Local favorites Heart to Gold is having an album release show for Free Help.

We saw Heart to Gold in June 2024 and said, “Next up was local favorites Heart to Gold. We’ve previously seen the band at their sold-out show in Dec 2022 and wrote, “Now, on to the stars of the show, Heart to Gold. I’ve been wanting to see a local band pull off a mosh pit with ease. A sold-out show at the 7th Street Entry with rabid/die-hard fans causing quite the scene and crowd participation. They even had a ring leader of the mosh that would climb on the pipes on the ceiling and surf back into the crowd. Fans would climb on stage and jump right in for crowd surfing, including the bandmates from Gramma on the encore.””

The incredibly popular Wilco will be doing a three-night residency at the Palace Theatre, in St Paul, from December 13 to December 15, 2024. The band released Hot Sun Cool Shroud EP, earlier in June, via dBpm Records.

We saw Wilco in Aug 2016 and said, “Wilco (Jeff Tweedy, John Stirratt, Glenn Kotche, Mikael Jorgensen, Nels Cline, and Pat Sansone) has quite the fanbase in Minneapolis, the turnout was incredible for this Chicago band. Even singer / guitarist Jeff Tweedy had to comment about the great turnout, “Minneapolis, we were just here. We love it here, and we are going to come back every 13 months, whether you want us or not. This feels like a hometown gig!” Tweedy was referring to their headlining appearance at the Basilica Block Party in Minneapolis in July 2015, exactly 13 months ago. Wilco’s current ninth studio album is the oddly-named Star Wars album… the record has nothing to do with the George Lucas creation. The record was given away for free on their website, but fans still pre-ordered the CD (and eventual vinyl version).”

Local musician anni xo is headlining the 7th Street Entry this December 18, 2024.

We saw anni xo in Aug 2024 and said, “With their laidback sound and easy voice, Anni XO had quite a fervent group of children dancing in front of the stage. I think going to parks for kids is the equivalent of Daytona Beach for college students, meaning riotous fun. One girl tried to climb on stage, and a father had to be fast on his feet when his son darted up the stairs to join the band.”

HEY GUYS mark your calendars for 12/18 because the anni xo crew will be headlining 7th STREET ENTRY (@firstavenue)!!!! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️i’ve loved 7th street for as long as I can remember and it is quite a personal milestone to be playing such an iconic local venue. weeping but it’s fine. little me would be proud!!

the night will open with tunes from the lovely @annadev1ne, @thepennypeaches, and @dillydallyalleymusic 🙂 so excited for an evening of incredible music & new pals!
