Minneapolis favorites Kiss the Tiger is kicking off their national tour with a local show at the Icehouse, on September 11, 2025. The band’s new album Infinite Love is out now.

Kiss the Tiger at Palace Theatre (Oct 5, 2023)

We saw Kiss the Tiger in Oct 2023, and wrote, “Opening the show was local band Kiss the Tiger, who said they’ve never played the Palace before, and they were really impressed with the (“old but new”) venue. We were at the Palace open house in December 2016 and wrote, “Downtown St. Paul will add another jewel to its cultural crown soon and what’s old is new again as the Palace Theatre is soon to re-open, for the first time since 1984, on 7th Place, a pedestrian-only block in the heart of the city center.” Kiss the Tiger is fronted by dynamic lead singer Meghan Kreidler, with rhythm guitarist Michael Anderson, guitarist Bridger Fruth, bassist Paul DeLong, and drummer Jay DeHut.”

PaviElle French at First Ave (July 31, 2015)

PaviElle (PaviElle French) to open.

We did see PaviElle in July 2015, as part of an all-star cast for Secret Stash Records, featuring the late, great Sonny Knight: “Everyone performing was having a great time, first with Sonny Knight singing “Caveman”, then introduced Wanda Davis (who needed assistance coming on and off the stage) for “Take Care”… Davis then introduced PaviElle French, etc. By the time Maurice Jacox, and later, Cameron Kinghorn, this suddenly became a great variety soul music showcase. Everyone had their deserving moment in the spotlight.”

P.S. If you just want to check out Kiss the Tiger for free, they are playing Lowertown Sounds on August 7, 2025. Hopefully it doesn’t rain!

Get Back: Rooftop Rewind at Graze Food Hall (Sep 14, 2025)
Sep 14, 2025 Sunday
Get Back: Rooftop Rewind
at Graze Food Hall by Travail

grazenorthloop.com

Before The Beatles remastered all their albums and re-released them in 09/09/2009, and then digital (on iTunes) in 2010… I got my hands on The Beatles’ infamous rooftop concert bootleg. That was an unofficial recording of the band’s final public concert performance on January 30th, 1969.

For the Get Back: Rooftop Rewind event on September 14, 2025, at Graze Food Hall by Travail, they hope to recreate and reimagine the Beatles’ final concert with the Beatles cover band Dig a Pony Club (led by Al Church). Let’s hope they don’t recreate everything, as the original concert was ended early when police arrived and shut down the whole thing due to noise complaints!

Although the show is free to the public, you can pay for VIP Backstage Pass of $100, which includes various perks like valet parking and drink tokens, etc.

Also, there’ll be a record swap:

Bring your favorite records, discover new gems, and trade with fellow music lovers. Whether you’re looking to complete your Beatles collection, swap that duplicate you’ve been holding onto, or just browse the crates, our rooftop vinyl swap is all about sharing music, stories, and good vibes. All genres welcome, because great records are meant to be played and passed along.

If your band is coming to the Minneapolis/St Paul area, please email details to vu@weheartmusic.com with a good lead time. Thank you.
