The madness extends to music–
Minneapolis is starting to get spoiled with all of the A-List talent coming through as, after hosting the Super Bowl and all its associated festivities last year, The NCAA Final Four Basketball Finals took place at U.S. Bank Stadium for a memorable series of two semi-final games and a championship game that would go into overtime.
The March Madness Music Series headlined by the March Madness Music Festival took place inside at The Armory beginning on Friday night, with a concert from The Chainsmokers and Judah and The Lion.
Usually held outdoors in an outdoor area that holds 30-40,000 people, the organizers were unsure about the Minnesota weather, so instead booked into the much smaller 8,400 capacity Armory, making for a more intimate show, if you were lucky enough to reserve a free ticket.
We were fortunate enough to secure a Photo Pass to show you scenes from the first several minutes of each act (though sadly, weren’t allowed to stay past that).
Local DJ Lenka Paris was obviously having fun spinning before and between sets and Nashville’s Judah and the Lion has grown leaps and bounds since we saw them less than five years ago at the 7th Street Entry .The Chainsmokers (who flew out immediately following, for a late night gig in Las Vegas the same night) are arguably the most popular EDM act currently in the world.
