Annie DiRusso
with Daffo
at Fine Line
first-avenue.com
Nashville’s Annie DiRusso is touring in support of her debut album Super Pedestrian… stopping by the Fine Line, in Minneapolis, on June 7th, 2025.
Annie DiRusso at the Bottleneck (24 Mar 2025)
|
We last saw Annie DiRusso in Mar 2025 and wrote, “With just one debut album, “Super Pedestrian” (via her own Summer Soup Songs [ADA]) under her belt, singer-songwriter Annie DiRusso charged ahead on the first show of her “Back in Town Tour” with a generous and fun eighty-five minute performance, that might be hard to top, as the tour rolls on. The record was produced by Caleb Wright (Hippocampus, Samia, so there’s the connection with the opener) and follows 2023’s breakthrough EP, “God, I Hate This Place”, and two years on the road, headlining and opening for Haim and beabadoobee.”
Show up early to check out Daffo, the moniker of Brooklyn-based artist Gabi Gamberg. Gamberg’s new single “Quick Fix” is described as, “about the temporary ways in which I comfort myself, habits that ultimately lead to more suffering.” Gamberg continues, “I started the song before I went on my first tour. The first verse, about eating junk and smoking, I squeezed out during a very intense writer’s block. On tour, I quit smoking for my voice. When I came back from tour I still couldn’t write, until one day I started smoking again. That day I was able to finish the song, my slight regression became fuel for the rest of the words.”
Note: There is a strict 4 ticket limit. Any attempt to exceed the ticket limit of 4 per customer or household, or to game the system in any way, will result in cancellation of orders without notice. There is a transfer delay for all tickets up to ONE MONTH prior to show.
