Don’t worry about the future of Big Thief, as they’re about to release their sophomore album Capacity on June 9th on Saddle Creek. In the meantime, the band’s singer/songwriter, Adrianne Lenker will be headlining a solo tour this Winter…. stopping by the Cedar Cultural Center on February 21st.
We saw Big Thief in July 2016 and mentioned, “Although shy, distant, and often staring at her feet, when not singing, Lenker did share some personal things about herself – for example, bassist Jack Stanek (Victor’s Door) is actually Lenker’s step brother. Or that Big Thief’s secret band member is called “Martha”, an oregano plant.”
Interestingly enough, Here We Go Magic’s lead man, Luke Temple will open. We haven’t seen Temple since Nov 2014 … so it’s been a while.
