FINICK (stylized as FINICK) appears to be a newer, lesser-known indie/folk band from the Minneapolis/Madtown (Madison, WI) area, fronted by singer-songwriter Josie, with twins Ruby (drums) and Adriana (bass). They’re known for “Summer songs & Folk in the cold,” with highlights including an appearance on Mostly Minnesota

FINICK at Girlhood Exhibit Opening, Minnesota History Center (07 Sep 2024)

There’s a new Girlhood (It's complicated) exhibit at the Minnesota History Center, in St Paul, starting from September 7, 2024 and runs through June 1, 2025. Kicking off the exhibit is the Girlhood Exhibit Opening event, with FINICK. Also, outside were sports-orientated teams: Washington Athletics Girls Soccer, MN Girls Baseball Association, and Twin Cities Native Lacrosse.

Elliott Smith Birthday Party at White Squirrel Bar (05 Aug 2024)

It’s gloomy. It’s raining. It’s Monday. Just perfect for celebrating Elliott Smith’s birthday at the White Squirrel Bar, in St Paul, on August 5th. Technically, Smith’s birthday is on August 6, so the party should go on until Midnight to make it official.

St Paul Songwriter Rounds at the White Squirrel Bar (14 July 2024)

The St. Paul Songwriter Rounds is a semi-weekly event held at the White Squirrel Bar, in St Paul. The showcase, hosted by TJD (Taylor), features four or five local singer/songwriters from the Twin Cities area. Each musician is asked a question and then they play a song of their choice. They do this four times (four rounds), so the whole thing is about two hours.

The Wallflowers at Taste of Minnesota (06 July 2024)

It’s been a while since we attended the Taste of Minnesota in Minneapolis (previous events had admission fees or were on a bad weekend for us). Weather was incredible on Saturday, bringing out a ton of fans, ready to eat and enjoy some free music.
