What a year it’s been. We’re closing out the 2025 year with 364 Shows 366 Shows (see full listing). The number may actually be over 365, because I have been known to unintentionally not log some shows or some shows were lost during our transition from TypePad to WordPress in the transitional timeframe of September/October 2025.
Previous years (discounting pandemic years), we were averaging about 230 shows per year, but our goal was always to reach 365 shows. I’m confident that we can continue doing over 365 shows a year, but there may be some struggles from me. As I have previously mentioned, I have relocated to Jacksonville, Florida, and my contribution have plummet, due to lack of concert opportunities and invites. I have taken a look at the overall map of Florida, the key major cities are Orlando and Miami. If a band can only play one or two cities, those are the two. Other cities, such as Destin, Tallahassee, Gainesville, Jacksonville, or Sarasota, are treated like secondary or tertiary cities.
Minneapolis/St Paul are still hopping with concerts, thanks to its lively music scene and support. Between Minneapolis and Chicago, those two cities represent the upper Midwest concert route that most bands start or end (the international airport can take you anywhere).
