As Minnesota’s legal cannabis market begins to take shape, one of the nation’s largest and longest-running cannabis industry events is bringing the conversation—and the opportunity—directly to Minneapolis.

The NECANN Minnesota Cannabis Convention will take place May 14–15, 2026 at the Minneapolis Convention Center, marking the organization’s first-ever event in the state and a key milestone for Minnesota’s emerging cannabis ecosystem.

For two days, the convention will transform the venue into a hub of education, networking, and discovery—welcoming cannabis industry professionals, retailers, entrepreneurs, adjacent brands, and the canna-curious public looking to better understand what’s next.

Event Highlights Include:

Direct access to 120+ exhibiting companies showcasing the latest products, services, and innovations
Educational sessions with over 60 expert speakers delivering facts, trends, and practical information tailored to Minnesota’s unique market opportunities
High-value B2B networking with thousands of industry professionals
Focused programming tracks covering retail & brands, science & technology, regulations, marketing, business, and finance
Opportunities to build partnerships and explore growth strategies in a rapidly developing market

“We are thrilled to announce our first-ever cannabis convention in Minnesota,” said Marc Shepard, Founder and President of NECANN. “We invite industry leaders, entrepreneurs, and professionals to join us for a powerful two days of education, exploration, and community building. This is a unique opportunity to connect with experts, discover new products and services, and help shape the future of Minnesota’s cannabis market.”

Having successfully produced 52 events that have drawn over 150,000 attendees across multiple markets since 2014, NECANN is partnering with local cannabis leaders from Legacy Cup, Minnesota Women’s Cannabis Collective, North Bloom magazine, and the Minnesota Craft Cannabis Guild to bring its proven formula of education, networking, and business connections to Minnesota.

While the event is rooted in industry expertise, NECANN Minnesota is intentionally designed to be approachable and informative for newcomers, offering a welcoming entry point for those looking to engage with the space for the first time.

As Minnesota’s cannabis market continues to develop, NECANN’s arrival signals a key milestone—bringing together the people, ideas, and momentum driving the industry forward.
