Cat Attack
Cat Attack is a subcategory of WHM’s When Animals Attack series. Covers any band with cat in their names or cat themes.

My last two cats that I raised were two Russian Blues, they were two brothers from the same litter. I love them, and they lived with us for about twenty years, until one of them got cancer on his throat. His brother died about a few years after.
There really wasn’t a good time for another cat in our life, especially during our move to Jacksonville. However, now that we’ve been in Jacksonville for about a year, I think it’s time for a new addition to the family.
We now have a new kitten in our lives. We haven’t named her yet, but we’re leaning towards Mew-mew.
Apple identified the cat as either a Turkish Van or a Snowshoe, but I don’t think the cat is a snowshoe because one of the characteristics of black legs with white paws (hence snowshoes). She’s also a polydactyl – she has an extra tiny finger on her two front paws… so her paw seems really big. The hind legs have normal digits. I’ve read that old sailors thought these cats were lucky and they make great mousers.
As I’m writing this, my cat is sitting in my lap and playing around with my shirt and button. She’s about 6 months old, but she’s a very capable cat and full of energy. She’s very playful and very curious.
We brought the cat home on April 1st, around 9:30pm and we weren’t really prepared to have a new kitten in our lives… So, we made an emergency stop over to Walmart (because they were opened until 11pm) and bought some kitten food and snacks and toys and cat bed and a litter box with kitty litter. I didn’t realize cat supplies were so expensive, but in all, it was about $80.
I’m so glad we got the litter box, because after we set it up, about 20 minutes later, the cat went number one. That was just so cool that cats have this instinct. I was impressed; this was a six-month baby!
Really happy to have a new family member.
