Southern Californian rock/hip-hop/pop hybrid Emblem3 (brothers Keaton & Wesley Stromberg and childhood best friend Drew Chadwick) are headlining 7th Street Entry this November 7th.

We saw the band in Nov 2013 and noted, “Pop band Emblem3’s entrance was a lot of fun, they burst out of custom crate set with “Girl Next Door”, from their debut album Nothing to Lose. The ‘3’ in Emblem3 stands for the three singers: two brothers, Wesley and Keaton Stromberg, and their best friend Drew Chadwick. On last night’s show, the band left off their Rihanna cover, possibly due to Wes not feeling well because of his flu.”

Deer Tick

It’s been a very long time since we saw Deer Tick. The band is on tour in support of their latest album Emotional Contracts, available on ATO Records.

We saw first saw Deer Tick in April 2010 and said, “They did two encores, but as a special bonus, Nikki Darlin joined Deer Tick on stage (see photo) to sing a duet for a third encore song. I didn’t quite catch the song title, but as I understand it, the song was written by John and Nikki. Overall, a fun-filled evening and you leave the venue smelling like whiskey.”

Canadian singer/songwriter Loreena McKennitt is back in Minneapolis. McKennitt is known for her refined and clear soprano vocals and has sold more than 14 million records worldwide.

It appears that the show is in celebration of her 1991 album The Visit… the show is entitled The Visit Revisited.

Alternative psych-rock band Meltt is touring in support of their new album Eternal Embers, available on Nettwerk.

Jamie of Meltt shares, “We want you to go on a journey with this album. Even though we deal with darker themes, it ends on a positive note. I’d like for you to have this big cinematic ride, but end in a positive place. There’s always light at the end.”
