■ XXX YYY ZZZ is a new series from WHM.
xiexie
Tokyo’s xiexie plays a mix of indie, psychedelic pop, jazz improv, and weird alternative music. The four, featuring Meari, Yamato Kouda, Teruyuki Kai, and Kouichi Hida,came on the music scene in 2020. A year later, they released their self-titled EP. Their debut album wellwellwell came out in 2024.
Now with zzz, released late last year, the Japanese band continues pushing their psychedelic and comfortable guitar sound to new levels, along with the vocal stylings of Meari.
