The Psychedelic Furs

The Psychedelic Furs, famously lead by the Butler brothers, Richard & Tim, broke up in the early 90s to form Love Spit Love. By 2001, the old gang got back together as The Psychedelic Furs. …
Like their band name may infer, Phoenix-based The Technicolors offer music that draws from a wide spectrum of influences, while sounding very much their own. Take the 90s Brit-rock movement of bands like Oasis and mix with the classic-rock acoustic edge of a Led Zeppelin III, and that just begins to describe the young quartet, led by singer Brennan Smiley and rounded out by Mike “Nico” Nicolette (bass), Mikey Fanizza (guitar) and Kevin Prociw (drums).

In support of their latest release, last year’s Listener (Elevation/Tallest Man Records), the band has gained a steady following after successful runs at SXSW and Los Angeles’ Hotel Café and has embarked on another run of tour dates, both headlining and also as support for alt-rock legends The Psychedelic Furs.

Expect a lively show in concert and perhaps an innovative cover version or two, as they included their take on Chris Isaak’s ‘Wicked Game’ on their latest release, after fans continued to respond well and demand the song after debuting it as part of their live set.
