THE DECEMBERISTS
+ Gaelynn Lea
Palace Theatre
Fri 04/06/2018 (7pm/$39.50)
Sat 04/07/2018 (7pm/$39.50)

palacestpaul.com

I’ll never forget seeing The Decemberists play in 2015 (their first tour after a hiatus) and they played my favorite Decemberists song “The Mariner’s Revenge Song”, which I would have never thought could be played live for the fact that the song is over 10 minutes long. And at the end, they brought out a cardboard whale, and it was just a fun, unforgettable show.

The Decemberists’ new album I’ll Be Your Girl is out now on Capitol Records.

NPR Music’s 2016 Tiny Desk Contest winner Gaelynn Lea (from Duluth, MN) has been selected to open the two-night residency at the Palace Theatre in St Paul. The Decemberists are huge fan of this unique folk fiddler, so be sure to show up early to check out her music.
