So, once again, the dreaded V-Day is upon us.

MARNIE STERN

facebook.com/marniestern

Kill Rock Stars is offering an all-expense paid date (* must live in New York) with Marne Stern on March 19th. The deadline to submit your entries is March 1st. Marnie's ideal man is a homebody who doesn't mind that his girlfriend is out of town on tour a lot, and is not a drug addict, a slacker, or a vegan… outside of that, age, religion, and race are not a factor.

Since Marnie doesn't pick the winner, you have to "charm the metaphorical pants off" the publicist and record label.

Here's more details at killrockstars.com:

Hipster guys, are you tired of seeing Marnie Stern have relationships with an endless array of losers and bores? Don’t you think a guitarist as great as Marnie should have someone special to watch Law and Order SVU with? Do you enjoy petting dogs while eating chicken wings? And honestly, don’t you think a nice, positively cute, 30-something Jewish girl should meet the man of her dreams? We sure do!

If you live in the New York City area (no long-distance beaus please) and are not a total creep/stalker (we will KNOW if you are), please send an email with your answers to the application questions below, your favorite Marnie song, and a recent photo of yourself. Marnie’s record label will pay for this date, but you’re paying for the next one!

Please email all applications to datemarnieonreleasedate[at]gmail.com

Are you gainfully employed? Elaborate.
When/how long was your last relationship?
What are your hobbies/interests?
What qualities do you most enjoy in a woman?
List any anti-depressants you currently take:
What do you know about Marnie and why do you want to date her?
What would your most recent ex-girlfriend say about you? Can we get her email?
Where would you take Marnie on a first date and why?

That question about the ex-gf is uncomfortable, in my opinion.

CHARLES BRADLEY

thecharlesbradley.com

You may remember hearing about Megan's concert review of Charles Bradley, describing him as "[harboring] so much soul that it’s taken up every square inch of his body and bursts out of his lungs. His howling “oohs” and shrieking “ahhs” are present throughout every one of his songs."

Bradley's Valentine's Day single, "Strictly Reserved For You" is out now. The song is taken from his new album, Victim of Love, due out April 2nd on Daptone Records imprint Dunham Records.

Bradley is also dipping on the "internets" by asking fans to tweet their love with hashtag #StrictlyReserved4U and use the fully customized Urturn e-card to send songs to their sweethearts.

AIN'T NO LOVE

aintnolove.com

Ain't No Love are MCs "1990" and "Beanz", vocalist Saidah Conrad, and producer Liam Clarke. I believe they are from Canada.

Their second EP, Tears of Joy is out now and is said to be dreamy pop sound mixed with an 80s dance vibe. Think Ryan Gosling in the movie "Drive" and you get the idea.

Ain't No Love is in the middle of their tour:

02/14 – Tears of Joy EP release nationally
02/15 – Santos Party House, NYC
02/17 – Black Box Theatre, Toronto
