Mpls: March 27 to March 28, 2026
Here are some shows in Minneapolis/St Paul from March 27 to March 28, 2026: • Mike Doughty at The Cedar Cultural Center (Mar 27 2026) • Cowboy Junkies at The Fitzgerald Theater (Mar 28, 2026) • Westerman at 7th St Entry (Mar 28, 2026)
Mike Doughty from Soul Coughing will be headlining the Cedar Cultural Center, in Minneapolis, on March 27, 2026. Doughty announced that this is a solo tour, but he will be accompanied by Andrew “Scrap” Livingston (of Ghost of Vroom). The two may be playing some Soul Coughing, but will mostly stick to his solo release (as well as his work with Ghost of Vroom).
This show is an evening with Mike Doughty.
Note: This is a SEATED show.
The ticket limit is strict. Any attempt to exceed the posted ticket limit per customer or household, or to game the system in any way, will result in cancellation of orders without notice. There is a transfer delay for all tickets prior to the show.
We saw Mike Doughty in Mar 2019 and wrote, “It’s hard to believe that it’s been 25 years since Soul Coughing released Ruby Vroom. Based on hearing the audience singing along and knowing the album front to back, the album is beloved and hearing the entire album played live is a sight to behold… especially experiencing it with fan’s feedback. You can always tell which songs there the favorites, even for the more obscure tracks. If you love Soul Coughing and their debut album, you definitely need to see Mike Doughty’s on this tour. The Ruby Vroom continues tonight and runs until the end of March.”

Iconic Canadian band Cowboy Junkies will be headlining the historic Fitzgerald Theater, in St Paul, on March 28, 2026.
Note: This event is an “evening with”, meaning there are no opening acts.
Cowboy Junkies will take the stage at 8PM.
The band have been together since 1986, and we’ve been fans since we heard their cover of “Sweet Jane” (it would be many years later did I eventually realized it was a Velvet Underground song). We got to see Cowboy Junkies at the Guthrie Theatre, in Minneapolis, in 2003. If you’re not familiar with the Minneapolis area, this is a performance & theater of the arts building. It’s quite big and contains several stages within the building, so we’ve seen smaller shows like Dar Williams, to medium sized show like Kid Koala, to big shows like the musical production of A Christmas Carol. The big stage features a unique thrust stage design that you can see the entire stage, no matter what seat you were assigned to. It was pretty cool and it was the first time I’ve seen a rock concert with Cowboy Junkies. I remember it was pretty mellow, with the band sitting on chairs, playing a double set (no opening band).
