It’s early in the year, so it doesn’t bode well that Morrissey cancelled his “You Are The Quarry” 20th Anniversary shows in Anaheim and Inglewood, with She Wants Revenge as support.

The ambiguous “unforeseen circumstances” excuse was given for the cancellations.

I suspect it is because Morrissey, and his band, is not ready to play the album in its entirety (as promised last month when they made the announcement).

Or maybe Morrissey is stricken with sadness over the death of Melanie … or maybe Moz is celebrating The Smiths’ music being played at a Donald Trump rally? Who knows?

Update 01/26/2024: It appears the entire South American tour is also cancelled due to physical exhaustion. Already some venues are issuing cancellation notices, such as Buenos Aires.

Morrissey is receiving medical supervision for physical exhaustion. He has been ordered to rest for two weeks, and he will remain in Zurich.
