Fallout Season 2 Steelbook

I’m a huge Fallout fan, and thanks to the Amazon’s television show, they’ve made the game more popular than ever. When Fallout: Season 2 came out on Bluray in May 2026, I said that $50 retail price for the Steelbook was too expensive. However, I did add this footnote, “Unless I can get it for $30, I probably won’t bother buying Season 2.”

Well, I guess that time has come: Amazon recently offered Fallout: Season 2 for $30. As a chump that I am, I bought the 4k Steelbook… despite the fact that I have access to stream the show, via Amazon Prime.

Season 2 continues that Fallout story in New Vegas (which many fans considered the best Fallout game), so there were high expectation. Most of the story revolves around Mr House and the mind-controlling chip. There’s other things introduced in the series, like the Deathclaws and Rangers Power armor. I felt the Kyle McLaughlin story was getting long in the tooth, I really hope his story is over now and we don’t have to deal with it in Season 3.

I don’t think it’s as good as Season 1, but it has its moments.

As for the 4k release, it’s pretty much the same as Season 1, it comes with some Fallout artcards and that exclusive steelbook. No special features, such as audio commentaries.

As for Fallout Season 3, it’s currently in production, with filming started a few months ago, for a mid-to-late 2027 release. We have the same returning cast with Ella Purnell as Lucy, Aaron Moten as Maximus, and Walton Goggins as the Ghoul. The exciting news is that Aaron Paul (who is famous for playing Jesse Pinkman from Breaking Bad) will be joining the cast for Season 3. I don’t know if he will be a permanent cast, but I get the feeling that he’s such a big name that it might be a one-and-done appearance for Fallout. If I have to guess, I wouldn’t be surprise to see Aaron Paul as one of the leaders of the Caesar’s Legion faction.
