April 1st is known as April Fools’ Day… and yes, we are fools for music.
Here are some shows happening in Minneapolis on April 1st. We are covering four shows that night. Two are listed below, in addition to Little Green Cars at 7th Street Entry and Thao and the Get Down Stay Down.

One of the hottest tickets to get is Alt-J at the very sold out show at the Varsity Theater on April 1st. If you weren’t lucky/fast enough to secure a ticket for next week’s show – you have a second chance this September 7th! That’s a long time from now, but the band will appear at a larger venue at First Avenue. Expect to hear them talk about Prince when they play the main room.
Anyway, you may remember how I saw Alt-J at Triple Rock in 2012, and noted that they were the best band in all the Mercury Prize nominees. And as predicted, they took home the prize last November.
So, find out what all the buzz is all about, check them out on tour now:

Since I already mentioned Sky Ferreira, I will focus on How to Dress Well. The two are doing a double-headliner tour, and yes, they are stopping by Triple Rock Social Club on April 1st.
You may remember how I saw Tom Krell (otherwise known as How to Dress Well) at 7th Street Entry last year and said that he sings in falsetto.
