The girl just wants to have fun… Cyndi Lauper‘s annual star-studded “Home for the Holidays” benefit concert (now in its fourth year) is taking place this Saturday, December 6, 2014, in NYC’s legendary Beacon Theatre.

The True Colors Fund works to raise awareness about, and help bring an end to lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender youth homelessness.

“When I first learned that up to 40 percent of all homeless youth in this country identify as gay, lesbian, bisexual or transgender I was shocked and saddened,” remarked Lauper, co-founder of the True Colors Fund. “For far too long homeless youth have not received the attention, resources and funding necessary to bring an end to this epidemic. My hope is that through this inspiring evening of music and comedy we can raise awareness and much needed funds to help these young people.”

Rufus Wainwright

A Rufus Wainwright cover song. The story behind that is pretty funny, as were all her little stories, but apparently Wainwright dismissed himself from Megan’s company by stating, “excuse me, but I have to pee, from my penis.” …
