So The World May Hear

Saint Paul’s Rivercentre rolls out the Hollywood-style red carpet this Sunday for one of the most anticipated events of the year, The Starkey Hearing Foundation 18th Annual Awards Gala.

The So The World May Hear Awards Gala is one of the most acclaimed fundraising events in the country and the evening will not only inspire with thought-provoking honorees and must-see performers, but will also celebrate those who accelerate Starkey Hearing Foundation’s mission to provide more hearing aids, raise more awareness, and connect more people with their families and communities.

This year’s honorees include Lin-Manuel Miranda (Composer, lyricist & actor); Shep Gordon (Award-winning producer, chef & philanthropist); Dr. Timothy P. Shriver (Chairman of Special Olympics); Ehsan & Fatema Laya Bayat (Bayat Foundation); and Paul Williams (Composer, singer, songwriter & philanthropist).

The evening’s entertainment, hosted once more by emcee/comedian Sinbad, will also include exclusive performances by Gloria Gaynor (Grammy award-winning artist and disco queen); Alice Cooper (shock-rock pioneering singer, songwriter); The Tenors (international vocal group); Darci Lynne Farmer (Winner of Season 12 of America’s Got Talent) as well as other surprises.

The gala itself is anticipated to generate more than $9 million, which will accelerate the pace and scope of Starkey Hearing Foundation missions and locally. Proceeds will also support grants for local and regional nonprofits.

Numerous other local and international celebrities are expected to appear as well and we’ll be there to document the fun and very worthwhile evening.

A public area outside the Rivercentre is available to view the Red Carpet arrivals as well.

Limited availability for the Gala remains, with ticket and participation opportunities available here: starkeyhearingfoundation.org/gala
