World of Nations Celebration
February 28 and March 1, 2026
Ford on Bay, Jacksonville

Taking place this weekend (Saturday Feb 28 and Sunday March 1) in Downtown Jacksonville, is World of Nations Celebration. The festival will celebrate cultures, music, and food of 29 countries. This event is a ticketed event, which is reasonably priced at $9 if purchased in advance. Day-of ticket will be more. This is the kind of cool festival that I wouldn’t mind bringing my family to – but unfortunately, they’ve all returned back to Minneapolis earlier this week. If they had stayed another week, you bet you can find me at this interesting gathering.

New for 2026: Orbit’s Exploration at World of Nations, presented by Community First Credit Union. This is a family-friendly experience offered to guests of all ages to explore the celebration in a fun and interactive way as they journey through the event.

02:10pm – Philippines
02:55pm – India

Philadelphia-bred singer-songwriter Dave Hause and his band The Mermaid will be at the Turf Club, in St Paul, on Saturday, February 28, 2026. We last heard Hause’s seventh solo album …And the Mermaid is out now on Blood Harmony Records. The album was recorded at Rain City Recorders in Vancouver, BC by Jesse Gander (Japandroids, White Lung).
We saw Dave Hause and the Mermaid in July 2019 and wrote, “American singer-songwriter Dave Hause (billed as the band Dave Hause& The Mermaid) opened the show with a 40-min set. Near the end of their set, Hause mentioned, “we usually play over there” (pointing to the 7th Street Entry), and continued, “this room is nice as sh**!” The dancefloor was pretty packed when Hause and company launched into “Eye Aye I”, singing “Now I do what I’m told, I used to bold, I used to bold.” For “Dirty F**ker”, they dedicated the song to “that guy sitting in the White House.””.
Hause’s “Cellmate” William Elliott Whitmore is also on the bill, with Special Guest Adeem the Artist.
