Fallout is a 1997 role-playing video game developed and published by Interplay Productions, set in a mid-22nd century post-apocalyptic and retro-futuristic world, decades after a global nuclear war led by the United States and China. Fallout’s protagonist, the Vault Dweller, inhabits an underground nuclear shelter.

Fallout Day

October 23, 2077, is the day the bombs fell in Fallout… so we celebrate this day as Fallout Day. This year, Bethesda is hosting a five-day celebration, which kicked off October 19, and ends today (October 23).

I was waiting for something cool to be announced, but nothing really exciting. There’s some updates on Fallout Shelter and Fallout 4, but nothing amazing. In Fallout 76, I guess we are getting pets. I have all the Fallout games, but ’76 is a game that I don’t really play. I’ve dabbled in it, but didn’t get very fall. It’s online-only, and I hate playing with other people.

One of the free expansions requires Fallout Creations is called FEVer Dreams. I don’t really like Creations, because when you download anything from Creations, you lose achievements (since you’re modifying the game). FEVer Dreams came out October 20, 2026, courtesy of Kinggath Creations… and it has the original voice actors reprising their original Fallout 4 roles.

Something has reactivated the military research base known as Camp Jefferson. There you find yourself trapped – unarmed, poisoned, and under the effect of a hallucination inducing FEV strain. The biggest news bomb that dropped today (Oct 23) (excuse the pun) was the announcement of Fallout Shelter: The Experiment, an all-new competition series from Amazon Prime (who already has the one of the most popular television shows Fallout under their belt). The show will air January 13, 2027.

McFarlane Fallout

The last time I spotlighted McFarlane Toys’ Fallout Action Figures was in September when we got announcements for: Nuka Cola Power Armor (Elite Edition), Paladin Danse, and Military Green Power Armor.

Today, they announced: Nick Valentine, NCR Salvaged Power Armor and Scorched Sierra Power Armor. Of course, being a diehard Fallout fan, I want all the Power Armors. To this day, I only own one Power Armor Elite Edition. It looks great, it looks amazing. Not sure if it was worth the $60, but I am very happy with it. Would I like a fleet of Power Armors? Yes, yes, yes. However, the reality is I can’t afford them. They retail $35 each, and if you do the math if you buy them all, it would cost me $235.

For now, I can dream and will keep an eye out for sales or discounts.
