dates: \n02/02 – Tempe\, AZ @ The Marquee \n02/04 – San Diego\, CA @ Observatory San Diego \n02/05 – Los Angeles\, CA @ The Belasco \n02/06 – Santa Ana\, CA @ Observatory Orange County \n02/09 – Ventura\, CA @ Ventura Music Hall \n02/10 – Sacramento\, CA @ Ace of Spades \n02/11 – San Francisco\, CA @ August Hall \n02/24 – Waterloo\, ON @ Maxwell’s \n02/25 – Toronto\, ON @ HISTORY \n02/26 – London\, ON @ London Music Hall \n02/27 – Ottawa\, ON @ The Bronson \n03/01 – Montreal\, QC @ Theatre Beanfield \n03/02 – Quebec City\, QC @ Imperial Bell \n03/03 – Boston\, MA @ Brighton Music Hall \n03/05 – Brooklyn\, NY @ Warsaw \n03/06 – Philadelphia\, PA @ The Foundry \n03/07 – Washington\, DC @ Howard Theatre \n03/08 – Pittsburgh\, PA @ Thunderbird Music Hall \n03/15 – Denver\, CO @ Gothic Theatre \n03/17 – Chicago\, IL @ Thalia Hall \n03/18 – St Louis\, MO @ Old Rock House \n03/19 – Minneapolis\, MN @ Fine Line \n03/20 – Winnipeg\, MB @ Park Theatre \n03/22 – Red Deer\, AB @ Bo’s Bar & Stage \n03/23 – Edmonton\, AB @ Midway \n03/24 – Calgary\, AB @ Palace Theatre \n03/26 – Vancouver\, BC @ Vogue Theatre \n03/27 – Victoria\, BC @ Capital Ballroom \n03/29 – Portland\, OR @ Revolution Hall \n03/31 – Seattle\, WA @ The Crocodile \nSocial Share\n Share on Add Us (Opens in new window)\n Add Us\n \n Share on Instagram (Opens in new window)\n Instagram\n \n Share on X (Opens in new window)\n X\n \n Share on Bluesky (Opens in new window)\n Bluesky\n \n Share on Facebook (Opens in new window)\n Facebook\n More\n Print (Opens in new window)\n Print\n \n Share on Reddit (Opens in new window)\n Reddit\n \n Email a link to a friend (Opens in new window)\n Email\n \n Share on Pinterest (Opens in new window)\n Pinterest\n \n Share on Tumblr (Opens in new window)\n Tumblr\n \n Share on Threads (Opens in new window)\n Threads\n \n Share on WhatsApp (Opens in new window)\n WhatsApp\n \n Share on LinkedIn (Opens in new window)\n LinkedIn\n \n Share on Mastodon (Opens in new window)\n Mastodon\n \n Share on Telegram (Opens in new window)\n Telegram\n \n Share on Nextdoor (Opens in new window)\n Nextdoor\n Like this:Like Loading…
