First Avenue

Sat 05/11/2019 (7pm/$25)

first-avenue.com

The original laidback Evan Dando is returning as The Lemonheads to First Avenue this May 11th in support of their 10th album Varshons 2.

Growing up in the 90s, you absolutely own the Lemonheads’ album, It’s a Shame About Ray. The record had the hit title track, and some fun songs like “Rockin Stroll” and “Alison’s Starting to Happen” … and who could forget the Simon & Garfunkel cover “Mrs Robinson”?

We last saw Dando in Oct 2011 and wrote how popular the show was: “Originally, The Lemonheads were scheduled to play in the closet-sized 7th Street Entry, but seeing as tickets sold-out, they upgraded the band to the full-sized room at First Avenue.”

Special guest will be Tommy Stinson, you know, from the Minneapolis-legendary band The Replacements? This should be an amazing show.
