John Maus at Green Room

Minnesota’s John Maus is bringing his unique performance on tour in support of Later Than You Think. The singer will stop by the Green Room, in Minneapolis, on September 28, 2025.
We saw Maus in Feb 2019 and said, “In stark contrast to the eight-piece band that started the show, John Maus is a one man performer (with a laptop). Compared to Maus’ previous show at the sold-out Cedar Cultural Club in April 2018, seeing Maus alone on such a large stage wasn’t as compelling (despite his funky, pogo-jumping, intense dance movies and air punches). With a band, they had some improvising elements… but with a laptop, it just felt like a weird Karaoke show. Also, since each background music is perfectly timed, maybe the show actually ended earlier than you would normally expect from a regular rock/pop show.”
