THE HIGH WIRE

London's The High Wire has a new single called LNOE, which just came out last week (July 29th) along with a music video starring Ray Winstone and directed by Mat Whitecross. You can watch it on YouTube.

As for the song, LNOE is said to borrow its inspiration from pop and R&B as from shoegaze and psychedelia.


MORCHEEBA

British band Morcheeba is returning with their eight studio album Head Up High
this October 15th on [PIAS] America. This is the follow-up to their 2010's Blood Like Lemonade.

No touring information given, but I am assuming the classic band lineup (Skye Edwards and Paul & Ross Godfrey) will be out on tour this year to promote the album.

High Cotton: A Tribute to Alabama
is the compilation and celebration of the the 40th anniversary of Country Music supergroup Alabama. It is coming out September 17th on Lightning Rod Records.

In addition to the various artists asked to cover Alabama songs (JD McPherson, Old Crow Medicine Show, Bob Schneider, Lucero, etc.), a select number of artists will appear live to pay tribute on Saturday, September 21st at Grimey's New and Preloved Music in Nashville, Tennessee as part of Americanarama.
