Insight Brewing Company’s annual “Ales for ALS Beer Release Party” took place on Saturday, September 7, 2024.

To raise money for charity, the brewery was donating money from beer, with silence auction, raffles, and “Ice Bucket Dunk Tank”, as well as Hippo Campus (who were in the audience) donating money made from their merch at the brewery.

The turnout was very good, lots of folks and their family, drinking and playing board games… of course, there was music, organized by the brewery: Lisa Deguiseppi, Surge and the Swell, FINICK, and Luke Lynell.

Country/Americana musician Luke Lynell closed out the Ales for ALS Beer Release Party.

Unfortunately, due to attending an earlier event, we only made it to see FINICK.

The set is different from earlier in the day, adding in “Liar Liar” and a cover of Brandi Carlile’s “Turpentine”… but keeping her sea-song “Captain Tory” (from the latest two-track single).

Towards the end of her set, her mother put sunglasses on FINICK, before she plays her forthcoming single, “Selfish.” We previously mentioned the song was recorded as an electric song, but without a full band, she has to play it acoustic style. The single is coming out October 4, 2024.

And as usual, the song finale is “Third Time’s the Charm”.
