Dedicated to Dave seeing another Dave, doing “Dave Things”… I present to you, These Are The Daves I know.
These are the Daves I know
We are the Daves he knows he knows
We are the Daves he knows
Some of us are Davids
But most of us are Daves
We all have our own hands
But we come from different mums
These are the Daves I know I know
We are the Daves he knows he knows
These are the Daves!

David Wilcox at the Cedar (April 13, 2026)
David Wilcox
Singer/songwriter David Wilcox will be headlining the Cedar Cultural Center on April 13, 2026, in support of his latest album The Way I Tell the Story. We last mentioned him in January 2026 when he was down in Florida, at St Augustine.
His biography gives a little more detail about his early beginning in the late 1980s:
Wilcox’s career began in earnest in the late 1980s, when his self-released debut The Nightshift Watchman caught the attention of A&M Records. His major-label debut, How Did You Find Me Here (1989), became an unexpected hit, selling over 100,000 copies largely by word of mouth and live shows alone—an unheard-of feat for a debut folk record. Critics took note of his deft guitar work and emotional clarity, but it was the unassuming wisdom threaded through his lyrics that truly set him apart. Rolling Stone praised his “soulful insight,” while The New York Times called his music “a kind of open-hearted therapy.”
What followed was a string of acclaimed albums—Big Horizon (1994), Turning Point (1997), What You Whispered (2000)—each one refining his reputation as a songwriter who knows how to say hard things in soft, lasting ways. Over the years, he’s shared stages and collaborations with artists like Shawn Colvin, Patty Larkin, Pierce Pettis, and John Gorka—fellow craftspeople committed to song over spectacle. But Wilcox has never followed the current. He’s followed the work, and in 2018 Wilcox won top honors in the 23rd annual USA Songwriting for his effervescent “We Make the Way by Walking” from his album, The View From the Edge.
A lot of history … and a lot of stories that can be experienced at his upcoming Cedar show. Peter Mayer to open.

Tracks From the Attic Revisited by David J (May 22, 2026)
David J
British alternative rock musician David J, famous for being the bassist for Bauhaus and Love and Rockets, will be releasing Tracks From the Attic Revisited (available May 22 via Independent Project Records).
The new album, as clued by its title, is a re-imagined, or “re-shaped”, sometime re-written of songs from his 37-track home recording from 2024’s Tracks From the Attic.
Talking about the project, David J said:
The 2024 demos tracks that became Tracks From the Attic were like neglected little seeds that had been set aside, or fallen on fallow land. They’ve since been gathered up, nurtured, tended and brought back to life as little buds for Tracks From the Attic Revisited. Now this is the bloom.

David Hillyard
Long-running New York–based collective David Hillyard & The Rocksteady 7 is back with Home For Dinner, the album operating at the crossroads of Jamaican rhythm and jazz tradition. I love that 70s-inspired cover artwork!
Formed in 1992 by saxophonist David Hillyard, best known for his work with The Slackers, the group has spent decades refining a sound built on deep groove, melodic sophistication, and the communal spirit of classic ska.
The new album Home For Dinner was co-produced and mixed by Roger Rivas (The Aggrolites) and features contributions and guest vocalists Chris Murray, BNegão, and Felipe Machado; keyboard work from Rivas, Vic Ruggiero, and Mike Sarason; and backing vocals from Chiquis Lozoya and the late Greg Lee.

David Byrne
We caught Byrne in May 2018 and wrote, “Byrne remains in fine shape and voice, staying active with gesturing movements for most of the set and having no problems re-creating the melodies of songs, some over forty years old. “Everything you hear is being played by these incredible musicians” Byrne reminded us, dispelling any myths of backing tracks or pre-recordings, with Milwaukee guitarist Angie Swan particularly standing out on several songs.”

High Moon Records is proud to release David Forman’s long-lost album Who You Been Talking To on CD and LP. Originally the album was recorded for Arista Records in Los Angeles in 1977, but the record was never released. As part of the special treatment for the album, it came with extensive liner notes by acclaimed journalist Joe Hagan, featuring exclusive interviews with David Forman, Aaron Neville, Jim Keltner, songwriting partner David Levine, and other collaborators. The package also includes rare photographs by legendary downtown New York photographer Peter Hujar (whose other subjects included Susan Sontag, William Burroughs, and Candy Darling), along with never-before-seen memorabilia from Forman’s extraordinary life.

Feel It by D4vd (Mar 28, 2024)
D4vd
David Burke, otherwise known as D4vd, was (and is) in the news for a dead 14-year-old girl in the trunk of his car. After D4vd headlined the Fillmore in Minneapolis, on Sep 9, 2025, the remainder of his tour was cancelled due to investigations.
While the cause of the girl (Celeste Rivas Hernandez) is still not known, due to the advanced decomposition, it is clear to me that the two of them knew each other and was probably boyfriend/girlfriends (with all the evidence such as matching tattoos and her parents mentioning that she had a boyfriend named David). We don’t know how or why she died, but the fact that the car parked with the body in July (with her body being discovered in September), it sounded like D4vd was aware of the death and was covering it up.
It’s all a bit obvious to me, and although there were no criminal charges filed – I’m almost certain he will be charged very soon.
Recently TMZ posted a story about a falling out with former friend Neo:
And then the 23-year-old streamer [Neo] drops the hammer — “I told so many people that I trust and I thought knew me as a person my side of things, all for that to be thrown out the fkin window as soon as I get arrested and they slap that di*kheads name next to mine.”
