The Voice star and YouTube sensation 22-year-old singer Christina Grimmie was murdered last night, during an autograph signing at The Plaza Live in Orlando, Florida.
Grimmie’s brother Mark Grimmie (from the band Before You Exit) immediately tackled the unidentified gunman, who then shot and killed himself during the struggle.
We previously caught Grimmie as opener to Selena Gomez in 2013.
Although young 19 years old at the time, we wrote that she knew “know how to perform and work the crowd, particularly getting the audience to help her with ‘Absolutely Final Goodbye.’”
A gofundme.com was setup by her management team to give to the family during this trying time.
