Maggie Rose

Acclaimed singer-songwriter Maggie Rose is touring in support of her forthcoming album Half Moon, due August 14 on One Riot Records.

We saw Maggie Rose in Aug 2020 and wrote, “Maggie Rose opened the evening with her band in an all-too brief set. Based out of Nashville, the songs tended to have a Southern Soul vibe with a little bit of Country. She has quite the dynamic voice with a range that harkens Aretha Franklin more than Patsy Cline. She had no problem filling the Palace Theater with ballads like “Saint” and “It’s You”, finishing with the anthem-like “What Are We Fighting For?” from her latest album Have a Seat.”

Frankie Rose

Former Dum Dum Girls and Vivian Girls member Frankie Rose is back with Hila (available September 18, 2026, via Born Losers / Night School). The new album was self-produced at her home studio featuring collaborations with drummer Justin Welch (Elastica/Lush), following extensive touring with The Jesus & Mary Chain and Swervedriver.

We saw Frankie Rose, with JAMC, in Oct 2024 and wrote, “We’ve seen Rose many times, with the first at 7th Street Entry in April 2012, then as Franz Ferdinand guest at the Skyway Theatre in Oct 2013, and, most recently at the Turf Club in May 2023: “And it has been over six years since she last released an album. She actually completed one close to three years ago, but due to the pandemic and being a victim to vinyl production backlogs, she is finally on the road promoting Love as Projection, which The Big Takeover Magazine thought could be part of the Stranger Things soundtrack. It is a retro love letter to the type of electronic pop that would find a home in any John Hughes movie.” Rose is joined by a guitarist and bassist, the latter is Matthew Hord of Running, Fine Place, and Gift Horse. Since Frankie Rose’s latest is called Love As Projection, the band did play in near-darkness in front of a projection (a similar setup from her previous appearance). In addition to playing some tracks from the new album (“DOA” and “Sixteen Ways”), the band also played a few from their debut album, Interstellar, which got an extended reissue in September 2024.”

Alessi Rose

Rising pop artist Alessi Rose recently shared “Dependent”, available now on Capitol Records.

Rose said, “When I love someone it often feels like it’s life or death; like one wrong move and everything comes crashing down as if they are the single domino holding up every little piece of my life, and to have them fall would be catastrophe. I wrote this song at a point where I felt like I needed to be acting against my dependence. I wanted to isolate from everyone that holds me up just to prove that I could do it and be as independent as possible just to say that I am, even if it directly opposed what I wanted and needed at that moment.”

Sydney Rose

Georgia-born and Nashville-based singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Sydney Rose recently collaborated with 20-year-old Nashville-based singer-songwriter Hudson Ingram for “Don’t Get Me Started”. The song is available now on Long Pond Music / Interscope Records, through a joint venture with Aaron Dessner. The duet, “Don’t Get Me Started”, was originally available on Hudson’s EP The Long Way Home (Vol. 1).

Meanwhile Sydney Rose’s latest single “Track Team”, came out a few weeks ago (July 10, 2026) via Mercury Records… and she’ll be heading out on tour with Mon Rovia

Jessica Rose Weiss

Composer Jessica Rose Weiss’ released Girls Like Girls Original Motion Picture Score via Back Lot Music earlier this month. Girls Like Girls is a heartfelt coming-of-age story set over the course of one sun-drenched summer, where new-girl-in-town Coley falls in love for the first time while learning to accept herself along the way. A compilation soundtrack featuring new music by Kiyoko is also available via One Riot Music.

Anabel Rose

The Filipino-Ghanaian alt-pop artist Anabel Rose released “Imperfect Daughters” earlier this year, followed by “Blasé”.

“Blasé” was produced by Insvne Auggie and is described as “an infectious blend of electronic dance music, alternative pop, and Afro-inspired production, Blasé showcases Anabel’s ability to move fluidly across genres while maintaining the emotional honesty that has become central to her songwriting. Playful, stylish, and rhythmically adventurous, the single highlights the range that continues to define her evolving sound.”

Anabel Rose came to fame with her music being added to Apple Music’s Best Songs of 2025 for “How I Want It”.

“Blasé” will be included in the forthcoming EP, due out this Summer.

Stefan Rose

American-born, Europe-raised artist Stefan Rose is releasing “Closing In” on July 31, 2026, via U.S.-based label Music is 4 Lovers.
