Wild Child at 7th Street Entry, Minneapolis (05 July 2016)

The ‘wild, wild’ tour just took place last night at the 7th Street Entry with Austin’s Wild Child (not to be confused with rapper Wildchild or Brazil’s hard rock band Wild Child or local punk band Wild Child) as headliner.
We’ve previously mentioned that opener The Wild Reeds recently released a new three-song EP called Best Wishes.
Wild Child is a large Americana/indie band featuring singer/violinist Kelsey Wilson, vocalist/baritone ukulele Alexander Beggins, keys Evan Magers, cellist Sadie Wolfe, percussionist Tom Myers, bassist Chris D’Annunzio, and trumpeter Matt Bradshaw.
The band was last seen in Minneapolis last October 2015 when they were headlining in support of third album Fools (Dualtone).
The turnout was pretty good for a Tuesday night (especially after the holiday), and they ended strong with set closer ‘Fools’. The passionate fans (many of them with war paint on their faces and singing along) waited around for the encore, which they were rewarded with ‘Left Behind’ and ‘Bad Girl’.
