Legendary shoegazing band Ride will be headlining Mill City Nights next Tuesday, September 29th. After the British band broke up in 1996, founding band member Andy Bell went on to play bass for Oasis. Of course, Oasis broke up and Bell moved to Beady Eye (basically Oasis without Noel Gallagher), but we ultimately know what happened to Beady Eye….

So this is really the perfect time for Ride to reunite! Fans who never caught the band in the 90s will finally get a chance to hear Ride live next Tuesday.

Besnard Lakes to open. We previously caught the Montreal band at Triple Rock in 2013, when they were touring in support of Until In Excess, Imperceptible UFO (Jagjaguwar).

We caught Stereolab’s Lætitia Sadier on tour in 2012 at the defunct 400 Bar. Recently, we were lucky enough to have caught her with Helado Nego in March 2015… but she didn’t do any of her songs.

That’s about to change, as Sadier will be headlining Icehouse next Tuesday with Deradoorian.

We’ve seen Angel Deradoorian a few times now. She recently released her solo debut album The Expanding Flower Planet on Anticon Records. As we previously mentioned, the former former bassist and vocalist for Dirty Projectors has been compared to Björk.
