Crow44’s biography is cryptic. Something about vampires and the internet? It’s pretty nonsense. The only useful thing I can find is that Crow44 is the stagename for Desmond Pierce from North Yorkshire.
His self-titled album was released yesterday (February 12th), but I could not find evidence of it on his CDBaby page… which lists nearly 28 albums and singles, but nothing for Crow44. I had to actually did a bit of sorting by release dates on Amazon.com to find it.
Apparently, if you had to get one Crow44 album, it would be Crow44, because it compiles his greatest “hits” (his favorite tracks). Look for Crow44 from Stones Throw Records.

Art Vandelay is a duo (singer Ricky Pharoe and producer Mack Formway) from Seattle. Their album Eye 8 The Crow (I ate the crow?) is coming out April 2nd, 2013. Seattle Weekly compared the band to Ghostface Killah and Louis Armstrong: “Formway builds thick, layered compositions from distorted low end, electric guitar riffs, muted high-hats, and idiosyncratic vocal samples from the likes of Ghostface Killah, Louis Armstrong and, of course, characters from Seinfeld.
