Acclaimed singer-songwriter Catie Turner will be headlining the 7th Street Entry on June 21st. She previously was here with Valley in March 2022….

Acclaimed singer-songwriter Catie Turner just headlined the 7th Street Entry on Wednesday night. From hearing her stories on stage, I got the impression that this was her first headlining tour (she previously opened for Valley in March 2022 and Leon in June 2022), and to make the most of it, she put together the entire show: from stage dressing (with the vanity mirror) to the spin-to-win wheel to intermission of voice mail from her phone. Some may say she’s gone overboard, but I just thought she wanted to put together her perfect show for her adoring fans.

Opening the show was Baby Fisher (aka Sam Fisher), who started the show much earlier than what the venue listed on their website. The singer and songwriter starting playing the guitar at age 12, and day dreaming about being a musician. He earned the nickname “Baby” Fisher by being the youngest in any group… and the funny thing is, Sam Fisher is still very young, being a touring musician.

Next up was Sophie Holohan, who said her name rhymed with ‘hologram’, only she’s funner. She also shared with us that she is Catie Turner’s roommate… so they must like each other, as when they’re not at home together, they’re working on the road together.

Highlight of her set was “Good Mourning” with a medley of Billie Eilish’s “Happier Than Ever”. As soon as the first few lyrics of the song was sung, everyone in the audience was singing along.

Holohan ended her set with “Co-Dependent”.

Fans packed the dancefloor in front to show Catie Turner love and support. Turner is in a very good mood, as she dances and laughs throughout her headlining set. It’s her show and she can do whatever she wants.

Unfortunately, due to curfew for this all-ages show, she had to limit songs from her first EP. Since fans still love those songs, she put those songs on a Spin-To-Win Wheel and had one of her die-hard fans spin it for a random song. The song on our show was “Therapy”.

Highlight of her set was High School Musical’s “Breaking Free”, which her roommate, Sophie Holohan, came on stage to help drive the song.

The double song encore featured “Stepmom” and “Hometown”, both songs are about love and family. Turner described “Hometown” as “about when you feel unsafe and unfamiliar in what is supposed to be the most familiar place in the world, all because of a failed relationship.”

Remaining tour dates:

06/23 – Denver, CO – Globe Hall

06/24 – Salt Lake City, UT – Kilby Court

06/27 – West Hollywood, CA – Troubadour

06/28 – San Francisco, CA – Brick & Mortar Music Hall
