There was an uptick in our XXX, YYY, ZZZ article, so I’m trying to puzzle it out. I’ve come to the conclusion that it was a result of celebrating XXXTentacion’s would-be birthday last week – on January 23 (he would have been 28 years old). The rapper, whose name is often shortened to XXX, passed away in June 18, 2018, at the age of 20. Even in death, XXX’s music still speaks to his fans.

Still, that doesn’t quite explain the ‘yyy and zzz’ portion. There are several songs called “XXXYYYZZZ” (from kyxtx, Youknowme, HAHAHA BRO, and Salli Yueh to name a few), but most of them aren’t that popular (as far as I can tell)… Anyway, in pursuit of the answer, here is an updated XXX YYY ZZZ article for 2026.

In December, New York’s Crumb released their new live album Live! on Crumb Records. The new album arrives on the heels of the release of the live music video for “XXX” filmed at The Wiltern in Los Angeles, California by Gavin Murray and Christian Klein – which got over 1 million views currently on YouTube.

We previously saw the band at Desert Daze in Oct 2019 and wrote, “The group Crumb from New York was a super rad show to see as the sun started to finally give relief over the campgrounds. I believe they mostly played songs from their album Jinx, the song M.R. seeming to be the biggest hit in the crowd. Lila Ramani is hypnotic and a definite stunner, and their music is melodic and super synth-heavy thanks to Brian Aronow. These guys definitely seem to be on the rise and they had just ended a several month tour prior to the festival.”

Minnesota’s YYY (not to be confused with Yeah Yeah Yeahs) just released “M.Night Runner”. YYY is songwriter/producer Austin Carson, and we previously mentioned that he co-headlined with Tedious & Brief in Feb 2022.

Miami-bred artist born Sam Zelaya, aka Zzz. (note the period and not to be confused with video game Zenless Zone Zero or Amsterdam band zZz) released Close Your Eyes & Listen EP last year on Warner Records.
The EP features various collaborators, including Victor Thell, Haan, and RØMANS and had several songs produced by Goldfinger founder John Feldmann, as well as “Love Is Better Blind,” produced by AyoWhit and Scro.
