Skybombers

Skybombers are a hot new rock band from Melbourne, Australia. If their debut single, Sirens (on sale on iTunes on February 26th), is any indication of how good these guys are, then I can’t wait to hear more from these guys!

Straight out of high school, these four guys decided on being in a band full time. They had a collection of demos that they used to land a deal with Alberts Production (the same company that signed AC/DC).

After releasing Sirens EP in Australia, the import single did really well for them on American Alternative radio (including Los Angelese’s Indie 103.1).

Between the five songs on the EP, I thought the first two songs (“It Goes Off” and “6 AM”) are burst full of energy, and I’m sure a crowd pleaser if they play these live. The mellowest song, “So Come With Me”, came in the middle, which is a nice break… before “Revolution” (with a nice military marching beat) and “Russian Roulette” ends the EP, rocking all the way.

Well, in an effort to support their digital single, it looks like they going to do a major tour in support for punk band X (which I actually didn’t know they were still together!) throughout March and early April. They are supposed to be amazing live, so catch them on tour if you’re able!
