We reported on the sad passing of local music legend Ed Ackerson in October 2019. We talked about how we saw his band Polara in 1995, and was excited to be present for BNLX’s very first show at Sauce in March 2010.
There is a celebration / benefit show at First Avenue this February 10th, featuring rock legends The Jayhawks and many other bands.

Show up early to check out Toxic Holocaust. We saw the band in Oct 2019 and said, “Up next was Portland’s Toxic Holocaust. The band looks and plays thrash metal, originally formed in 1999 by singer and songwriter Joel Grind. Currently, the band features drummer Tyler Becker and guitarist Robert Gray (both joining a few years ago).”
