Cole Diamond

Cole Diamond is a five-piece honky tonk band based in Minneapolis, MN. Depending on when you ask, Cole Diamond is either the stage name for singer/songwriter Ryan Otte or the collective handle for Otte and his Band. After years spent behind a drum kit, Otte stepped into the spotlight to front his own project, bringing his love of country music to fans across Minnesota. Since its inception, Cole Diamond has released numerous EPs and singles, earned airplay on stations like 89.3

Something for the Weekend: Palmfest 2025

Announced only a week ago, Palmfest 2025 is taking place this weekend. Just happenstance, I am temporarily in Minneapolis for the recent Minnesota Yacht Club Music Festival and this would be a good way to officially say goodbye to Palmers Bar. As you know with the recent news that the bar will permanently shut down in September 14, 2025.

St Paul Songwriter Rounds at the White Squirrel Bar (14 July 2024)

The St. Paul Songwriter Rounds is a semi-weekly event held at the White Squirrel Bar, in St Paul. The showcase, hosted by TJD (Taylor), features four or five local singer/songwriters from the Twin Cities area. Each musician is asked a question and then they play a song of their choice. They do this four times (four rounds), so the whole thing is about two hours.
